I'm a patriotic American. I have served our country and I wholeheartedly committ myself to our founding principals.
A countries founding principles do not decide its peoples qualities and to think so is ignorant. People are what make a country what it is, and people
are defined by their CURRENT society & environment, that which they mimic in order to learn. America's civilians could be swapped with Indias & there
would still be those that lived according to the principles America was founded on, and those that wouldn't.
There is nothing intrinsically special inherited by you because you came into this world on a different patch of land to your neighbour.
Our president is the dumbest smart guy I've ever seen.
take a good hard look in the mirror.
He's like my wife, he just spends spends spends without a thought as to where the money comes from.
nice to know you love & respect your wife enough not to publically ridicule her....oh wait, scratch that.
Public servant, he's blown more on vacations this summer than my father was worth when he died, and he wasn't poor. lol.
I see you focused on that vacation story they wanted you distraced with....
I firmly believe that if America doesn't defend freedom in this world nobody will.
...so self rightous..
This world has needed America for more than 200 years. They've needed our economy, they need our financial aid, they need our military to
protect them against the powers that have tried to establish widespread dominance.
read that thread about doublethink, you virtually breath the stuff.
"We had to destroy the village in order to save it."
They need us to protect their ability to be free.
I do not need you to make my desicions for me.
The world frowns upon our actions with Iraq and the Taliban.
no thats wrong. We've been frowning AT LEAST since the Vietnam war.
I haven't seen a successful teror attack from the crippled Al Quaeda or the barely functional Taliban since we went after them.
are you referring to 9/11? if you are then you are delusional. It was a false flag. are you the only american left who doesn't realise that yet?
We have the premier military in the world, we should have used it at full capacity.
gee and I wonder where all your debt came from too...you've always had the best military, you just never stop improving it out of fear that someone
will trump you. most of Americas international moves are fear or power driven.
We're proud people
yeah no sh*t, ya'think!!
When your countries are threatened who do you call? USA.
thats not USUALLY how it works tho, USUALLY America only LOANS money at high interest to the countries that America was involved in destroying in the
first place. To claim that as noble is ludicrous. And I personally call the ghost busters.
Many of us have served or still serve in our military because we feel its an honor to serve our country that affords us more freedoms than
anywhere else in the world.
There is no way you can proove that America affords more freedoms because asides from not actually meaning anything, it is no longer true either.
Australia & sweden both have better standards of living, and aren't involved in wars that we initiated.
Our current trade deficit is almost 280 billion dollars for jan-july 2010. We give too much. We give other countries opportunities to
capitalize on our consumers too much. We are too nice. We're too concerned with the worlds opinion of us.
are these throw away statements meant to actually relate to each other or mean something?
you sound like the ranting post man from psychonauts....
"we must deliver the post for liberty,
we are the post men of justice,
we must find the milk man of love,
we must deliver the milk to the milk man...."
And I'll carry my happy arse to Australia.
And I'll be there to kick your ass straight back out again!
But before you run around bashing us as a whole try appreciating all the good we've done.
you are delusional. What is good for "America" is often bad for everyone else as proven time & time again throughout history.

[EDIT: I want to add that I know there are good Americans whose efforts to make change for the better are stifled, that corruption can stomp things
out and that real life is never as black & white as it seems. I also want to make clear that I don't propose to have the answers or that there is
anything special about me because I hold a particular point of view. It is just one perspective out of many. I would love to see what would happen if
the smart, brave, honest &
good civilians in America got together, realised their full potential, and used their power to solve the problems
they collectively faced. I believe that is a legitimate possibility.]
