Don't you know?
Now that CNN knows that ATS knows/finds things, we are being used as a source of information, just as journalism has traditionally sniffed out leads.
That is very validating, and we should be honored by it.
Since our information is being verified, it means we are a legitimate source of leads and local eyewitness reports much of the time before mainstream
even knows an event has happened. They (MSM) are recognizing this.
That's why I call ATS the most democratic society. We may believe in ideal utopias, but what we have here is the closest thing to pure democracy,
First Amendment-wise, that is.
Also, our site owners and mods actually interact and care what we think, what we do, and what we request. That's the great upside of democracy when
it is real. To be fair to all, generalizations have to happen, but we police ourselves, and grow thicker skins for it.
Which is all good.
Which is what the mainstream media now knows, and we should realize it.
This is a good time to remember that what we say online is public. Anyone can search it, and we should be responsible with our words.
As far as ethics, that's where the rubber meets the road. Many ATSers will not have to worry about modifying their style for a larger audience,
because they already have respect, knowledge, honor, altruism, and a sense of tolerance.
Bravo, ATS. Don't get stage fright, anyone. And keep your facts clean!
Back on topic:
When someone finds out about these vehicles, please let us know?
It won't be long before lots of things are gone from Google Earth without anyone noticing their presence first. So it's safer to assume that, as
usual, what we see is not entirely accurate on Google Earth, especially since we have let them know that lots of people are watching, and that things
are being noticed.
Also, whoever is in charge of these vehicles now let US know that they are significant enough to hide.
Fears of domestic terrorism? Fears of international terrorism? Could be either or both, a tempting and easy target for a weak-minded person or
group? The thing that bothers me is what I see as a brazen slap in the face.
It would be better if they simply overlaid or Photoshopped the entire lot. To me, we are being treated as idiots. Editing one car at a time,
really?
