Back in 1996, in an effort to change tax laws "to encourage business investment," Congress made it possible for business owners to claim $17,500 in accelerated depreciation on equipment (such as trucks). That amount increased in '01, '02, and '03 from $20,000 to $24,000 to $25,000, respectively. Now, Bush's plan calls for up to $75,000 "accelerated depreciation" for business owners.

Amazing I would have thought one of this forums General Tackleberry my country right or wrongs would have chipped in by now.Yes OP its about trade routes and resources as have all far flung wars of empire since time immemorial.

I really liked the Dire Straits music, but could hardly understand a word, but I'm guessing that it's pretty much anti-war.

My good man

I have been to war and in that war I came very close to being killed many times and received life threatening wounds during that war.

At that time, there was massive opposition to the war and it was mostly lies from the Marxist left.

But, regardless, I would change nothing of my experience, either overseas or upon my return to my own country to be castigated and treated as a pariah by my own countrymen.

I like your post for what it is, even if I know that your message is a bundle of canards that you have learned from those whose agenda is much more insidious than your purported agenda to educate.


Those are nice lyrics, but they do not reflect the sentiments of this combat veteran. I have nothing against idealism, but one cannot ignore experience.
