'___' is the chemical in your brain that releases dream and is released from your pineal gland, which hindus called the "third eye" which your soul leaves your body.

(edited to add: the pineal gland develops before your brain in the roof of your mouth. this also happens the same day that the fetus sexes. It is also the most protected part of the brain and regulates seratonin, perception of light and time.) This is when I believe you reincarnate. I also believe that this is the limit to when abortion should be allowed since it would mean that is when a soul enters your physical body.

The most coincidental thing about the "third eye" is that the pineal gland develops on the 7th week, or 49th day of child's conception. In The Tibetan Book of the Dead also called Bardo Thodol (which is a Buddhist book) It describes how to achieve enlightenment while alive on Earth and the process of reincarnation in which you pass through the 7 Bardos. The book says that you reincarnate in 49 days after you die. The Ancient Egyptians realized this as well and is symbolized in the burials of pharaohs.

Well described, also to add few notes to this... apparently when a child is born their Pineal Gland automatically created a high amount of '___'. Over time as "elfulanozutan0" has mentioned above '___' slowly decreases as the child gets older (which may explain why as we get older we get out of touch with our past and inner self) as if we slowly start forgetting our past. Only a very small dose of '___' remains and is ONLY active when we're dreaming or when we're at a highest meditation (most elder monks can naturally recreate '___' to a small portion, which many claim allows communication with other beings and our own past)

Also when a man dies (mostly people that clinically die for x amount of time and come back, this has been clinically monitored), many claim to see a tunnel of light and their loved one either from this life or previous life come to greet them... they slowly start remember WHO and WHAT they are (just like when we wake up from a deep dream and for the first few minutes we're not sure if we're awake or sleep) their Pineal Gland actually starts recreating '___' to the same amount as we have when we were born naturally. Many believe '___' simply works as a Gateway to our "source" and it's at it's highest peak during Birth and Death!

The theory goes as to say that's our purpose here (on Earth and this plane of existence), if we all remember that we were already here many, many times then it will discourage us from learning anything new or simply we stop evolving, I guess one would say... "why bother moving forward?". So forgetting our past is crucial way to keep us to continue evolving.

The reason I think we create '___' while we're dreaming is because we're being plugged in to our source (only reason why we're sane and can function on this plane), maybe that's why the entire living organism all sleep 1/3 of the life time and as clinically proven if one doesn't not sleep for a long period of time they start becoming insane and loose control of the scene of reality.... we all need to be charged up a little so we can manage to explore this plane of existence... this is not our natural way of existing, it's simply a school.. play ground... where we can EVOLVE.

So... cheer up... be happy... LIVE.... because we live in a world of fiction, full of contradiction!

Cute kid and all but this just confirms to me that it's proof of demonic influence. Reincarnation is bunkola. If I say to you, " When I die, I'll contact you with this secret word..", even if you and I are the only ones in the room, there is at least one more listening and hears. Aggressively, or subtly, evil spirits manipulate people to drag them further from Christ. They have been around since the Garden of Eden and can relate detailed information just as easily as you and I can recall stories from our own experiences. Satan took a 1/3 of the angels with him when he fell from grace. They are everywhere. "It's appointed ONCE for man to die, and then the Judgement." Just the way it is and no amount of arrogance or sense of 'enlightment' to the contrary changes that. My heart goes out to that family, they are being used through an innocent child. But evil doesn't care about innocence, does it? Believe now, or believe later. But, someday, the real truth will be realized. God Bless you all. I know we all here seeking truth in the world, and beyond. It's been hidden in plain site all along. A second look, is my prayer for you.

I could say, take a look at all the animals and plants that are going extinct for your answer, but I don't particularly buy into that thought process.

Personally, I see no reason why new souls cannot be born. Additionally, we are assuming that all souls originate, and must remain, on this planet.

As a Christian you are entitled to that option. Just keep in mind that there are religions much older, with Hinduism being nearly 2000 years older, that don't share that viewpoint.

Reincarnation is not about punishment it is about learning through experience. If your kid touches the hot stove he doesn't need to be slugged. Burning his hand he will learn not to touch the hot stove.

He may not understand why the stove is hot at the time but as he grows in maturity he will know why the stove is hot and many other thing so that he will not need to make every possible mistake to learn everything he need to know. He will learn that other things can harm him also without having to experience their bite.

(Hinduism lacks some light on reincarnation. You will never be reincarnated as a tree or a bug as a punishment. You never go backward you are either static or moving forward. You will always be reincarnated as a human. If you were a bad person in a past life even though you may not have a memory of it now you may be put in circumstances in this life so that you learn what it like and choose not to do that in future lives. Even though you do not remember we do not loose our experiences and memories can be recovered too and eventually all of them will be.)

So it is with the Human Soul eventually we come to a realization of why we are here and where we are going and the many experiences that contribute to our progression good and bad so we can live in peace and harmony with each other through out eternity.

In this light reincarnation makes perfect sense as we have a lot to learn and are just little children reaching for the hot stove so to speak in the scheme of eternity right now.

I completely disagree on all fronts. What's the point of learning through experience when you never remember the experience you were to learn from in the first place?

Reincarnation IS punishment. Your job on this earth is to free yourself from the bonds of Karma that've been arbitrarily thrust upon you.

The fact that you are even born on this Earth in the first place - regardless of aspect - is punishment for not getting it right the time prior.

The only way to know whether or not you've "Done It Right" is when your soul finally transcends Karma - meaning - you win when you stop coming back to Earth for more "lessons."

It is when you finally break the Karmic Bonds that you transcend - and mortal vessels are no longer necessary.

Therefore, my next life will be determined by my conduct in this one, so, come next life - what from this life will I be taking to that new life to learn or grow from, hrm?

How can we apply what we've learned from past experiences to new ones if we can not remember what it is we've experienced?.

Sorta like failing a math quiz every day because you suck at math. Instead of being allowed a tutor to help you pass the first time with flying colors, you're left to languish with the consequences of merely being a human being.

So, yeah..I strongly disagree.

Reincarnation is VERY real, the video is one of the many who can remember their past life.

www.near-death.com... MANY CASES OF REINCARNATION AND RESEARCHES...

Yes there is hell, heaven, GOD, angels, higher ranked angles (gods).

I will explain and make it crystal clear. For example the kid in the video died and then reborned after 50 years, so what about those 50 years, well most likely he was in hell. Yes you dont stay hell for ever only for a certain time, you ALWAYS GET A CHANCE FROM GOD.

You can be reincarnated in lower form such as animals or you can be in higher life such as gods (dont confuse them with GOD). All depends on how good you was in your past life.

Heaven can be reached VERY hardly, only the real good souls go there, mostly you need to be a god to go heaven... But heaven is not all. I found that lifes purpose is not heaven it is GODS HAPPINESS, make HIM as happy as you can. DOnt worry you will still be happy because if you make GOD happy you automatically will be happy.

I personally have never rectified my feelings on Reincarnation. I am a Christian, and the one thing that has stood out to me in the bible is that its never very clear on death. In some parts it says we are asleep, in other parts it seems to make it clear that when we die there is nothing afterwards till the end times, and then in other areas God warns us to stay away from ghosts. Which begs the question..why would he warn us away from them if they are not there? Then there seems to be reincarnates in the bible...Enoch, Elijah, Joshua to Jesus, etc. So, while I believe in God and that he created everything, and I believe in Jesus and that he died on a cross for my sins and came back to life, the fact is, I have no idea what my true beliefs are when it comes to death. Not just because the bible doesn't make it clear, but just because there are so many "proves" out there concerning ghosts and stories like this. I even have a few of my very own ghost stories that I remember very very vividly. That all being said I have something that has actually disturbed me greatly since my 2nd child has been born. I've never said a thing to anyone, but here it goes. I have a strong sickening sense at times that she is the reincarnated child of my brothers daughter who died as a baby. Let me start my story.

Madison was born January 16th 2002. Her mother had gone into preterm labor 5 times and they stopped it each time. Finally things seemed to quiet down and Madison was born a week early. Right away we knew something was wrong. Doctors took the baby, closed all the curtains and wouldn't give anyone any information. They said she had pnemonia. She was transferred to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. It turned out she had Left Heart Ventrical Disease. I was the first person to the hospital, my brother and his wife due to her still being in the hospital could not get down to the hospital right away. I was put in charge of any medical decisions. I was escorted into her room where they had her hooked up. Basically the disease is where the left part of the heart that moves the blood in the proper direction was nothing but scar tissue, basically her heart could not pump. Now, when a baby is born, there is a valve in their lungs that stays open, and this allows the blood to flow in a certain way, after about 3 days to a week, the valve closes and the heart takes over. So, in 3 days, when her valve was to close, instead of her heart taking over, the blood would begin to flow into her lungs and she would basically drown. No, there was no fix. They explained to us that in order for her to survive, she would have to undergo 2 operations and then a heart transplant. But more than most likely by the time the operations were done, she would be a vegetable, because not enough oxygenated blood would flow. That was if she made it through the first operation which was only a 2percent success rate for her. Oh God....I made the decision for her not to go through that. Her life, what little of it would be, would have been her living in the hospital. Instead I thought she should be home, where we can hold her and love her. I was the first person ever to hold her, and I did all that rest of the day and all night till my brother could get to the hospital. My brother agreed with my decision and they took her home. The doctor told us at most we had 3 days with her. She lived until February 19th and died 5am February 20th. My brothers Birthday was on the 19th. They told us 3 days....she lived over a month. She looked just like my brother's baby picture a complete image of it, down to this birthmark of white hair that he had on his head. Small little features and tan skin.

Peyton, my second child was born August 16th 2007. Some things here: Madison had been born January 16th. Not significant. But curious. When Peyton was born my mother and I both cried, and we resisted sending photos of her to my brother. She looked just like Madison. Continued:........

Seriously...don't you types ever get tired of living in total fear...is your god soo weak as to have demons slamming against you all the time forever or does it just not give a crap about how distorted and strong the other side seems?

-yawn-

Satan is everywhere, everything you see, hear about, or experience is a demon of some sort...
Seems Satan is the one with all the power and the only thing you hear from God is "one day these demons will pay...one day...until then, good luck, your on your own".

-add: Heres a novel idea....WE are the fallen angels...We are the demons...every last one of us. Now, perhaps these entities and such are the ones that need to be warned of us and not visa versa

Your suble body or sukshma-sharira, also known as the astral body, retains that information. You do learn. You may not be consciously aware of it, but it is there. You are influenced by it and it influences you as it is the sum of all you have learned.

There is thousands of stories like this and many books and lots of research. Most people can be regressed and remember some of thier past lives using hypnosis or put into a relaxed state.

We have all lived many lives and will live many more on this plane and then onto higher planes of existence it is all part of the progression of the human soul.

reluctant-messenger.com...

Probably the best known, if not most respected, collection of scientific data that appears to provide scientific proof that reincarnation is real, is the life's work of Dr. Ian Stevenson. Instead of relying on hypnosis to verify that an individual has had a previous life, he instead chose to collect thousands of cases of children who spontaneously (without hypnosis) remember a past life. Dr. Ian Stevenson uses this approach because spontaneous past life memories in a child can be investigated using strict scientific protocols. Hypnosis, while useful in researching into past lives, is less reliable from a purely scientific perspective. In order to collect his data, Dr. Stevenson methodically documents the child's statements of a previous life. Then he identifies the deceased person the child remembers being, and verifies the facts of the deceased person's life that match the child's memory. He even matches birthmarks and birth defects to wounds and scars on the deceased, verified by medical records. His strict methods systematically rule out all possible "normal" explanations for the child’s memories.

[edit on 8-7-2010 by hawkiye]

My mother is a very strong believer in this, the jury is still out for me. My mother has a story of me going to a regression session (for lack of a better word), now I remember this session. I remember meeting this doctor, I remember lying down, and I remember him attempting to put me under hypnosis (or whatever it is called). The only thing I remember after that is waking up. No time seemed like it had passed and my life moved on.

Now my mother stayed in the room for the whole event and she tells a very different story. Including me describing a concentration camp, speaking in German, describing my uniform and what I did there. She claims she researched the described uniform and actually found it. She claims I described every last detail of the uniform. I never have asked her if I supposedly mentioned a name, but I might now.

I personally thought my mother was just making it up and having fun with me, but she swears to this day that this is true. She first told me the story when I was around 17-18 years old, I am now in my late 30's. She sure seems like she believes every word of it, and she is not crazy that I can tell, except for this one story lol.

We resisted sending any pictures to my brother, she looked just like Madison, something that wasn't even in our mind. My brother was in Iraq, he was newly married with a whole family of 3 kids and they were stationed in Hawaii. Peyton was only 9 months when she first met him...and I'll never forget it...she held her arms out to him and smiled real big and exclaimed "DADDY!" mom and I both looked at each other because she was just shocked but I was horrified. Over the nine months there were things I noticed about my child that were not normal, not in any sense when you really really thought about them. She slept through the night from the first time we brought her home. She took to only one blanket, the one Madison had used to be wrapped up in on quite a few nights. She had toes just like my brother and within a week a birthmark of white hair showed up on her forehead. She was alert and held her head up from about a day of being born and was walking by 8mths. She has his toes, she sucks her left thumb (he is the only person in our family left handed) and she plays with her hair ( something my brother has always done) other things too...just little quirks and mannerisms, the way she holds her hands, she is addicted to hot dogs, her personality is just like his and yet..she didn't meet him till 9mths and then he was back to Iraq, she has only met him a handful of times and yet each time? when she sees him? she runs to him and states "daddy" now...she says "daddy...I mean Uncle Jojo" (and yes, just for added info, her real daddy and I are married and he lives with us) I could go on about all the mannerisms but they seem small and insignificant when typing them out..but to see them, on a child that is only his niece? and who he has barely ever been around? she is very close to me and my mother, like she comforts us. but heres where it gets a bit chilling. She is only 2, soon to be 3..but she knows things, things that a 2-3 year old should not know without some help. For one example...I had brought in the mail one day and she began singing "happy birthday" and inside was a birthday card for my husband (this was when she was about 16mths) and no..she did not see the card first. She knows who is calling on the phone. We started her in dance when she was 18mths, and when the day of the week came she knew it was that day. Other little things like that...that when seperated add up to nothing but when put together make a startling picture. She asks about the baby, where is the baby? This started just this past year. We don't know what baby she speaks of. She asks for the little boy, (madison's mommy had a little boy from a previous marriage) we show her pictures of all the boys in our family but she says no, we show her pictures of her friends, she says no. But then says, not them the little boy! So here is where the kicker came. My brother when coming back from Iraq got in touch with his exwife, he wanted permission to buy the gravesite next to Madisons grave. She met up with him because she and he were both in better places in their lives and you see, when Madison had been born and we knew she would not live long, I gave them all of my oldest daughters things to use for her. She met up with him in order to give them back. One item was a bassinet. Madison's bed, her only bed. We brought it in to place in the garage, intending to have a yard sale. Peyton upon seeing cried out "my bed, my bed! you found it!" I threw up.

There have been no more larger issues, the mannerisms are still there her connection to the blankie is still with her and her baby dolls now sleep in the bassinet. She tells us the baby used to sleep there. Now...would you like to see the pictures?

Interesting.

I always thought it was interesting that Mary didn't recognize Jesus after He was resurrected.

John 20:15-16

15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener , saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

The Bible has a lot of verses that, to me, hint toward reincarnation but on the other hand it says men are appointed once to die and then the judgment. But I could even fit reincarnation into that if I wanted.

Heb 9:26-27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

I'm still on the fence and it doesn't matter to me either way. Some people I've talked to don't want to come back to this earth. If reincarnation does exist, I wonder if we have a choice to come back.

I don't think reincarnation undermines Christianity. But there are probably some Christians that disagree with me on this.

Peace

You don't necessarily have to Reincarnate onto this earth Friend, there are so many other entities/dimensions/galaxies with life to reincarnate to, don't for a minute think that we always come back to this earth as we know it.

This story pops up every year.

It is fairly interesting this time as every time it pops up.

As a child, I prayed to Jesus for awesome dreams, and if there was such things as past lives, then dreams of it. What I got was a series of dreams that I still have new ones for. A freaking fractal crap ton were war dreams of me in all sorts of outfits in all sorts of wars, not all on Earth, leading young me to believe that I have a long history of warrior lives.

To test the theory, I played paintball and for some reason was exceptionally epic at it. This skill that I did not know I had for killing... well... fake killing. The point is simple, I was a killer.

Rome, Atlantis, America, something I don't even think was human, and even stuff from what looked like the future. I was a helluva killer.

So I was all like "really?... really???!! can't I take a break from that this life?" and in a prayer God was like, yea sure bub. So now I do architecture.

Than I realized maybe I had it wrong. What if all this silliness about past lives was actually the memories and skills of some sort of angels who did those things or something like that?

That's my current belief as a Christian. They were either the ravaging dreams of a young kid hungry for war, or the skills imprinted by others for some reason if I ever need it. The later scares me for my future.

I can't honestly know for sure about past lives. I mean it makes logical sense. Mo lives, mo experience! Greater chance of salvation for God's people. Makes perfectly fine sense. But the one problem I have with reincarnation is that if it is real, wouldn't it be a crap ton easier just to extend human viability another century? I mean, if humans lived for 200 years instead of 80 something like they do now, or 120 as it says in the Bible, then I feel as if humans would not need reincarnation, and it would be a freaking ton easier remembering your past mistakes as well.

There's just no point to reincarnation other than being doomed to repeat your mistakes and do stupid crap all over again. For what? It would be more effective to live longer and learn more.

I don't doubt the possibility of other life in the universe. I've seen two UFOs at about 1/4 mile away - 1984. If they were man made I would be very surprised.
------------------------------
Anyway, I still think reincarnation could exist for some and not for all. I think this thing we have called free-will could also exist in the spirit realm.

I think there could be brand new souls and there could also be old souls. I think some could be forced back to earth and some could have a choice to come back or not come back.

I think, but I don't KNOW. And I will not know until I'm set free of this veil which is my body.
