Actually, they were 'prepared' to if the US attacked them.
They didnt WANT TO, they were prepared to. This was their leaders own words to Macnamara!

He is a murdering despot, who doesn't even care about his own people... But go ahead and keep drinking that cool-aid... You are probably another one of those lefties who thinks every Cuban who left the island is "an imperialist CIA agent"....

Castro may be what he may be....

But he is a 100% honest sincere man that has never lied. when he says something he means it.

Like when he told every Cuban in Cuba that they all had his permission to leave Cuba, but never to return.

Kennedy was the one left choking on his invitation to the boat loads of Cubans that kept coming and Kennedy was the one who turned on his word when he stopped permitting Cubans from coming to the USA.

Even Castro's worst enemies in the USA government will tell you the man has no fear and is nothing but Honest with what he says.

One time the CIA sent an operative to kill Castro, the operative was a beautiful woman who ended up in his bed. That same night Castro but a gun right on her counter and told her he did not fear death. She ended up being discharged from the mission because she fell in love with him and could not kill him. This was just one of the many, many failed assassination attempt on Castro by the CIA.

Wow. I call this article the singular most important news of this month.

Obama has committed to attend the quarterfinals match on July 2, if his country’s team makes it to that stage.

Qualified statement, of course. They didn't, he won't. BUT, there is an insight into something else. Obama's need to be elsewhere.

I've been following the writings of Castro for a while now, and have come to admire his insight, and obvius concern over world affairs. There IS an alliance between:
Cuba, Iran, South Africa, Venezuala, Zimbabwe and some others. Old Russian ties, and new Chinese ones. I include my country, and Zim because recently Ahmadinejad was securing mining contracts with Zim for: uranium, and our (SA) politicians have been working closely with those naions for a while now, specifially Cuba.

monthlyreview.org...
READ IT. There is a WEALTH of information there, remember, old and fragile perhaps, but that man still recieves daily intelligence briefings from around the globe. He is not hearsay, he knows.

He keeps referring to the World Cup (in South Africa) as a diversion. All that he has said is showing itself to be true. This man has no reason to lie, he is above petty politics now. And following the Cuban Missile crisis, i imagine he knows hat the US and others are capable of. We learn history, he lived it.

Diabolical news is filtering little by little between games and games in the World Cup, in a way that nobody is paying much attention to it.

North Korea had been accused of something that it did not carry out, which prompted the urgent journey of Kim Jong II to China in an armored train.

The leadership of North Korea, which was accused of the sinking of the Cheonan, and is all too well aware that it was sunk by a mine that the yanki intelligence services succeeded in placing in the hull of that corvette, will not hesitate for one second to act as soon as the attack is initiated on Iran.

I have absolutely no doubt that as soon as the American and Israeli warships are deployed –alongside the rest of the American military vessels positioned off the Iranian coasts-- and they try to inspect the first merchant ship from that country, there will be a massive launching of missiles in both directions. At that moment exactly the terrible war will begin. It’s not possible to estimate how many vessels will be sunk or from what country.

This old statesmanat least has the decency to share his insight and knowlege with us, everybody. i would call him curently "le grande commentator" of this great chess battle that is curently unfolding before us. Indeed, he knows all the pieces on the board, where they are and where they are being moved to. He is a chess player that has effectively defeated the best the US had to throw at him, over a span of 50 years, coninuously. His own influence is small i believe, but he knows that victory lies not with weapons, but knowledge.

peace

Oh yes castro wanted to. Pretty much every speech made by castro, and more so in the old days he would talk about nothing more than all Cubans being prepared for a future conflict with the U.S.

I am sorry but you have no idea of what you are talking about.... castro lies, and has lied more than any other despot politician....

BTW, in case you didn't know, and in order for the U.S. to close their doors to Cubans castro set free criminals, not political prisoners but real criminals, and put them in boats alongside some real good Cuban people during the Cuban exodus during the 1980 boatlift...

This was a tactic used by castro to try to force the hand of the U.S. to close their doors to Cuban immigrants...

Do you mean lied more overall or in concentration? Since Castro has had power longer than most politicians, it's only natural, but I believe if former President Bush had the same time in power as Castro, well...

Have you been paying any attention recently?

For starters you're going to be going to war with Iran, who can block the Straight of Hormuz.

Venezuela, who have just seized US oil rigs, while you've got the Gulf of Mexico Oil spill happening and hurricane season is coming, risking you losing more rigs.

North Korea. Who is threatening total war unless the US gives it 65 trillion dollars.

And Hezbollah and the Quds force are in Latin America spreading Islam and packing biological weapons to come across your totally unsecured southern borders. After having made friends with Mexican drug cartels.

And there are also gangs of La Raza revolutionary socialist forces openly spreading in LA and other southern states.

Fidel Castro. Former President of Cuba is saying at the start of this thread basically what is going to happen. And not only will there be oil disruptions there are going to be food disruptions.

Now bearing all that in mind, and the fact that the US has just rounded up Russian Spies inside the country.

That the US is heavily in debt and people are getting wiped out by debt and unemployment.

There are also stories on this board about the Whitehouse openly saying they have a list of citizens they want to assassinate.

Do you think the elite actually cares about Joe Sixpack? They aren't even warning you to stock up or get ready at all for major supply disruptions or attacks on your soil.

Thank you for summing it up like this!
Great post on a great thread.
I had to look up La Raza... OMG!
And, all of these things you have listed add-up to me, as:
Past time to get ready! It's time to BE READY!
Thanks again. I gotta go.

Every time it is convinient for him and his regime they lie. They indoctrinatte people since childhoold, I was one of them, to hate the United States and every Capitalist nation and people in the world.

He lied, and probably paid, Michael Moore to make up the lie that Cubans can get any medicine really cheap... my parents and I have to send all sort of medicine to my family in Cuba because they can't get them, not to mention that even aspirins are scarce and other necessities such as rubber gloves for doctors etc are non-existant.

However, the hospitals for rich tourists, and for the rich Socialist elite are stocked to the ceiling with anything and everything.

I have two uncles who are doctors in Cuba, a cousin who is a dentist, and other family members with different professions living in Cuba.

The last time I was in Cuba was in 2001 and i spent about a month or so with my family in Cuba.

I remember the hospitals in Cuba in the 70s because my mother was a nurse and she would take me with her to work once in a while on the weekends, what i saw in 2001 was many times worse.

Communist dictators ALWAYS claim the Socialist system is perfect, and that can't be farther from the truth, they are the most imperfect systems in the world.

Yeah Castro forced the USA to flip Cubans the bird after inviting them to the USA. What a load of crock.

The USA was trying to Make Castro look bad thinking he would not permit his people to go to America but after calling the USA on their bluff the USA showed themselves for the loud mouth two faced shallow pricks they really are.

Castro will forever be the only Fearless Man on earth to stand up to the Big Bad USA and make it shake in it's own puddle of urine. I'm not saying he's a saint but the guy has BALLS!

So stop trying to make him look like a lying punk, because your just making yourself loos credibility. Try doing what Castro does and be honest.

Castro does do many things that sucks to the Cuban people. But what gets me is that most Cubans love to boast about their educated relatives who are only doctors and lawyers because of socialist education Thanks to Castro.

Cubans love to talk about the poor engineer who has to be a prostitute because there are no jobs in Cuba. Well let me tell you some thing, there are just as many whores in the USA and Mexico but none of them are engineers like the whores in Cuba. In the USA and Mexico they are just whores with no education, or they are forced to whore themselves out so they can get an education.

And the main reason why Cuba lacks in Supplies is because of US sanctions and embargoes. You never hear a Cuban talk about that when they tell their tales of woe about the poor people of Cuba.

Yeah and your "personal knowledge" comes from?.....

BTW, castro sent his spies to the U.S., several have been caught even in seats of power as well as professors in Universities.... Not to mention that castro wanted and most probably was the reason for JFK being assassinated.

For every "American conspiracy against the Communist regime" there are 10 "Cuban conspiracies against the U.S."....

oh wow, yeah and they paid for that "education" through years of hard labor since childhood working in child labor camps...

Since 11-12 years old children in Cuba have to work for free for the state for 45 days under the worse conditions, year after year, and they nor their parents can't say no... if they do the children are taken away because "the parents are stopping the children from becoming "good Communists"...

Not to mention the fact that the grammar of even doctors in Cuba is worse than some of the English grammar i have seen people use in these boards... so don't believe that the Cuban education is so good...

Oh and btw, I became a field engineer because of my U.S. education. It has nothing to do with "Socialist systems teach better than Capitalist ones"...

If they wanted wealth - I would agree your answer is logical - but the guys at the top don't need it. Rothschilds fortune is estimated at $500 trillion - he could basically buy the US - nope he wants his plan to be fulfilled - he wants to enact Armageddon as described in the bible - so he can bring Jesus back and be a God.

Isn't Rothschild a Jew?
What would he want with Jesus?.
I think its another God he has in mind.
And one I don't much fancy.

45 days? the horror!

Dude your talking to a Mexican, I started working at the age of 13 so I could God Damn Eat and go to school!

And in the USA children are taken away from their parents if they catch them giving them a spanking, let alone catch them trying to instill some work ethics in their kids. In the US a kid and sell papers or cookies or any other corporate crap their schools make them sell that's about it. But children are taken from their parents in the USA over nothing all the time.

Not to mention the fact that the grammar of even doctors in Cuba is worse than some of the English grammar i have seen people use in these boards... so don't believe that the Cuban education is so good...

Well the fact that you used the terrible grammar on a board where the majority of people are educated in the USA as a slanderous comparison of the educational standards of those in Cuba just shows how bad your own critical thinking skills are.

You can't insult grammar taught in America and use it as a means to insult that of Cuba's in an attempt to demonstrate the terrible standards of socialist education. That makes no sense.

Because what you have just said is that poor underfunded, undersupplied Cuban education is at the very least as good as that of the Big Bad wonderful USA.

Oh and btw, I became a field engineer because of my U.S. education. It has nothing to do with "Socialist systems teach better than Capitalist ones"...

Well I can only Hope you did not have to whore your body out to pay for that education like many people in the USA do every day. Hey but at least the don't have to work for 45 days as a child.

A lot of people ridicule Castro but I have for many years now thought that he is actually very much in the know. He is portrayed a lot of the time as a lunatic and I feel they do this because he is actually hitting the proverbial nail on the head when it comes to exposing the real truth.

Castro is trying to tell us something I think.

People on this board who support the likes of Castro, Chavez, and Ahmadinejad simply because they oppose our traitor leaders make me sick. The humanitarian neglect, self-serving acts, and policies of throwing away as much of their people's rights as possible is enough to realize their inentions are not noble, upright, or full of integrity in any way whatsoever. Yet, I hear people on this board say, "Castro is a hero" in the face of the poster ElectricUniverse, who grew up in Cuba.

Opposing the industrial war machine that is the United States is awesome! Taking sides with the extremists on the other side is rediculous, repulsive, and shows that the capacity to deny ignorance is being replaced by emotion, extremism, and political madness.

Please, if you ever find yourself thinking positive thoughts about dictators such as the ones listed above, look at your intentions, motifs, and lastly, have a lobotomy.

He is from Cuba. That may be why his grammar is a bit below most posters. He is talking from pure Cuban experience and you are bashing his perspective? Maybe you should wake up and realize the truth of what Cuba is to the powerless people within its borders.
