Ok, I realize it's Castro, but this is a very intuitive and well thought out letter, regarding the possibility of conflict with Iran.... give it a read

I would put more money on this document than any Webbot, CBS, ABC, NBC, Faux News and CNN combined.

Wow. Just wow. He really believes this will "immediately go nuclear."

I've never read any of his Reflections in the past, but I'm going to go see if I can hunt them down for 2007...the last time Israel and the U.S. brought the world to this brink.

This is pretty alarming:

The Pentagon, with the consent of the President of the United States, supplied the South African racists through Israel with about 14 nuclear bombs, more powerful than those dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as we have indicated in previous Reflections.

I think I missed something. When was this? Do we know it as another name, another incident?

Overall he seems very calm about this. And pretty resigned.

I'm not sure he's right about France, and who knows about Great Britain.

Okay, I quickly read through the Reflections for summer 2007, and nothing I saw there around that time had alarming predictions like this.

So would I.

So strange we see these so called "Insane dictators" trying to warn or prepare their people for the upcoming war. A war we on ATS know is coming.

But our own leaders totally deny anything and have done nothing to get us ready.

Do they even care about us down here, trying to work and pay off things barely making it from week to week? Do they even know what will happen to us because they haven't prepared us?

I am neither a prophet nor a fortune teller. Nobody told me a word of what was to happen. It has all been the result of what I today describe as a logical reasoning.

We are neither new to this complicated issue nor are we meddlesome.

It is possible to predict what will happen in the rest of the Portuguese and Spanish speaking Americas during the nuclear post crisis.

Under such circumstances, it will not be possible to talk of capitalism or socialism. A stage will open that will see the management of the available goods and services in this part of the continent. Certainly, every country will continue being ruled by those who head the governments today, some very close to socialism and others euphoric over the opening of the world market to fuels, uranium, copper, lithium, aluminum, iron and other metals being sent to the developed and rich countries today that will suddenly disappear.

An abundance of food exported now to that world market will also disappear abruptly.

In these circumstances, the most basic products needed for life: food, water, fuels, and the resources found in the hemisphere south of the United States will suffice to preserve some of the civilization whose unbridled advance has led humanity into such a disaster.

Nevertheless, there are still some uncertainties.

THIS

THIS
THIS

Why is it I have to look to Ahmadinejad or Castro or Chavez to actually hear a leader speak sense?

It's not like Gillard or Cameron or Obama doesn't know this stuff. What are they doing? Nothing.

Yea this is interesting. And I remember hearing something about Fidel Castro's death being in time with a great event, like war or something. Not saying I believe that to be true though. Just thought to bring it up since I haven't heard much from old Castro in a while.

I agree that in July the great war will begin, and the 10 Russian spies arrested today are a cleanup of the US homeland before the great game begins.

Not sure about S.African nukes and the world cup being a part of this though.

Can this really turn nuclear???

Here you go. It's not from him but we've seen the alleged documents here.

Fidel Castro should become an ATS member!!!

He predicts an event: Nuclear war
He states a deadline: July 2 (or before)
He warns of societal collapse: Massive food/supply shortages
He creates a disclaimer: I am not a prophet

I think Fidel Castro would find himself at home here on ATS!

I'm just surprised Castro didn't have an advertisement for gold coins at the end of that letter (now that's a die hard communist for ya!).

for some reason
while I was reading this letter
my mind starting thinking about that
youtube video of Bush Jr saying that
Iraq had tried to obtain nuclear material
from Africa. And then wondered if it was
our own material.

I think you hit on something here. They would want to clean up the spies before ww3 broke out. Thanks for that thought.

This "reflection" from Castro is indeed scary and believable. Like another poster said, it is more believable than anything coming from the MSM or any other source.

Why haven't we been warned to prepare? Because the American government only cares about the Elite. Rest of us are expendable. God help us.....

In all seriousness, this is the most interesting statement of the letter:

He (Obama) supposedly knows better than anyone that the quarterfinals will not be contested because very serious developments will take place before that; or at least he should know.

What does he mean by that? He seems to insinuate that Obama has foreknowledge that Israel and/or the U.S. will stop an Iranian ship in the Persian Gulf before July 2, and that if he doesn't know that it will result in full blown Iranian retaliation, Obama should know it.

Or does he imply knowledge that Israel is going to do it without the U.S.'s consent?

In relation to the World Cup, does anyone know if USA is going to the quarterfinals? Or have they been eliminated? I haven't been keeping up

Edit: Not trying to run this thread aground or anything. Just want to know if Obama is really trying to head to SA right now...

Well look at what we know of the ship movements and build-up.

The US has two carriers and a force of ships basically designed to shoot down missiles, and launch missiles and maintain air supremacy. But it's not an invasion sized fleet.

I think Israel is going to attack, and the US is going to try and defend from an Iranian counter strike but not actually invade the country yet.

Last I heard the U.S. was still in and doing well. But that was a few days ago. I'm starting to wonder if this letter by Castro is just him being sore that the U.S. is doing so well in the World Cup!

You know, somehow I almost feel like that wouldn't be out of character for the guy. But I am, as are many others, taking an odd liking to this statement he's making. I believe him...

Great point. If you knew that your enemy was going to attack your Navy with everything they had, you probably would want just enough ships around to sacrifice (and appear the victim), but not too many that you would be totally crippled. Kind of like Pearl Harbor, perhaps?

Maybe it will go down this way after all. Sounds like a great way to kick off WW3, from the NWO's perspective, of course.

Sorry the USA lost to Ghana on the 26th, so they were out by the time this letter was published. Although that could be explained by him writing the letter a few days before publishing it.

Well then, I guess Castro doesn't have a clue as to what he's talking about then, does it?

That prediction died faster than a seagull in the Gulf of Mexico.

Oh...interesting. I guess we'll see what happens. I just realized 4th of July is this Sunday and I know people have their eye on that date.
