There is a parable at the end of the Sermon on the Mount that tells the story of two men. The first built his house on a pile of sand, and it was destroyed as soon as the storm hit. We cannot rebuild this economy on the same pile of sand. We must build our house upon a rock.

Notice that Obama doesn't refer to Jesus Himself at all, and the passage is misdirected to Obama's own promises of Earthly prosperity rather than obtaining eternal life by basing your life on Jesus (the Rock the builders rejected), while speaking in a Christian landmark with a Christian symbol for Jesus covered with the triangle.

Cascading Catastrophe Scenarios

1. Loss of Buoyancy

Huge methane gas bubbles under a ship can cause a sudden buoyancy loss. This causes a ship to tilt adversely or worse. Therefore, advanced safety measures should be put in place.

2. First Tsunami with Toxic Cloud

If the toxic gas bubble explodes, it might simultaneously set off a tsunami travelling at a high speed of hundreds of miles per hour. Florida might be most exposed to the fury of a tsunami wave. The entire Gulf coastline would be vulnerable, if the tsunami is manifest. Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and southern region of Georgia might experience the effects of the tsunami according to some sources.

3. Second Tsunami via Vaporisation

After several billion barrels of oil and billions of cubic feet of gas have been released, the massive cavity beneath the ocean floor will begin to normalise, allowing freezing water to be forced naturally into the huge cavity where the oil and gas once were. The temperature in that cavity can be extremely hot at around 150 degrees celsius or more. To begin, the Mayan calender does not claim that year to be the end of the world, simply the end of that calender. And, the actual date is 12/23/2010.
But....suppose it IS the end.
The bible claims no one knows the exact date or time.....but that is for when "Jesus" ( who's REAL name is Yeshua, btw) returns, it never said no one knows when the end of days is. hmmm
What we have seen, however, is an increase in natural disasters, violence, hatred etc. But, in order for it to be of major significance, something big time would have to happen fast.
So, lets say the planets line up and we are "vunerable", and there is a solar flare. We will have TWO planets ahead of us to be hit first.
I seriously doubt the actual fire from the Sun is what will get us.
The reason is because most of the "explosion" occurs near the Sun itself, and a million miles away. By the time it reached our atmosphere, it wouldnt have the power to do what is claimed....according to the scientific community.
However....what if, those two planets in front of us are blown to hell?
There you would have the rain of fire and brimstone ( which is SULFUR) that we have been promised. The GIANT CHUNKS from Mercury and Venus ( loaded with SULFUR) would be thrust at us, and could definitely penetrate the atmosphere of Earth.

We already have enough troubles with everything going on in the world, but the utter chaos this would cause would make people lose their faith, resort to worse crimes, and all that is claimed would be happening in the end.
It COULD wipe us all out, but I imagine, it will just make those who are left WISH it had been the end.
Then, the next ( last) pope comes to power, and sides up with Obama, who promises to make everything beautiful again....
This is about the only scenario I can think of that would for fill the whole prophecy.

Also, keep in mind that the sulfur found where GOD rained it did not come from the earth..no sulfur has been found here THAT pure.

As with everything else, this is simply a theory.
What I do know for sure, is I have have dreams for the past 27 odd years, of an earthquake that sucked down the city of Memphis Tn, while I watched from the new bridge ( that hadn't been built yet...but when it was, it was identical to the dreams). Bye bye, Pyramid, Harbor Town, and city, before I wake up. The Mississippi river literally separated America into east and west ( rather than the north and south separation I am used to...lol)
So, yeah, I moved.....By my estimates, I should own ocean front property in a few short years.

The current Pope is the last numbered Pope, according to the prophecy you're referring to, who has already helped Obama enact a world currency. The only thing left is to link it to something on/in the right hand or forehead. The question is would Pope Benedict support even that? "Peter the Roman" could refer to, well, St. Peter himself.

It is interesting, but as for me, it is something that didn't come out of the Orthodox Church, so... Although, if it is really from the person it is attributed to, then it is from a Latin church was much, much closer in time (85 years from the Great Schism) and doctrine to Orthodoxy than the current Roman church is now.

In the realm of Christianity alone, there is a lot to be sorted. Becuase, you are right...times a runnin out.
According to "whats left" of my bible, I've noticed some very important points.
These have lead me to seriously question the Catholic church.
1) No one can forgive you of your sins except GOD....< cough > unless you are Catholic.
2) No one can intercede for you with GOD except his son...unless you are Catholic.
3) GOD is the only one you should pray to....(I think you see where this is going.)
4) You are to call NO ONE "Father", except GOD.......
5) When Angels spoke to man, man always would drop to bow...and the Angels said: "See that you don't do that"...so, GOD is the only one to bow down too, obviously. And, this ring kissing BS really yanks my chain...
6) Emperor Constantine ( who's ENTIRE consul were PAGANS ) "converted" to Christianity ( because, if you can beat em, join em )...he did untold horrors in the name of Christianity..and removed the Sabbath.
7) The bible consists of 66 books. 33 books were removed. Many are mentioned in the bible. ( Is it not written in the book of Enoch?...Is it not written in the book of Jashur? to name a few)
