However, after the government's official acknowledgement of the existence of the J-10, an interview with J-10 pilots (such as test pilot Mr. Li Cunbao (李存宝)) revealed that a domestic engine is highly unlikely to be equipped in J-10s in the near future. In this interview publicized in January 2007, the pilots claimed that though the domestic Chinese engine could match the performance of the Russian one in every parameter, there was a very serious drawback: the domestic Chinese engine, the WS-10, took much longer to reach the same level of performance as its Russian counterpart. (According to Mr. Li Cunbao's experience, as well as other pilots who flew the J-10 with the WS-10A, it took at least 50% longer, and in many other aspects, almost 100% longer.) Although this difference only meant a minute-time differential at most, it was more-than-enough to make a difference between allowing the pilots to safely recover the aircraft by restarting the engine than abandonning the aircraft in a forced ejection. Another problem of the domestic Chinese engine is its lack of FADEC, which is needed for having a same or better aircraft performance when compared with an aircraft with a Russian engine. However, the current WS-10 version available with FADEC is not reliable enough to be accepted into service, and currently all of the matured WS-10s lack FADEC.

When talking about any Chinese tech achievement, you always take it as from Russian or from Israel or steal from USA? However Chinese can not invent anything themselves. What Chinese can do is only copy or steal. This make you happy?
As a Chinese, I am not proud of J10. China has much more better thing to be proud of than J10.
Yes, China imports some tech from Russia. Actually, many Chinese object to that. You can imagine there are some corruption in the deal.

1. As the previous post said the US government and any governments which have diplomatic relation with China agree: Taiwan is part of China. Without this, no country can set diplomatic relation with China.
2. In western countries, the map shows taiwan and mainland China as two countries. However, in both taiwan and mainland China, the map show the island and the mainland as a unitied Country. Before 1970s, Taiwan Government never gave up plan of reunit mainland.

Taiwan has their own military, president, money, flag, congress, judicial courts systems, and our own democratic government. Taiwan is already an independent country. Nonsense! Taiwan is already an independent country. We have diplomatic ties with 24 countries around the world. However, communist china has been trying to diplomatically trying to isolate us, though
Taiwanese is NOT chinese. We have our own culture, language, history, fashion, etc. All differenct from china.
Never call a Taiwanese a chinese , it is the ultimate insult. Never call an irishman and Englishman. Same thing.
As for the US, the US has close diplomatic ties with Taiwan, in fact, the US is currently selling missles for the taiwan f16 jet fighters.

VinceLee, I have a question, is it not true that this Taiwanese nationalist movement is fairly recent? It was not long ago that teaching in Taiwanese was forbidden in national schools. However with each passing generation the people consider themselves more Taiwanese than Chinese. For example the older generation whats to (eventually peacefully) reunify but the youth thinks of themselves as independent and distinctly different from mainland China.

If they are so frequently used, why no pictures of them, why no evidence. Why is the only reports coming from American-Chinese ?

Beijing the actual housing plans were designed pre-1911. The houses which were destroyed were over 70 years old and had no road access simply because no cars were there when it was designed.

The Beijing residents were given homes in Beijing suburban areas which consist of house like apartments which provided electricity and running water which they did not have in their old houses.

It is good that China has again issued its Human Rights report on the United States. That report is available to every U.S. citizen, because the People's Daily posts the report.

The U.S. government does not block access to the People's Daily site, so anyone, including reporters, can read about human rights violations in the U.S.

Now, can the so-called communist leaders of China allow reports of human rights violations of China's government to be read in China and Tibet? This is a double standard by the government of China. The leaders of China will allow any Chinese citizen to criticize human rights in the U.S., but free speech about the human rights violations of China is forbidden.

Dear Chairman Hu Jintao, will you please end the prolific teaching of how to torture and the sale of torture equipment from China? If the Chinese government cannot end the sale of torture equipment, then China is a weak country.
