If welfare is taken away many of them will turn to crime. It is much cheaper to give them welfare than to keep them in jail.

Unfortunately, by the time they figure this out, the jails will be overflowing and many people will get hurt in the process.

Back anyone into a corner and take away their food and watch what happens. It isn't pretty.

You know, I hear tell there's alot of vacant land up in northern Canada. Chances are that's where the illegals will end up given time.

Guess they'll have to survive by eating whale blubber.

Peace

Awesome. ILLEGALS in california will head east to new mexico, and then from arizona will head west to new mexico, and boom we can drop a nuke on them. If my geography is correct. This is the perfect military strategy in my opinion.

Skynet online.

The Terminator is activated.

Guess he can't fight the riots this would cause though.

What Arnie is doing is just backing up Arizona, and we know Arizona is enforcing their laws, in regards to immigration, and California is doing it from a different stance.

The difference is Arizona is going after Illegal Immigrants, and California is going after anyone not rich enough to support Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Malibu.

Just take the video below and replace the word toomah with "problem".

It's not a Toomah!

But the simple reality is, welfare and some government services definitely need to go, the money is just not there to pay for it.

I have a question folks.

Is there some sort of plan going into effect?

The governors are starting to institute LAW.

The governors are starting to do SOMETHING.

What is it they are doing?

I understand your argument and I agree to a point (I do think there must be help for the genuinely disabled and the elderly), but reality is reality. We are talking about thousands of people dependent on the state of California for their livelihood. If you cut them off tomorrow they will not go out and find a job the next day. You will have rioting, crime and rampant homelessness. Everyone will suffer due to the action taken. The system has made people dependent upon it. For the sake of social order you can't just cut everyone off like that.

I want to thank everyone for all the great comments they have made.

The thought of linking this to the Arizonian law is a good idea. Also yes this could be a prelude to something even bigger. I however still think this whole idea is up in the air until it has all the signatures on it.

Would be a start.

The entitlement mindset of that state, with handouts and subsidies for every damn thing have left them bankrupt.

But by all means, keep dreaming up more social programs to piss money away on...

This is an extremely poor decision, the repercussions of which he can't imagine.

When is California going to elect a real politician instead of a pretty face?

This will never, never work. The Feds will have to step in on this one.
They can step in before and prevent it, or step in afterwards to do damage control with the National Guard. Take your pick.

eta: This is targeting the poor regardless of legal status. Want to save money? Hit on the poor. Why not? They have no power.

Because of this decision of Schwarzenegger's to end welfare

in California, Arizona should boycott California. This will help Arnold

out when it comes to illegals leaving his state more quickly because of

California's declining economy. ^Y^

These lazy useless welfare people that refuse to work were suddenly
allowed to start leaching off of the taxpayers. They can suddenly be cut
off. And I am not talking about the people who truly need assistance,
such as those with physical disabilities or the elderly or the mentally
challenged, etc. There are surely a lot of people who are in dire need
because of those various things, but the people that need to be cut off
real soon are those that refuse to work, have eaten theirselves into a four
hundred pound blob of couch grease, and want everyone to feel bad for
them while they ride around wally world in a battery powered scooter
because they are pathetic hogs.

The states could start cutting back on their checks little by little, until say,
six months later they will either have to find a job and actually have to
crawl their blobovia butts out of bed before noon, and they will have to
start worrying about their own lives instead of having everyone else
foot the bill for them.

I say good for arnold and get the show on the road, the way that the
gov of Arizona showed some ti1s and started the show that the feds
don't have the pistachios to do.

______________________________

I have said this in another thread, and I will repeat it here. If you know who these people are then REPORT THEM.

This is fraud. It is a crime. It is prosecuted. So, please gather identifying information and turn them in.

And if you CAN'T identify any person, then please stop claiming to have information you don't have. You claim this as a problem, and one you seem to know something about. So put your information to work.

Well lady, I don't know what country you live in, but I live in the US.
Have you been cooped up in the house for the last thirty years, or
do you have agoraphobia? Open your eyes and you will see what I am talking about. You know exactly what I am talking about and who I am referring to. Don't tell me you don't know about all this crap. You have
them in the town or city where you live and you know it. So quit acting
like it doesn't exist. Or are you one of them?

No, I'm not one of "them", sir. I am a woman with a profession, and I have been very blessed in the money-making department.

What I'm saying to you, is you are making a statement as though you know of people who are abusing the system. I am asking that if you are aware of fraudulent activities, please turn these people in.

If you are not personally aware of such situations, then please stop aggravating the circumstances of the impoverished, by repeated gossip.

Bout time! Guess the credit card wasn't unlimited after all. Every other state in America take heed this is your future.

As for opposition they can whine and riot all they want when the money runs out it runs out period. The US is toast for this same reason, this is just the first of the dominoes, democracy and the fiat currency system at its best.

Well, I am a professional also. You can't tell me this isn't going on all
across this nation. If you have seen it, and I know you have, do you go
through the hassle of reporting it? I could spend the remainder of my life
testifying in court because of this. I see it everywhere and know about it
from living in a town of 12,000. We all know who is lazy and who is not.
I too have better things to do besides calling the welfare number, or
whatever it is called.

All of this welfare and free handouts came about because we as
Americans let it happen. Lobbyists got it going in the first place, they
passed laws and here we are. Paying through the nose and we're stuck
with it. Maybe we do need to all get on the so called bandwagon and
start ratting out our neighbors like they are doing with the IRS nowadays.

Honestly, I am personally unaware of any of these fraud cases, although I am sure they exist. If I knew of any, I would definitely report them.
