Jack $h1t!
Just for the record - You say Mr. Palasts contributions to the world equal "jack $h1t!" I would argue that the following accolades put him a step above the "jack $h1t" category when it comes to contributions to this world. I think given the complete lack of investigative journalism in the US, his work is important in the scheme of things.
National Press Club's Arthur Rowse Award for Press Criticism (Book Category - First Place) - July 2003
Reporter of the Year. -Guerrilla News Network
Palast won Britains highest journalism honors for his 1998 undercover investigation of influence peddling within Tony Blairs cabinet by Enron and other US corporations. He then turned his sleuthing skills on to the Bush money trail: uncovering for BBC and The Observer the uncomfortable truths of how the Bush Administration quashed investigations of Saudi financing of terror
Palast, winner of the Financial Times David Thomas Prize and Nominated Business Journalist of the Year (UK) for his exposing Reverend Pat Robertsons legally dodgy business scams, has appeared in Salon.com (Politics Story of the Year 2000), Harpers and The Washington Post ... yet he remains to most Americans, The worlds greatest investigative reporter youve never heard of. (Cleveland Free Times)
And a winner of two project cencored awards for stories he broke which are still not covered in the US.
