You're right, because YOUR country (I'm assuming you're American, apologies if I'm wrong) has responded so well to terrorism, milling about in two different countries with no results, and letting the terrorists work their way into the same government and police force you've created. Your people are getting soft, and you've only had ONE attack on your soil! We've had a countless number, if you include snipers killing our soldiers, hostage-takings and kidnappins, and bombings, ALL by this same group!

We've tried it your way, stepping on egg-shells and trying to appease the "world police" by simply beefing up our occupying force. Now it's time we respond with full force: turn all the terrorists in, or your region will no longer exist.

Haha.. tremble in fear that your Russian Empire could one day collapse...

I'm not American but that's ok, I won't pretend to defend any countries responses to terrorism, I happen to think they are all bad.

Really believe me I know why you're pissed off and why you want a response like you outlined.

As you have stated it's being going on for 60 years. Ask your self how many time has Russia rolled that region. 2 or 3 times from what I can recollect. I'll make you a bet that if Russia goes in a levels the region yet again, within 2 to 3 years there will be more terrorist attacks.

I don't know what the answer is but what ever nations have been doing, it isn't working.

The world grows weary of islam. When they aren't blowing themselves up killing civilians, they are out killing, rioting, burning cars over a cartoon. Or because someone said something about mohammed.

And all the while, the rest of the members of this 'religion of peace' quietly look the other way when this # happens.

Eventually, the world is going to have it's fill of your nonsense and when it does, it's not going to be good...

Hmm maybe that's because the Islamic Chechens claimed repsonsibility perhaps. Listen - you're ignorant attitude is a little offensive to people who have suffered from genuine terror attacks. 9/11 wasn't the first ever terrorist attack you know.

The Uk suffered from IRA attacks in the 1970's/ 80's and 90's... Probably long before you were even born. Other countries have suffered from terrorism for even longer.

You didn't know that all IRA members were actually CIA plants charged with carrying out hundreds of false flag attacks to give conspiracy theorists something to do? The Irish/UK conflict was a cover, nothing more.

Get your history straight, listen to Alex Jones, he'll clue you into reality.

You do realize that all of these things is done by Islam fundamentalists and not by normal Muslims? Don't generalize...

I would rather say don't trust anybody but yourself. No one but you can clue you into reality... ok you can take hints from Alex, you can get clues from mass media, from ATS - but most importantly you must not loose yourself and blindly follow some guy that screams louder than anyone else. Check all information analyze it and you will get perfectly clear picture.

Read my second paragraph about "normal muslims".

Well they are people who don't give a crap for that stuff. It's in fact not their business. World is full of ignorant people who doesn't give crap, Muslims are people so most of Muslims doesn't give a crap.

There are 3 kind of people in any society
1) People who do crap
2) People who doesn't give a crap about 1st group doing crap - and just wants to live normal life.
3) People who are against 1st group and acts against.

I don't need to sketch up proportions, do I? Hint: Group 2 is not small.

Since everyone is discussing "russian despotic rule" I want you to have a look at these photothreads of the restoration of the capital of Chechnya. Somehow "western democracies" never do anything like this in their colonies (yes, Chechnya has been our colony for centuries):

So you are saying that it's ok to occupy countries and terrorize them if you build new houses for them in Capital city? How do we know that these houses are for Chechens? Maybe they are for Russians? I find it hard to believe that Anna Politkovskaya lied about everything in her book "Russia's Diaries". If she'd lied she wouldn't be put out by FSB.

Ok, ok... Still I am just being serious because I care about Russian politics. It's my overall attitude in my tread. I live in Latvia and as you know it was once occupied by USSR but we gained independence in 1991, so I feel a bond with Chechen people who wants to be independent and sovereign from Russia, but they haven't been so lucky as Baltic states, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and others. Cheers!

I feel their plight, I was just expressing my frustration with the people on ATS who think everytime something like this happens that it's actually a government plot to confuse people.

Oh, wtf am i reading. Does U.K. occupy Scotland? Does U.S. occupy Texas?
Does Canada occupy Quebec?

Ignorance is bliss. Just for you to know. Before the war Chechnya was one of the richest soviet republics and its capital, Grozny was called "The Venice of the south". And then the whole country collapsed. I don't want to write an essay here - there was just a choice between the war with the CIA-sponsored terrorists and the collapse of the country into a hundred nuclear chechnyas.

As to the houses - it's simple. There are practically no russians left there - they all fled, because of their peaceful chechen neighbours who cut their throats at night and hanged dead bodies on church crosses.

As for Politkovskaya, Litvinenko, etc - they are russian analogues of Alex Jones. The government had no reason to kill them whatsoever.

It makes me sick that a woman would do this. Its sick enough, but a woman who is capable of giving birth and nurturing a child...how can they kill innocent people? Our world is in serious serious trouble.

It is going to be real interesting to see how Russia responds to this. I suspect it will be fast and brutal which is exactly what it should be.

Russia is probably the only nation in the world other than possibly China that will save society from the islamic onslaught, and Russia may possibly end up being the world's only safe haven for Christians if this insanity keeps up.

Really? If we want a history lesson then none of us will listen to Alex Jones.

Have you ever watched his pre-9/11 material? Even before his Bohemian Grove infiltration? The guy is a self confessed ultra-conservative. Alex Jones is a fraud, controlled opposition.

In his early material, the Police State series and Destroyed by Design, he never mentions the New World Order or the illuminati. All he talked about was socialists turning American children gay and he was borderline xenophobic with his views on foreign investment in America. Alex Jones was just an egotistic version of worldnetdaily.

90% of the current material and subject matter on infowars was never mentioned before 9/11 or Bohemian Grove. Not even the Builderberg meetings.

He was even a candidate for the Republican party back in 2000.

What surprises me most is the US taking the side of the Chechens when they commit these acts of terror. (if this one was Chechens)

It's always sad and disheartening hearing things like this.

Why do people do this? Killing innocent people you don't know that pose no threat to you... it's so nonsensical and cowardly. Disgusting.

Angry and desperate people do crazy things, haven't you seen it in your streets?

One individual just outside my University was so angry that he lost it at an old man, pulled him out of the car, started punching him in the face.. Later on I found out in the news that the old man died in hospital.

People over there are pissed off, they have the right to be pissed off, and the worst thing is that they can't do anything to the people who they are pissed off with (example Russian Government, Army, Secret Service, puppet regimes etc etc).

Look for the core problem, through its effects. They teach that in every profession, even IT, Electronics, Networking, Medicine, Engineering, etc.. You can fix a problem either short term, or long term. Short term you can just relief the pain, for example pain killers (the Chechen rebels are the pain, and the troop is the pain killers, etc).

aaaah this is not worth it.. People are more stupid than they seem..

[edit on 29-3-2010 by oozyism]

No I understand that... I can only imagine going through what either side goes through in such conflicts. But still... killing innocent people always just seems fruitless. At the very least you could be killing somebody who's SYMPATHETIC to your cause. And attackers must put themselves in the shoes of civilians as well... people who have done nothing wrong still being in constant fear of random retaliation or stray bombs/bullets/attack. It's one of the ugliest things in our world that people perpetuate. I do see how people can become blinded, desperate, and enraged when they're victimized and feel powerless.

I'm not saying I support the Russian government... far from it, they're corrupt and guilty of their own war crimes and killing of innocent people (probably even more so than the Chechens). I'm just saying, those who engage in warfare/terrorism or anything of the sort need to find ways of not involving innocent people as acceptable collateral damage. A resistance movement is made MUCH MORE POWERFUL in the world's eye if they only engage dangerous/hostile targets/entities and NOT innocent bystanders or civilians. I mean that's one of the essential reasons why two forces fight each other... because one or both sides killed innocent people, thus revenge ensues. If you avoid giving the other side that reason to attack you then THEY look like the bad guys. Think of it as a half-assed version of Gandhian peaceful resistance, haha.
