Is this the video you wanted?

When on youtube all you want is the stuff after the = sign

e.g. part of the address in the url box .com/watch?v=LKT0vKI3W8Y

copy the LKT0vKI3W8Y push the youtube video button and paste

Sounds like a lot of my older rock I have not listened to for a LONG time. Some of the older Rush maybe a little War. I like what I have heard so far.

I have some drone stuff that was recorded on a children's karaoke microphone...

I wonder if there is still a market for such things.

Hey, not bad! I think I had heard Rise Against a few times before.

Check out these guys:

Couldn't find the track I wanted though.

Edit: obviously I don't know how Youtube works.

Yeah, thats it. The first track off that album is stellar. I want to direct a postmodern spaghetti western with that as the soundtrack.

How do you embed videos? What is this mysterious "youtube number"? Is there an afterlife?

You can't leave right when you were about the reveal the secret of the modern relevancy of experimental interpretations of popular music formats.

Here is a partial url out of the upper box-

copy this part LKT0vKI3W8Y and paste when the Please enter the YouTube video number. Comes up and voila.

Well, lets give it a whirl with that first track I mentioned:

Hopefully that did the trick.

Hey, thanks! What a good trick to know.

I think the guitarist with this band might have been the guy that gave Kurt Cobain the legendary shotgun, but I might have him confused with some other stoner metal dude.

Now when you have a longer url like

ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWb1ppSvSjY&feature=related

everything after the = and before the & gets pasted like

mWb1ppSvSjY

Now you got it!

I was musing on the thread title. If some organization decided to conduct a study of internet grumpiness levels, ATS would blow their measuring devices apart.

Oh I do not know, this place is kind of tame compared to even YouTube.

Now one other site I belong to is ALL about letting it all hang out. It is a site over in Japan that the only rule they have, is nothing but English. They get downright evil there.

You have to use a proxy to get there, no US access.

How intriguing, how did you come across it? Is it some online version of Fight Club?

I find grumpiness to be a very funny thing, especially when it is induced grumpiness. I've noticed that the best way to maximize grumpiness to put this album on in a crowded room:

It might be the single worst thing I've ever heard, hands down. Entire synth orchestras, propaganda, the works!

I came across it by a torrent file for a game. I could not get it to work properly and the only place that came up was a japanese labeled site. I ran it through the Babel Fish and just like here they had several other sites connected to it. One was for english only forum and game modding. The forums there got downright nasty.

I haven't been there for a couple of months since I got sick of the game. I am not much up on the modding. I was interested when I was still modding the Command and Conquer Zero Hour game I have. It was fun for a couple of months but learning that software will not help me any so I quit going to the site. A couple of the forums were more geared toward conversation but it got quite brutal.

I always loved Command and Conquer.

The weirdest I ever saw the internet get was when I decided to take a peak (without making my presence known) into the 4chan world and all the assorted boards that dwell down there. That subterranean underbelly reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

I quit the back area places after I had to wipe all my harddrives and all three of my computers. I got a virus that actually ruined my small hardrive that I originally had in the computer I am using right now. Somehow it screwed my boot sector and I was unable to run it at all. I decided to burn it because I did not want to risk connecting it to another comp and risk spreading it any further.

That was from the same site I was talking about. I think I got it from one of the packets for the modding software I was using. I no longer will do that. Luckily it was just a small 40 GB HDD.

I guess one lives and learns.

If you like Radiohead, take a listen to this version of Creep, performed by a homeless guy named Mustard on the Opie and Anthony radio show.

Warning: Adult Language

There are others by him on the Opie Radio youtube channel.
