It seems to me that Robert Gibbs should not be saying such things in his official capacity within the Obama administration. Robertson's comments were based in religion, and as we hear all the time, religion has no place in government, but that's supposed to be a two-way street. Apparently not.

Not that I'm in any way a fan of Pat Robertson, mind you.

Got any historical reference for the devil pact? I'm assuming that's what you mean when you say Robertson was very much correct.

If that's not what you meant, what was he very much correct about?

My hat is off to the nice man in the video, and Robertson will have to one day pay for whet he has done, on a much higher court than he can see at this point. Robertson sometimes seems delusional, and mind controlled to me. This reminds me of the late Lester Summerall, who also had an agenda based on nothing at all:
Demon Hit List (Are You on It?)

Here is some intelligence on Pat Robertson:

SHAME ON EVERY DAMN ONE OF YOU!!! An entire nation is DEVASTATED, TENS of THOUSANDS DEAD, thousands more still trapped in the rubble, and you Jackholes actually support what Robertson said??? This is exactly what is giving Christians and Christianity a bad name!!! This is what makes me fight against this BS religion with everything I've got!!! You say crap like this, then pat yourselves on the back and call yourselves Good Christians!!! Bull Hockey!!!

Only people like you could witness a natural tragedy like this one and find a way to blame the victims!!! If there is a Hell, I hope that there is a special place reserved for the likes of YOU! YOU MAKE ME SICK!!!

And I would like to say Well Done to the Obama Administration and to Robert Gibbs for recongnizing stupidity when they see it. I think Robertson got off light. There should have been a volley of four letter words sent his way, but that wouldn't be a politically smart move...

I'm pretty sure the fault in the earth that eventually caused this earthquake was there long before the Haitian's made a "pact" with Satan.

If there is a hell, and I hope there is, Pat Robertson will be there.

This made me laugh!! I can't say that I hope anyone goes to hell, and I certainly can't see how a short human life should condemn anyone to eternal suffering, but it still made me laugh!

And, kudos for a press secretary willing to say exactly what everyone in the room was thinking! OF COURSE it was a stupid comment by Robertson! The people affected by this tragedy are hurting and suffering and it is no time to place blame or further one's own agenda!

A rare
for Gibbs and the WhiteHouse, and
an all too common
for Robertson and all Evangelists that value their own opinion and popularity over real Spiritualism and Goodness!

Howdy Doody

The goal is to give christianity a bad name. Matter fact the name of the game is to give all 3 Abrahamic religions a bad name.

Let the battle begin...it is going to be a bumpy ride indeed.

I noticed that you do not display your location. You can't be from The United States of America can you? If so, then you should tremble at the Devil for planning on the same devastation here since this nation was founded by the slaughter of its Red folk by the white folk here now. Or do you want to retract that slur....

What difference does it make what 80 year old, feeble Pat Robertson said, or what the White House said? It's all just finger pointing and politicking. The country and the world needs to get together, get to work and do something down there quickly and effectively!
Put the politics aside and get serious. People are dying as we speak, people are sick, bodies piled high with nowhere to put them, cremate them or even burry them. Human waist everywhere, no water or food, humanity in the worst of conditions.

And the White House frets over old Pat Robertson!

A Feeble Economy Knocked Flat

Oh dear, there was me believing in the five years of you being at ATS that maybe one - just one - day, you'll drop the racialist attitude.

And before you yet again reply with "are you calling me a racist?" line, yes I am.

G'day superluminal

I assume you are refering to the "scalar weapons" & the like, that some people believe exist.

Is that correct?

If it is, then what do you mean when you say "they are on automatic response"?

If you don't mean "scalar weapons", what do you mean?

Kind regards

Thank you for starting this interesting thread, December Rain.

Robertson should have kept his mouth shut.

What a cruel time to say such a thing.

What is it someone said......."Some christians have a most unchristian-like attitude to life".....

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

This is good, ever since W left office the idiotic Christians in this nation have just kind of #ed off and kept their mouths shut. It's been a couple months since I've been reminded just how much I hate these people and just how out of reality they really are. Christianity is the greatest scheme of all time and Robertson out of saying something stupid and out hate probably just collected several million dollars from it. Why? Because you people are stupid and fearful and eat it up. I thank god for Christianity every day because it keeps the people on the bottom occupied and out of adult matters.

Edit: Also wasn't this the guy that said 9/11 happened because of the gays in this country or something like that? Why is this retard even given attention? Oh yeah... Christians are stupid.

Hi December_Rain,

Great thread, S & F

Pat Robertson, is a bigot, and a Zealot.
Gibbs should get a medal.

Obama did the right thing, and the entire world has a moral obligation to help the people of Haiti, and help rebuild.

To the racists and bigots here justifying or rationalizing Robertson's dribble.

Shame on you! How can you show face here and act like animals. This is not a fantasy many thousands of people are dead and dying.

You show what little character you have, I personally will remember every one of you, and I will remind you of this every chance I get.

There is no place for you among civilized people. If it was you, I'd be there digging you out, and so would the Haitians you revile.

Shame on you for calling yourselves Christians. I don't believe your dogma but according to your own scripture it is you who will burn in your imaginary hell for being evil, and petty.

Shame on you. Shame on you.

You make me ashamed to be lumped with you as an American, you are not Americans you are monsters.

Stop your ignorant rants and look in the mirror, you see that person looking back.

That is your enemy. You.

The nation is in the crapper and they have an excuse.
What is your excuse for your mind being in the crapper?

Every American should extol the virtues of a people that like, we did threw off the chains of tyranny. They are more worthy than most for not giving up, and sinking to your type of thinking.

Freedom is not free, some pay a higher price, like Haiti. You know nothing, and add nothing, you only take, and injure.

In the real world people have compassion. What do you have? Anger, hatred, fear? What can drive a person to loose all sense of reason and act this way.

Where do you people get brain washed?

Don't act so shocked when people write off your theories as insane. It's you that paints them, and yourselves, with that brush.
