Nun Claims Sex is Rife Within Catholic Church, page 1

The book by the former nun reveals how as a young novice she was propositioned in the confession box by a priest who cited biblical references to "divine kisses". Later she was cornered by a lesbian nun at a college where they were teaching. "She would come to my bed in the night and do lewd acts and I could not stop her," she claims.

When she was sent to Bangalore to stay with a priest known for his piety, he lectured her about the need for "physical love" and later assaulted her. "Back in his room, he tried to fondle me and when I resisted, got up and asked angrily if I had seen a man. When I said no, he stripped himself, ejaculated and forced me to strip," she writes.

According to Sister Jesme, senior church officials twice tried to admit her into rehabilitation clinics and claimed she had mental problems after she complained about the scale of sexual abuse and the number of illicit affairs between nuns and priests.

This is the sort of thing that lifelong forced celibacy breeds, among other heinous acts; child rape and torture come to mind.
I've heard about this sort of thing before, priests forcing themselves upon nuns, knowing that they won't speak out, out of shame. And if they do manage to gather to courage to do so, well then they're clearly mentally unstable and need to be sent in for reprogramming and reeducation. It makes me sick.

It makes you wonder how much longer the Catholic Church can possibly last, not being able to go for a day without a brand new scandal involving rape, torture, blackmail or extortion. How much longer can some people convince themselves, "oh it's only a few bad ones and there's bad people everywhere"?

I was raised in strict catholic terms and I remember as a child being told by a priest that masturbators would burn in hellfire and that white hot worms would chew on the “nether regions” of all masturbators.

It would seem that to be celibate is for god but apparently against nature and being celibate for so long is not only bad for the soul but is literally bad for the body too.

I find it no surprise to read the OP and to find that there is a high rate of deviant sexual practices within the Catholic Church and also a higher than average risk of prostate cancer within those who do manage to control their sexual urges.

I totally agree with the OP.

It is not natural to have celibacy forced upon people ... if it is their own choice that is different.

I've always thought that forced celibacy goes against the will God because it's unatural.

In all honesty I can't believe anyone would be surprised by a headline like this ... it is a repeating pattern amongst the headlines relative to the Catholic Church ... surely this must tell them something !

There is NOTHING christian about the vatican. Catholicism is just another extension of the babylonian mystery religion full of blood and idolatory. Their priests were celibate, had to confess their "sins" in a confessional, prayed for the dead, prayed to a "divine" mother (semiramus), wore the same robes and head dress and the list goes on.. It is soooo far away from true christianity as you can get which is why it is called the "Great whore, who is drunk with the blood of the saints."
G-d never required us to be celibate, and IT IS NOT G-DS WILL THAT KIDS BE ABUSED!! If it was i would turn my back on Him, but its NOT, and there is a very special place in hell for those perverted bastards

Since many members of ATS like to spend part (a large part?) of their pastime criticizing the Catholic church and blaming it for most of the world's ills - or in this thread all of the world's sexually abused children - I thought that a little 'reality' might be in order.

THIS keeps track of all the Jewish clergy (Rabbi's) that are tied to child sexual abuse cases.

THIS website keeps track of ministers from all Protestant denominations that are tied to child sexual abuse cases.

AND

THIS article talking about Jehovah's Witnesses and their problems with child sexual abuse.

Notice how the above 3 links have nothing to do with Catholicism - or more importantly show that child sexual abuse isn't confined to one religion or Christian denomination.

Child sexual abuse took place before the Catholic church and, unfortunately, will probably take place after the Catholic church is gone (or greatly reduced).

Child sexual abuse also takes place away from religious organizations - notice the prevalence of online child pornography and the resulting accusations and arrests.

There are also the stories, from Asia and Africa, of marriages with under age girls that make it into the MSM once in a while - and I'm confident that it happens a lot more than reported.

And the stories of grown men kidnapping and raping underage girls, and having children with them - US and Germany are examples of countries where this has recently taken place.

After Thought: I wasn't even aware of the proliferation of sexual abuse within Judaism until I looked into sexual abuse and how it relates to non-Catholic religious organizations. And, in the spirit of conspiracies, I think that it helps support the idea/argument of a Jewish controlled and manipulated media (unfortunately).

I guess there is no rape, "torture", sodomy going on in any other religion.

See, the advantage you have is you blame a RELIGION for the faults of a person. Deviants do not devalue a religion.

Just as you would defend a gay child molester against the claim that ALL gays are child molesters, I would defend a 2,000 year old religion, the one started by Jesus, that PEOPLE are flawed, not the religion and they NEED that same religion to save them from themselves.
