Official document drawn up by Airport Command about the Carlos Montiel UFO incident in which three 'domed discs' flew alongside a private aircraft over Lake Tequesquitengo in Mexico, May 3rd, 1975:

UFOs 'Escort' Mexican Aircraft - Radar Confirmed/

Police report describing incident where officers witnessed (and shot at) an unidentified flying object near the port of Tocopilla in the Antofagasta region of Chile on September 23rd/24th, 1971.

The object was witnessed by over a dozen people and, after exhibiting EM effects on a police patrol car, circled around a ship in the harbour before submerging into the ocean.

Police Report:

“It was possible to confirm that at more or less 2 km. [1.24 miles] from the coast, such artifact remained totally lit, changing places at great speed…later on it came close to the beach of Caleta Buena…. At a distance of 150 meters [492 feet], it could be seen that the object had an approximate diameter of 20 meters [66 feet], with a helicopter-like cabin totally lit and with sections like windows. It was approximately 30 meters [98 feet] above the sea level, being impossible to identify its origin.”

Reality of UFO Phenomenon

UFOs are not fun and games, they are not delusions. They are real. The phenomenon has involved real technology, doing real things that are not supposed to be possible. This technology, since at least World War Two, has engaged in a confrontational and provocative manner with U.S. military forces on many occasions. It has involved both air space violations and alarmed responses, and has elicited the concern of some of the highest ranking military and intelligence officers in the country..

We have, for instance, a document from Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico from January 31, 1949, directed to the USAF Chief of Staff. There was a flurry of UFO activity going on in New Mexico at this time. The document in question described yet another of these sightings from the previous day, seen by about 30 people. The document states:

"Estimate at least 100 total sightings. AEC, AFSWP, 4th Army, local commanders perturbed by implications of phenomena.... All appear to be same object at different points in trajectory. Unless instructed to contrary this office will make all out investigation with view to location of impact point if any."

All those agencies "perturbed by implications of phenomena." Yes, indeed. I would be perturbed, too..

The documents state that an unidentified flying object (UFO) was tracked by US radars at Montauk, NY, and Benton, PA. It was flying on a relatively straight course from the eastern tip of Long Island to the vicinity of Buffalo.
The object was reportedly moving westward at an altitude of 50,000 feet and speed of 2,000 knots, varying from 1,500 mph to 4,500 mph. "Jamming" was reported by several radars in this vicinity and westward as far as Chicago.

Thank you so very much for posting these documents! This is the best compilation of government documents I have found anywhere so far. Thank you for the time and effort put in to this thread! I believe something with happen soon enough to force government disclosure on the subject. Be it done by a bored teenage hacker who stumbles upon and publicizes the real reason for such a cover up, or by another, bigger, Pheonix Lights episode. It'll happen soon enough I think. There are far too many cameras and individuals with lighting fast uploading capabilities now. Something will give, I have faith in that! Very nice thread and thank you again!

Some interesting reading about Italian UFO documents whilst the country was under the rule of Benito Mussolini:

The discovery of some documents from the fascist era of Italy opens up new horizons for research on UFOs, and compels students of this subject to amend the official history of the flying saucers. Under "Il Duce", Mussolini, there was a secret government commission of enquiry, known as the RS/33 cabinet, which studied the UFOs.

In this letter an order has been given to the authorities to recover a landed flying object of unkonw origin and to put under arrest all the witness (task assigned to gabinetto r33)

Mussolini formed a top secret UFO agency to investigate Triangle UFOs --> in 1933!

JamesV15, thanks for the post mate and I'd say the John Greenewald Junior presentation in the first post of this thread certainly does a good job of showing that the U.S. Government's claim that 'no government agency has ever taken an interest in UFOs since the closure of Project Bluebook' are false (he basically shows the contents of the USAF fact sheet are untrue just by citing the U.S. Government's own documents).

Also thought there were some excellent points made about how different departments within the government don't collaborate and completely contradict each other and liked the part of the presentation where NORAD (who are completely exempt from the FOIA) informed him 'in good faith' that they did not collect and collate miltary/civilian CIRVIS pilot UFO reports only for him to prove them wrong by going through the channels of Canada's Access Of Information Act and presenting them with their own documents.

Here's another interesting doco involving FAA radar data and a UFO witnessed by Police Officer Robert Dickerson on September 24th,1959.
