My question is....where was all this scorn when George Bush was sending our boys off to die? How about when a few trillion of OUR dollars went missing? Where were the guns at the town halls after G.W. took our tax dollars and gave it to the banks because the banks failed because of shoddy practices? How about when we found out how much of our tax dollars went straight to bonuses and trips?

I answered your question and so have many others. Where were you during the last administration when 8 years of "scorn" (actually much worse) was piled on the president?

Everyone on here just seems to want to bash me or bash Obama. The point is being missed completely. I never even said I was an Obama supporter. I am an America supporter. I am a democracy supporter. Whether I like who is president or not, I still love the country that I live in and understand that this is the way it works.

If true that you are democracy supporter, then you would be bashing obama as well for doing everything in his power to destroy the democracy you say you support.

I also understand that if I am unhappy with how things are going, I can protest, I can speak out, I can write freakin blog full of lies if I so choose. I understand that I can lobby and pettition and so on.

Perhaps, but for how much longer? There's a bill sponsored by the dems that will make it a crime to say something "not nice" about anyone over the internet. Your freedom to do any kind of protest will be gone if they pass it.

What I do not understand is why people need to bring guns to see the president. The WHITE guy, not the black guy. Why does anyone need to hold a sign implying it is time to assasinate the president? Why does anyone have to call themselves a pastor and then ask their congregation to pray for his death? I would have said the same for Bush if things were this bad AND I was on ATS at the time. I do not remember anyone making a point to show they brought their gun to visit the president.

Guns? To show that obama and the dems have not yet taken away the 2nd amendment. As for the other questions, anyone ever suggest killing Bush? Yes, even here on ATS. You want to talk about pastors, what about obama's?

Sounds like you may still have much to learn ...

My post was suggesting people to not vote D or R, anymore. These are the problem. The network can be exposed and dismantled, but not while the architects of the network remain in power.

My post is showing how Clinton, Bush and Obama are setting this country and perhaps the rest of the world up for a major FAMINE! They sold us out to the Ag Cartel.

Do you understand?? Once it is illegal to grow your own food, once the multinational corporations own all the farm land and fence it in with double fencing per WTO "guide to good farming practices" WE as a nation are headed for FAMINE!!

You do understand the word means dying because you have NO FOOD!

The bill has passed the house and is headed for a vote in the Senate. yupfarming.blogspot.com...

If it passes vote third party and perhaps we can get it repealed before it does too much damage.

Maybe I do have much to learn but I can read. The point has been made over and over and over - this is not about scorn, this is about the threat of violence.

The ass in particular was not demonstrating in favor of the 2nd ammendment. You are just casting him in the light you wish to. No one has been able to answer why, when going to see the prez, you make a sign like that and then strap on a gun. 'Because' you can is still not an answer, no matter how you word it.

What people showed up at a Bush rally displaying weapons and had a sign advocating his death?

Yes, let's talk about pastors. When did Obama's pastor ask his congregation to pray for Bush's death?

You have just completely BS'd your way through that post but unfortunately, I am a little smarter than that.

It's more difficult to get a conceal carry permit.

It doesn't MATTER!

Concealed, and you don't know where to look, or some open person who has it strapped on for all the world to see.

It's LEGAL, and it's a RIGHT!

No WHY!

Since this is a RIGHT, we don't have to explain diddly squat to you?

Who made you protest etiquette cop?

LOL. Over and over again, you repeat - "because we can." The rest of your answers are rambling nonsense but I am glad you are having a good time.

If all you have to offer is "because it is a right" then you need to get out of the discussion. Who made me etiquette cop? Who did I arrest?

I can smell it in the air like you smell the rain before a storm.

And again, the point is missed. No one was complaining about dissidence. This is also not at all about armed revolution because that genius was not revolting was he? All he was doing was hoping someone would take his cue and off the president. Where did the founding fathers include assasination as a proper form of dissidence?

This is a democracy and we vote for a new president every four years. You will all get another chance in 2012. You can vote for some other evil conniving liar. The issue is that he is a socialist. He surrounds himself with socialist....its doesn't take rocket science to figure it out....just common sense.

Aside from the fact that this is just your opinion and not actually supported by the facts....is this a reason to grab your weapons and preach for his death?

In America we vote for a whole new government every 2 years. If you dont like him, fill up both houses with Republicans next year and render him powerless. Vote for a republican or 3rd party president in 2012. Until then, I do not understand why we cannot keep it to civil displays of dissaproval. Protest, write letters, whatever.

To take a loaded weapon and a sign preaching death to see the president is going a little far and this birth certificate nonsense is old. Bush was never elected and he got away without so much furor. Obama was actually elected and there is more to do about his eligability?

You are all so partisan that you are missing the point.

If you do not like him, vote him out. If you do not like his policies, voice that.

There is no need to take weapons and encourage assasination. Can you justify that? This is still the United States. If you want to live in a country where you kill the president that was rightfully elected because you do not like him, I suggest you go elsewhere. That is not how things are done here.

Why don't you people get it?

Whine, yell, speak out however you like. Get over the BC and stop taking guns and signs about murder to see him.

Not one of you seems to see the difference and worse yet, you compare it to how Bush was treated as if that makes it ok. Bush is not president and I was not on ATS then. This is now. Try looking forward a little. We get to vote and we get to voice dissent.

What place does violence have in any of this? I thought we were better than the thugs in the countries we are attacking. I guess not.

So, what is the point of your posts - exactly?

You started out by telling everyone to get over obama being elected, and many of us responded to that telling you why we can't and won't.

Then you you've attempted to make it about some guy you claim was advocating killing obama, and that no one ever said anything like that about Bush. All of that is false. If you don't remember this happening to Bush, do your own research. I'm quite confident that you will find way more than just one guy.

Last, you've decided to sink to the level of calling another member that simply doesn't agree with you "stupid" - a T&C violation.
With more maturity, perhaps you'll be able to debate issues without "going there" in the future.

He is not a socialist, that is just your opinion. Can you back it up with anything? No.

Now, can you explain to me why, even if he were, that warrants people advocating assasination?

All of you arguing against me keep missing the point. Stop talking about Bush and stap Bashing Obama. Just explain to me why anyone should be openly displaying a lethal weapon and carrying a sign that advocates assasination?

Protest, yell, cry, whine all you want. I hope anyone and everyone with an opinion finds a venue in which to voice it. I also hope the intended target hears you.

Just explain to me why you need to encourage the murder of the president in order to do so. This is America and the president is the president. He was voted in and rightfully elected. If you do not like that, fine. This is America. There are things you can do. Encouraging his murder is not one of those. If anyone can justify that, then this thread is pointless. If you all just want to continue missing the point and crying "because we can" and all that other BS, then this will just go on and I will keep getting points and stars while you all waist your time typing about anything and everything except what this thread is actually about. Up to you. I do not mind all the points at all.

Re-read the OP and any of my subsequent posts or Lillydale's. I guess I get my posts removed if I am honest and point out the truth so I will try to be as tactful as I can here.

I never said to just accept it and sit down and shut up. I was and am specifically talking about this nonsense over his birthplace and carrying guns to his meetings and carrying signs that openly encourage murder and preaching for a congregation to pray for his death.

Did you miss all of that? When did I say you need to shut up about it? When did I say you should just like it? Protest all you like, just leave your gun at home or keep it concealed and stop carrying signs that ask for blood to be spilled. Is it getting anyone anywhere?

Voting, organized protests, petittions, a platform from which to be heard - these things are what make America great. These are all options you have.

There is no need to be out pushing for people to kill the president. That is an entirely different level of wrong. It is not America. We do not kill the politicians we dislike. It just does not work that way here. I am typing as slowly as I can, I do hope you understand this time.

Then you you've attempted to make it about some guy you claim was advocating killing obama, and that no one ever said anything like that about Bush. All of that is false. Feel free to show me these guys. Where are the people that went to Bush's speeches with guns and signs asking for his blood to be spilled?????????

That is just a blatant lie and you know it. That is the same 9/11 copout - "I cannot really back up what I am saying but I want to make a point that counters your point so I will just tell you to look it up yourself."

I looked. No one ever went to see Bush openly displaying a gun or carrying a sign asking people to kill him.

Last, you've decided to sink to the level of calling another member that simply doesn't agree with you "stupid" - a T&C violation.

Look, I never called the poster stupid, I called the post stupid. It is and was just plain ignorant, lacking logic, shying from the truth - stupid. I hate to sink to that level too but I had to call it like I saw it. Tell me what is so intelligent about nonsense and BS.

I will be eagerly awaiting all your wonderful rebuttals.

Still, you won't believe that so no point bothering really.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The man could have said that Obama shoots rainbows out of his eyes and burn an American flag at the same time while dancing to dixieland and been within his rights.

You also have the right to call the man crazy. You do not have the right to stop him.

...If you dont like him...

Your ignorance astounds me sir. Both parties are in it for the same reason. Power. It's like wrestling, arch enemies on screen yet buddies in the back. Or did Karen Bass (D) California, call me a terrorist for threatening recalls of (R)'s for increasing my tax? Aren't they mortal partisan enemies? How did that 100:1 ratio against the bailout bill go again?

Wake up already. A dog always returns to his vomit. Both parties are together for the power, and really are THE Federalist Party (singular).

Bush was never elected and he got away without so much furor. Obama ..?

Bush was confirmed via the electoral college. That decides our presidency, not popular vote. Ask Andrew Jackson, Samuel Tilden, and Grover Cleveland how that popular vote worked out for them. Obama however, has refused to give his birth certificate to confirm his eligibility via Section 1 Article 2 of the Constitution as a "Natural Born Citizen".

One is constitutional, the other is not. Your ignorance of our nation and the Constitution is mind boggling. Go read it fully, not just the BoR.

You are all so partisan that you are missing the point.

ROFL. Hard to call me partisan when I consider both parties the Federalist Party.

If you do not like him, vote him out.

TJ quote guy wearing the gun did so, yet it's not what you expected. Heaven forbid he did not conform to your "vision" of free speech and your "vision" of a nation without the 2nd amendment. Instead he followed what the Constitution says about it. Does the 1st and 2nd only apply to your "Vision?". Apparently so. Hypocrite.

There is no need to take weapons and encourage assasination. Can you justify that? This is still the United States.

It's his right to do so sir. Constitution > You and your opinions. Deal with it.

Why don't you people get it?

Excuse me. Why don't YOU get it? You go ranting and raving on how a founding father and former president should not be quoted on a sign, and that guns should not be present at an event, yet try to hide behind the Constitution that protects just that at the same time?

Here's a little hint sir, Obama and no one in government is above the Constitution. Those people used their 1st and 2nd amendment rights whither you like it or not. If a quote from the 3rd president is scary for you, then the 44th and 110th congress is doing something wrong.

Would you condemn Jefferson today if he was alive today and was the person who was carrying that sign? My guess would be yes. Yet you hide behind his ideas like a little child scared of the world and take pop shots at those who dare cross 'your line'.

I know you'll find it a little hard to believe people are actually USING their rights, instead of what YOU think their rights should be. That is why we have the Constitution, to protect us from people like you.

If you don't like it, then get off my lawn and go to the other numerous countries around that would ban such display with force. I can most assuredly say I will not miss you, nor the threat to my rights and liberties your "vision" of our nation holds.

It is a representative constitutional republic. Yeah, it is not a democracy but it uses a great deal of democratic procedures and it is easier to type.

The constitution is in the trash but not because Obama won. This is the first time in a decade that the president is the person most people voted for.

That is what I am happy for. If McCaine won, and people were taking guns to visit him and carrying stupid signs about spilling blood and doing everything they could to prove he was really panamanian - I would be saying the exact same things.

More people voted for him and he is president. That is it. If people do not like it, they can protest, lobby, write letters, start an ad campaign, whatever. In 4 years they can try to swing the pendulum back their way and that makes me happy too. Just in case most people chose the wrong guy, we get to start again every 4 years and I love that.

I just do not understand all this extreme hatred of voicing wishes of death upon him and showing up making yourself look like a threat to his life. That crap is what I would expect in a third world country, not our sophisticated United States of America. Are you all proud of resorting to animal behavor of death threats and russian lies? Is that what America is? If so then maybe I do not want to be here all that badly anymore.

You all tell me, is that the way we have socially evolved? The man who is president is not the one we want so instead of following all the appropriate channels set up just in case the people hate the president - you try to make him feel threatened and ask your congregation to help make him dead? Everyone that is proud to act like that, please raise your hand.

Guilt by association? That is your proof? He is not a socialist and has not advocated any more socialist ideas than any other president and far less than some. Everyone in his life could be leprachauns, I could care less. Prove that he is a socialist and stop worrying so much about who his friends are.

I do not think you know what socialism is. I think you listen to Beck and watch Faux news. You keep hearing this and they even offer you valid examples. The problem is you apparently forget easily, do not know any history, or are purposely blinding yourself to it.
