Mr. Obama is a socialist.

Taking over GM.
Taking over Banks.
Trying to take over Health Care.
Redistribution of Wealth.

In fact what has Mr. Obama done, or plans to do, that is not Socialism?

This is a constitutional republic, not a democracy.

And this government has taken the constitution and thrown it in the trash.

It is a representative constitutional republic. Yeah, it is not a democracy but it uses a great deal of democratic procedures and it is easier to type.

The constitution is in the trash but not because Obama won. This is the first time in a decade that the president is the person most people voted for........

Nice job KJG. I respect the way you are defending this thread. In a nutshell, the title says it all. Obama won, get over it.

People will resort to anything to not accept that simple fact, resorting to semantics or history lessons regarding the Constitution.

I respect the Constitution and the keen insight of our forefathers, it was a document describing the doctrine of supreme insight, intellect and ideology. However times do change and we all adapt. That is why there have been amendments along the way since we can't be stuck in the past.

I often present this little image for the benefit of those who cling to the Constitution or their personal interpretation of it. I ask if they'd like their next surgery performed with the technology that was state-of-the-art in that era.

Root canal anyone?

I am so proud to be alive in a nation that chose Mr. Obama as our President. I savor each day enriched by the knowledge of the sea change at hand. We live in interesting and exciting times.

Once again, nice job OP.

All of you arguing against me keep missing the point. Stop talking about Bush and stop Bashing Obama. Just explain to me why anyone should be openly displaying a lethal weapon and carrying a sign that advocates asassination?

I do not advocate violence, I want to vote them ALL out but here is the answer to your question:

Right now we have a situation where Washington refuses to listen to the people and to honor the Constitution.

1. President Obama promised he was not going after our Second Amendment rights. Yet right out of the starting gate he attacks our right to bare arms. We have a bill HR 45 introduced into the House. It is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. As well as Senate bill number, SB-2099

2. You have people with Ron Paul, Bob Barr and other bumper stickers as well as all ex military, secret service and FBI and CIA place on the "home grown terrorist" lists yet Islamberg NY, a foreign run military training camp for ex-cons is left alone. We have the Government setting up a system to screen our internet traffic and a new law that gags freedom of speech

3. You have the bailouts where our tax money went to pay big bonuses to banking executives and we do not know where the rest is and Congress so far refuses to ask. The money supply was doubled within the first three months of Obama's Administration. This means everyones paycheck just got cut in 1/2 or more as soon as the money makes its way into circulation. Actually after fractional banking finishes with the increased in the money supply a the new dollar will be lucky to be worth a 2008 dime that is a 90% Silent Tax. The financial mess is so bad that we as a nation are tittering on the edge of bankruptcy Paul Craig Roberts who was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury stated "I am amazed that the US government, in the midst of the worst financial crises ever, is content for short-selling to drive down the asset prices that the government is trying to support.... The bald fact is that the combination of ignorance, negligence, and ideology that permitted the crisis to happen still prevails and is blocking any remedy. Either the people in power in Washington and the financial community are total dimwits or they are manipulating an opportunity to redistribute wealth from taxpayers, equity owners and pension funds to the financial sector.

4. I already mention the fact that the anti farming bills are setting the US and the rest of the world up for famine

On top of this we as citizens have the right of redress of grievances but Obama is spending millions to block any attempt to determine if he is a Usurper or a qualified President.

So what would our founding fathers think of the present situation?

Famous Thomas Jefferson Quote
Source: November 13, 1787, letter to William S. Smith, quoted in Padover's Jefferson On Democracy, ed., 1939

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

Samuel Adams on Tyranny

“"The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation – enlightened as it is – if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of designing men." -

Benjamin Franklin on Tyranny

Rebellion against tyrants is obedience to God. Benjamin Franklin

"The jaws of power are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched out, if possible, to destroy the freedom of thinking, speaking, and writing." John Adams,

Congress and the Judiciary refuse to acknowledge the people's rightful questioning of Obama's eligilability.,This shows an ominous consolidation of power opposed to the will of the people, the following are appropriate

George Washington on consolidation of power

"The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power, and proneness to abuse it, which predominates in the human heart is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position."

James Madison on consolidation of power

"The accumulation of all powers legislative, executive and judiciary in the same hands, whether of one, a few or many, and whether hereditary, self appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny."

Obama's is fricking lucky Jefferson, John & Sam Adams, Washington, Madison and Franklin are not around. The Tea Parties and Town Hall meeting are a warning to Washington that the President and Congress work for the people and not for the lobbyists they are taking bribes from. The guns and signs are an escallation of that warning because Congress and Obama has tried to marginalize the first warning. Actually compared to the RIOTS in England the US citizens have been down right well behaved and polite!

However, you go on to quote Franklin, Adams and Jefferson all suggesting violent revolt, rebellion and revolution. Hypocrite much?

But the classic is........

President Obama promised he was not going after our Second Amendment rights. Yet right out of the starting gate he attacks our right to bare arms.

Seems everyone was all bent out of shape when Michelle bared hers.
No 2nd Amendment Rights were revised or altered that I'm aware of. There have been no changes to 2nd Amendment. Period.

As for the balance of your "Call to Arms" tirade, perhaps there are some Civil War Re-enactments you could participate in.

Nice try but I'm afraid no Pulitzer.

The question was asked as to WHY someone would wear a gun and carry a sign. My business takes me into the public week after week and because I have had discussions with thousands of people over the last ten years, I have a wee bit of understanding of what people are thinking and if the average Joe in the street is paying attention to what is happening in Washington DC. I have talked to everyone from the extreme right to the extreme left.

The fact I have been asking questions means I can understand why someone would wear a gun and carry a sign. This does not mean I agree with them. My plans are to help make sure all the corrupt Congessmen get voted out of office, not to wave some stupid sign around.

YES, I quoted those who founded this nation. DID the founders of this nation advocate violence? YES, they started a fricken revolution for GD sake! They advocated violence against those who would stiffle their freedom. But in their wisdom they provided a way, WITHOUT violence, for the citizens to prevent those who govern from promoting tyranny. They WROTE the First and Second Amendments that grant us the right of free speech, the right to redress grievances, the right of public assembly, and the right to bare arms.

Now some idiot writes that just because those in Washington were elected, the citizens of the USA should sit down and shut up like good little sheeple. After all the vocal left had won so now no one should have any problems or voice any opinions. People should not get angry when the government controlled media calls them extremists, kooks or paided shills.. Voters should go to town hall meetings to silently receive the wisdom from on high and not voice their opinions.

Which do you prefer a citizenship that is vocal and tells the ones in power to mind their step or a full blown revolution or riots with people killed and property damaged as happen in England and France? I would rather see EVERYONE carrying a gun to town hall meetings and a million death threats a day than the types of riots going on in other countries.

What change is that? I keep hearing about this change but so far it's just more of the same old, same old.

Was the change your speaking of expanding the war?

Is it the change to start giving taxpayers money to private corporations in order to continue their shoddy business practices and bleed us dry?

Is this change your speaking of the acceptance of letting a president who promised no lobbyists/special interests tell a complete bold faced lie without repercussions?

I guess this change must be presidents who are constitutional lawyers supporting unconstitutional laws like the PATRIOT Act and the FISA Act.

I guess that's CHANGE we can all HOPE for.

Edit to add: Do you guys not even realize that you sound EXACTLY like the Bushies of the prior 8 years?
