Well my friend, perhaps you should listen to what other high ranking ex Russian military and KGB personnel were saying back in 1984, that the Kremlin was planning a staged coup in which they would make it look like Communism died in Russia.

I wonder how Russian ex military defectors could have predicted this to the letter.

Then there would be a joint drive by the Soviet bloc and a socialist Europe to push the US out of Europe and into nuclear disarmament. A powerful world federation of communist states would emerge and the US would be induced to "converge" on communist terms.

The primary evidence comes in the form of a new manual for history teachers in the country's schools, which says Stalin acted "entirely rationally".

"[The initiative] came from the very top," says the editor of the manual, historian Alexander Danilov.

"I believe it was the idea of former president, now prime minister, Vladimir Putin.

"It fits completely with the political course we have had for the last eight years, which is dedicated to the unity of society."

"It's a huge blow to our organisation," says Irina Flige, the office director.

"This was 20 years' work. We'd been making a universally accessible database with hundreds of thousands of names.

"Maybe this was a warning to scare us?"

Irina Flige believes they were targeted because they are now on the wrong side of a new ideological divide.

New nationalism

The new ideology is Putinism which, she says, has evolved over the past two years and is based on a strident form of nationalism.

It seems Russians are to be proud of their history, not ashamed, and so those investigating and cataloguing the atrocities of the past are no longer welcome.

"The official line now is that Stalin and the Soviet regime were successful in creating a great country," says Irina Flige.

"And if the terror of Stalin is justified, then the government today can do what it wants to achieve its aims."

The outrage at what has happened to the Memorial archive spreads beyond Russia's borders.

great video. thanks for posting. need to show it to my friends who've i've been debating that the USSR did win the cold war it is starting to look like now.

i wrote a pagelong first post that said how i felt, and i wrote it in my uncles garage that i had to claw my way to get to. oh well, maybe i wasnt meant to post my knowledge.

If you read my post you'll see I wasn't just talking about schools that teach kids about religious nonsense. Because in general, schools are brainwashing centers for indoctrinating young youth into a twisted, materialistic society built around having more and more stuff you don't really need. And that goes for pretty much all of them.

Duh. This crap is not about stopping the break up of a nation. This is about initiating it.

Besides, they didn't need this as their citizens were already controlled. Their demise was brought upon by outright bankruptcy and not a manipulated crisis so your post was all non-sequitur.

I would agree that we are at the level of crisis. Just look where our economy is. it almost seems we are blind to the fact that tons of americans have no jobs, no health insurance, and no one seems to question how we can survive as a country when very few Americans are making decent money and most of the rest are living off food stamps and unemployment

What exactly do you have inside information about? You're post was pretty vague (kinda looked like that's how you intended it to be) and if you really do have inside information on something please share as much as you can (with enough proof to validate your claims)

I think everyone here would really appreciate your info if it is legit.
