No matter if the plane flew the same route or not. The result is the same. Anyway the F-117 is not a good plane. The B-2 is a good one, but the B-2 is a death machine. It's a bomber, not fighter. Tell me how many women, childern, elders, the B-2 kill ? So I cant like the B-2.

Uhh you have seen pics of the YF-12, right?

There are a few things that stick out like the nose, ventral fins, etc.

I think that adding that radar made it look stranger than it already did.

Not like the one that the YF-12 had. Remember the YF-12 was designed to be an interceptor and needed the radar to pick up contacts at long range.

The F-117 has always been a strike fighter, not a multirole one. It was never intended for interception or air to air combat. It was a bomber given F designation so fighter pilots wouldn't be p*d off about being transfered to a bomber squadron. The Nighthawk is really a pure bomber, not a fighter.

BTW; Rafale looks rather like a Typhoon anyway. F-22 & Typhoon are the most advanced fighters today, and would probably beat the Rafale in air to air combat.

The yf-12a was not a stealth plane. It was a 2000mph interceptor withlong range Falcon air to air missiles housed in internal bays. It had a 2nd person inside, a wepons systems operator, as opposed to the single seat reconnaisance Sr-71. The YF-12a had radar to pivck up targets up to 300 miles away, wheras the SR-71 was for photo reconnaisance. This is why it has the extra sticky out bits.

I'd take an SU-30 with TVC anyday over that frenchie plane(not that frenchies are bad, but ruskies make better planes)

I think all this arguing about which plane is better is pretty silly. By only looking at there stats, it's not going to tell you which jet is really better. The only way we'll really find out is if they go into combat with eachother.
