Hard to comprehend the mind that isn't your own isn't it?

Not really. People usually think they are much smarter than they
actually are. I'm not often surprised.

Harder still, to comprehend one that might be a little further up
the path than you yourself have dared to go...

Have gone a little bit far myself, from time to time. :-)

It's all OK. We all end up in the same place in the end.
DEAD MEAT rotting on the bones. Nothing more, nothing less.

Very true. Why do morons have to invent crap when the actual
truth is horrendous enough? I think that they are trying to
avoid growing up.

I accept the accolade and honorarium.

I accept tips.

So true. Once read that 80% of people believe that they have above average intelligent. Guess 30% are walking around stupid and don't know it.

Thanks! I don't have to reply to your post because
you've said it all perfectly!

A twisty, tiny mind. You really are a Christian.

The same to you - double - with no returns.

I mean the whole thing comes down to perception versus reality, just because a person dosen't think something can be done dosen't make it so, it's just your perception that it can't be.

Personely i don't like the whole idea of remote viewing i think it's a invasion of privacy.

As far as religion gos, i don't believe in organized religion altho i believe in Jesus and the King James Bible.

You realize that not all Christian beliefs are hateful
or poisonous? Of course those Jehovah's Witnesses are a pain.

I know rather a lot about Christian beliefs, actually,
from personal experience. It is an evil cult.

Funny story ...

Good one! They should try accosting me sometime ... :-)

Hey! Here's an idea. Make it illegal to inflict religion
on children (it is child abuse, after all) and when people
reach the age of 21, let them choose themselves a religion.

Or not.

Problem solved.

Find a good shaman. Or devote your life to raising the vibration of your physical and astral bodies and purifying your body and mind of all toxins. Or both. Also like true love ( because in essence finding true love is what you will be doing ) stop looking and let it come to you.

I am not really a Christian. As I have stated elsewhere I am a big fan of Jesus Christ the man, just not so fond of Jesus Christ the God. And yes I am aware that many of the things attributed to Jesus he may not have said at all. Who cares? Sort of like Milli Vanilli. I still like the song Blame It On The Rain I don't care who really sang it. Same with JC. I like the ideas, don't care if they were really all his. (I stay way from the Gospel of John it is cultish)

Sometimes good ideas don't have to have a proof. If treating each other like brothers helps society we don't have to prove that there is a God telling us to do so. On the same note a little fable is a good way to explain why you do things when you don't know why.

So to sum up, we aren't going to prove the good or the bad of Christianity here so it is all Off Topic

But how many realities do you think are out there?

I'd bet that it's more important that people don't continue
to believe that if they really, really, really believe
in something then it must be true, or will become true.
That's what kids do.

Young people who drive too fast don't think that they will
die in a car crash, but sometimes (to their astonishment)
they do. On the other hand, if you don't believe that you
can accomplish a task, there might be less likelihood that
you will. Balancing reality and chance is what adults do.

I don't think you need to worry about remote viewing,
because there isn't any.

I'd keep working on that religious thing.

Well what i'm trying to say is what is reality other then ones perception of such, we all think differently therefore that's our perception of this place called earth, you see my perception leads me to believe there's a God and yours don't, different perceptions is what i was getting at.

Yeah, I see your point.

But surely reality exists whether or not we acknowledge or
understand it; what we think doesn't actually change
anything, but it might change what we do, which can
alter things.

I live in the real world and know that things existed
before I was born and will continue after I'm gone. I also
know what I think is worth absolutely nothing to anyone but
myself! We are all much the same, we're all in this together.

I can understand plenty of things without having to invent
(or adopt someone elses invention) of hidden, higher
purposes or beings, or by being superstitious.

Is that just a perception, or a rational conclusion based
on experience, logic and facts?

But still I buy lottery tickets. :-( Explain that!

It's your perception that lead to your rational conclusion, but it was your perception that did that, someone else might come up with another rational conclusion but again it would just be there perception and take on a subject.

Also don't worry about the lottery tickets i buy them too and have yet too hit the powerball either.

Try going into like your living room, close the blinds, light a candle in the middle of the living room, shut off all other lights, and sit alone, and call loudly to Satan, and demand he and all his demons come and make themselves known to you and ask them to have them show you a sign. Do this for about 5 minutes. At about this point you will be begging God to save you from what you have just done. You should give this a try. Let me know how it works for you.

I see your point also about reality exists, like for instance lets say we both went to see the new Transformers movie well that's reality because we both went to see it, however our perception of the movie could be different, even our whole experience and expectations leading up to the movie will be based on perception of what we expect out of the movie.

My religion is my own personal belief, and I haven't tried to spread it at all. I already told you I don't care whether you're a Christian or not. Doesn't bother me any, its your problem as far as I'm concerned.

Why should I keep my religion to myself while you go around flaunting anti-religious remarks? If I have to keep my "dirty little secret" to myself, so do you.

So I'll make you a deal, I won't talk about Christianity, or religion in general in this thread anymore, if you won't bash Christianity or any other organized religion.

One last time, maybe it'll sink in to you finally, I don't care whether you, or anyone else is a Christian or not. I haven't tried to spread it, and I won't.

Edit: clarification

[edit on 9/7/09 by wisefoolishness]

Isn't the whole point of christianity, the point of life for a christian, is to "Spread the Good Word". Wouldn't you be a half arse christian to not do it?
