Knights Templar hid the Shroud of Turin, says Vatican

www.timesonline.co.uk

Medieval knights hid and secretly venerated The Holy Shroud of Turin for more than 100 years after the Crusades, the Vatican said yesterday in an announcement that appeared to solve the mystery of the relic’s missing years.

This issue has been discussed and written in various novels and books. Its nice to see some historacle documents coming to light. Even though the science hasnt verified the true nature of the shroud. Maybe one day for future generations may piece these puzzles together. nuff said. nuff said. nuff said.

I agree it's good to see some of the documentation, or paper trail, of this artifacts' history come to light.

But I can't help but question why was it necessary to keep this 'custody' issue secret for so long?

What is it about those in the 'know' that demands they hide their knowledge?

How ironic, for many believe it was the Templars that hoaxed the shroud to begin with, so maybe this new revelation will only add fuel to that fire

Ahh yes but the bigger question should be why did they work for so long to keep it from the Vatican in the first place?
They do not have the real shroud and they know it, time to lay it over on someone else, for the blame can't fall on them.
( another tid bit of info. There has been a blitz of shows about the shroud in the last week. hmmmm all of them showed that the edges of the shroud had been faked or fixed at some time. The Vatican also put the shroud in a box treated with a certain chemical that makes it impossible to verify the date. BUT a chemist thinks he may be able to take a tiny piece of the carbon from when it got burnt and date that.Being that it may not have sucked up the chemicals because it was already in a carbon state. So far the Vatican has refused..)

The Shroud of Turin is a complete forgery.
Radiocarbon testing of the Shroud

Why is this even trying to pass as credible news?
It's an artefact that was invented in the Middle Ages by the Catholic Church to rouse popular support for the Crusades and reaffirm people's beliefs in Christ, during an all-time high era of heresy and paganism, which were threatening to challenge the Church's influence across Europe.

You could consider it to be one of the first historical acts of a "False-Flag" forgery, created and planted, to make it seem as if it was genuinely discovered inadvertently.

That's a false positive carbon dating.

There was a fire where it was kept.
And even if you do carbon date it..it date's to the date of the fire.

I thought even one knew that..lol
