You are right "no star "does that
Its a planet actually Venus to be precises.
As to why it is so bright, I don't know why.
I have been watching Venus and the star Sirius for a couple of months now.
Sirius comes out later and follows the same path as the Moon by the way.
It usually comes out about 9.00 pm or so. And it is a sight to behold. It flashes different colours like a police light. Abosolutley memorizing to watch.
Again I don't know why it is so bright, From what I can gather they say it is supposed to do that. This I do not believe however.
I never remember it being this bright and flashy even when I was younger and my eyes were ten times better than they are now.

Thats how you are supposed to film UFOs. He has a nice steady view on a tripod, and dosent cut away half way through the sighting. GREAT ONE!

EDIT: I wanted to add the fact that i have no idea how that would be debunked. Flares? The infamous Chinese lanterns? lol....This is definitely one of my favorites.

In regards to the topic of this thread, im excited to see how this video Truther is speaking of turns out. Cant wait! hope its good.

Couldnt that easily have been photoshopped?? Or am I missing something? With all of the contrast, ie. bright moon, against black sky, it could have been doctored VERY easily I would think.

PLUS, there was no '80s porn music playing. That gets credibility points taken right off the top!

Possibly, Again...this video needs a thread for that reason as well. Im not the one to believe anything I see, and i have a good eye for CGI but im not a pro. Id like to see this get discussed and see what the pros have to say.

I suspect Truther has went for a swally ( to partake of an alcoholic beverage ) as it is Saturday night in the UK, and will be back tomorrow with whatever footage he has managed to obtain. I myself am about to do the same - Cheers

Sightings usually only show up in news if they get reported to police. The OP might try to find out if he has a local UFO reporting community and could very well discover others have submitted videos or photos. Or try a Flik'r photo search.

I don't think the OP is lying and hope he'll post the video today. However it may have been something else non-UFO related.

I am not sure. It may be a while. I am guessing that he needs to get in touch with his sisters friend and meet her somewhere, Perhaps borrow the phone for a bit. I dont know but I am guessing it will be a little while longer.

We also have to remember that although Truther's sighting was evidently pretty amazing from his location, his sister and her friend live a fair distance from him apparently. It's possible the sighting at their location was not as good as it was at Truther's. Who knows. We'll see.

Well Dam truther, been lerking here for awhile and it seems the one that sees things well dont see anything. i lerk for survival info and check other news but this is getting old, i was here at 130 am Texas time getting home from an alarm call and stayed up all nite now back again....... and just what i thought. nothing, i will stick to things that will help us all out when we need it. survival!!!

I hope Truther is not too agitated by the number of posts requesting the footage.

Being a non member but a very long time reader I'm happy to wait as long as it takes for him to upload it, I've enjoyed the past 12 hours so far!

Watching the forum all day today, this post inperticular, has shown me a real community spirit within ATS and an unquenchable thirst for answers.

Hopefully Truther, you will post you video on the forum as I am very keen to view it and am unsure if I can contact you without becoming a member.
I can imagne a lot of other long time readers are also keen to see it.

I know about your Venus video Phage, and it is a good resource.

As i said though, can a camera cause the effect seen at 1:06? Where the object looks like it is rippling with vertical lines that shine really brightly?

The rest of the video is pretty unremarkable.

I think that part shows an object (probably still Venus) passing behind something, maybe some tree branches.
