Yup, 3 - 4 months of basic training for all Americans at age 18 and in conjunction with a mandatory 20 - 40 hours of community service a month with different amounts required for middle school, high school and college/university students.

Jesus christ...DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT !!! This collection of headlines didn't actually scare me as I always felt this is gonna happen.

Yeah, I lost 1k of ATS points the night of the election because I spoke out against the "agent of change" messiah. Of course, I got death threats at a restaurant for having a conversation with some friends about 'his holiness'.

Yes, a death threat from a white, middle class yuppie. I said, nothing, nothing related to Obama's race or his Islamic ties, just discussing his policies and expressing my distaste for them and I got a death threat.

His exact words, "You should be taken out and shot. And I wish I were the one pulling the trigger."

I ignored him and continued on with my conversation.

So you guys are getting your information from World Net Daily and The World Socialist Website and you think it is accurate and spot on? No questions asked huh? Crazy me, I thought the political nonsense would end after the elections but there are too many bitter losers out there I guess. This scare tactics crap is really getting old. World War 3 started with the 'War on Terrorism'. Since there are 'terrorists' throughout the World Now it's just a matter of time until this War escalates to a stage were people actually think to call it what it is.

I'm not an Obama supporter for various reason, however would it be so bad if all american citizens are required to serve in the military or do something to support their country or community for a time?

Would it make you feel that your rights have been violated some how to take some responsibility for once.

Would it hurt to serve the very organization(s) that have allowed you to live in a country where you have the rights you do have. Christ, I have never heard so many cry babies in all of my life. You want all the freedoms and rights but, you dont want for one second to have to fight for them or contribute your time to something that's not self-serving.

Military service is an honor every Citizen should want. But I know thats not the society we have in America at this time. most of the post I have read recently about this topic of a SO called draft have been from people who just want everything but dont want the responsibility of duty to thier country.

That's what is sad!!!
