I do not like Obama. He is a thief, a liar, a criminal and one of the most wicked men in politics, aside from Dick Cheney in my opinion.

Can you show me where the evidence of this Harvard Law Professor being a criminal is?

I WILL NOT give the man or his racist wife a chance.

His wife is racist? Proof please

I WILL NOT acknowledge him as MY president. I WILL NOT compromise MY principals to make the masses look favorably upon me.

Then don't, the law makes him your president. We live in a democracy, remember?

Your principles? I wonder what those are.

You Obama supporters can label me whatever you want, call me whatever names you want for not kissing the hand of your "messiah". You know where you can shove your criticisms.

Who called him a "messiah"? I think you need to put down the book of revelations, wake-up and stop waiting for the rapture. There is NO anti-christ and there never will be!

I am constructing a website that will go live within a month. This site will catalog EVERY DAY of Obama's administration. I plan to show this evil man for the liar that he is by watching and hawking his EVERY move and his EVERY decision. Every waffle, every flip-flop, every disappointment of the American people will be documented for everyone to see.

Then you must have a heck of a website about Bush? Can I visit it? ...but wait, Bush can be trusted right? Obama in your eyes can't. Please enlighten me on the difference?

the Democrats in office can TAKE AWAY MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS and turn this country into a socialist cesspool.

Where do you get this from? I feel sorry for you, it must be terrible living in a world of so much fear and anxiety.

Bush/Cheney have been hacking away at the constitutional rights of Americans for 8 years with impunity. Obama hasn't mentioned or planned to take away your constitutional rights once! Infact, he has vowed to turn-over every decision Bush has made that is deemed unconstitutional. Joe Biden said that Obama and him have no intention of taking away the right to bear arms, Biden has a big gun collection himself.

Let Obama and his Democratic minions in Congress have rule of this country for the next two years - it will be a huge eye opener to Obama's supporters and they will be disappointed beyond belief once these two years are over.

Blossom... Blossom Goodchild?! Is that you? Wow, I didn't know you used ATS. Wow, your latest channelling to the Galactic Federation of Light was strange and out of line with the rest of your predictions.

I won't make any wild and far out future predictions, but what I will say is that Clinton left the White House with a $599 billion dollar surplus.

It appears that by the tone of your post you seem: anxious, paranoid, angry and fearful because Barack Obama won the democratic nomination. I have read through most of the right wing theories about Obama and I think some of the threads in skunk works hold more water than the wild, paranoid and far fetched accusations that are coming from the right. No one is forcing you to accept Obama, but what we would like is for you to give him a chance. I very much look forward to the possibility of proving you wrong and laughing at you once the 4 years is over.

Good day.

That may be true, but isn't a person innocent until proven guilty?

i dont know if this works so much for a president. This is supposed to be someone we can already trust. The election process is much like the dating process! Were not trying to figure out if the candidates are innocent or guilty of having done anything wrong, all though it does seem like that at times haha

but were trying to figure out who is more trust worthy, a better companion, and who will take care of us, so were looking for someone who we can trust to lead us and to not abuse us.

But it seems more that were trying to prove who is the better candidate, who has more good qualities. I mean the president is suposed to be the most qualified individual. Someone in high esteem with great accomplishments, experience, and wisdom.

My advice would be to educate yourself thoroughly on what issues you object to with regards to President Elect Obama and site those issues when discussing with friends or family who "make you feel guilty"

Or alternatively ask those same people why they voted for Obama and respond to legitimate areas where you disagree...thus making them aware that you aren't simply spouting off your disaproval without having legitimate issues.

Own your emotions. If YOU feel guilty that is YOUR inner voice not someone elses, no one MAKES you feel guilty. Have an honest heart to heart with yourself and find out why you feel guilty. If you determine that there is no good reason to feel guilty then let the feeling go.

If you are not proud of the reasons you don't like him, then that guilt is your inner voice guiding you to be a better person.

Either way don't let other people dictate your emotions.

You have no reason to feel guilty if your motivations for disliking him are well founded and legitimate as opposed to being rooted in base emotions.

Just my 2 cents.

I was so hoping that after it was all over we could knock off all of this tripe.

To the O.P; as someone who voted for Obama I am sorry that you have to endure this crap. Never let anyone tell you that you were or are wrong. You participated in the greatest system of government around. Just becuase you voted differently does not mean your vote was wrong. You voted for who you thought would best represent our country. You have done what we all should do, regardless of the outcome. You were involved and that in the end is what really matters.

And everyone knows that it is the person who never votes who is the fool, and the tool.

FINAL VERBAL WARNING

I cant say whining?

Right. I hope that clears it up for everyone.

I notice that the Russians are being bolder and threatening military action against our missile defense shield. The Russians are hardly terrorists but it does seem to be that they've taken Obama as a sign that they can take America's place on the world stage during the next few years.

This makes me happy because I am learning Russian and if Russia takes center stage in global politics then this will probably open up some much needed job opportunities for me

the least you could do is congratulate the obama fans for the fact that obama won. be sportsmanslike. maybe you can offer something that you like about him while mentioning the things you dont.
it does not reflect well if you act like a sore loser. if you have not been actin like a sore loser then they should just respect your views and call it a day. debates on politics and religion can get very nasty with some people.

I've already done so myself. The thread got moved.

I wasn't going to post in a while, but this thread moved me in a sense.

Obama isn't 100% bad, but I really can't come up with any policies or plans he has that will take us forward.

here's one. his entire campaign rallied many people and inspired them to register to vote and be interested in being involved in our political system.

here is another. the fact that he is a person of color/mixed race will inspire many many minorities and bring more and more people into the political arena to share their views.

if you still can't see anything good about him being elected our next president, then you are just being plain stubborn and there will be no changing your views.

i really can't name any plan or policy that will move us either way or the other, i just hope the policies will be different/better then those of the past 8 years, is all i'm sayin.

First off, the fact he rallied so many people really means nothing. It will probably do more harm than good seeing how a lot of people vote blindly.

Second, I am happy a mixed person has made it into the white house, but I don't feel its going to change anything. Once it settles in people will l forget it ever happened.

As for the past 8 years, I agree they have been horrible. But there is more to it than Bush's policies that led to the situation. For the record I hate Bush, but the senate has shown in the past 2 years it doesnt care about the American people. They now have even more power, and have the presidential seat to top it.

YAY FOR DEMOCRACY!

Maybe i should have said ashamed. i don't feel like i should be fallow or supporting Obama, but they sure like to make you feel like your doing one hell of an injustice to the future of our nation.

As if its my fault that it wont work out if Obama fails. Because he didnt have the support of EVERYONE.

Actually that has been building for some time now. The Russians have rightly judged that between Afghanistan and Iraq and a deeply unpopular lame duck president that we as a nation and a military force are hamstrung.

It began long before Obama even won the nomination. Over the next few years you will see Russia try and rebuild its empire break away province by break away province.

They would be doing the same thing had McCain won.

BTW that so called weapons defense shield was a boondoggle and money sink under Reagan and it remains so today... they can't even hit a target without them fudging with it.

Obama is right to want to end it.

I didn't like any of them, but at least Bush is out of office.

Obama, I don't really get all the excitement he won, I don't think he's going to be any better or worse than McCain would of been, but certaintly wasn't anything to be screaming in a mob about (like they were doing at my college).

as far as the country going further down the tubes, I don't think it really had much farther to go anyway, and who knows, maybe Obama would actually turn out to be a decent president. I'm probably the odd man out as I'm largely indifferent to 'the country' I'd just as happily live in canada, or wherever I end up as I do here, for me, countries are all just locations.

You really should just start living with now. The future hasn't happened, and you can't predict it. You can always tell someone who works from a fear based mentality because they are constantly worried about a future which doesn't exist. Those who only work with what actually exists are those, you will find, that work from a reality based construct, far removed from fear.

Keep in mind, that noone can make you feel anything. You have to allow it.

Question.

When Bush was elected the first time - did you *trust* him?

I find myself wanting to ask you to please be honest with your answer but it sounds too much like an insult!

Agreed 100%. People who spent years slamming Bush are now attacking me for not liking Obama.

I dont like Obama the man, and I feel no guilt, anyone who tries to play that card is fighting a losing battle.

I dont know Obama the President. No one does.

The important thing for all sides on this is simple. The American people spoke. America lives on in the fact we can and do ELECT our leaders.

I wasnt happy with the way the Obama supporters reacted after the election. There is something to be said about winning with humility. The McCain people didnt run out and burn down cities in defeat, rather most I know and have heard, while dissapointed, agree to put our differences aside and work towards a common goal. To end this insanity that has eaten our country the last 8 years.

To those who dont like Obama, he is the POTUS, we lost, move on and work to rebuild your party, and get the Neo-cons the hell out of it.

To the Obama supporters. Congrats. Good luck these next four years, it will be a difficult road, and I will work with you, without compromising my principals, and know full well, that we will be back 4 years from now, because in the end, we are all still Americans.

You know getting back ON TOPIC OF THIS THREAD...

If people verbally berate you over you position, just tell them "I want Obama to prove to me the change he speaks of" then walk away. There really isn't a counter-argument to that statement. Keep your emotions to yourself as well, politics can be a pretty emotional topic. Not like we didn't see any of that the past few pages of this thread..

OP - Half the country is on your side. Hold your chin up.

The Pelosi, Reid, Obama pyramid terrifies me. It means not just that the Democrats have control. It means the FAR FAR LEFT has complete control of the US Government. I would be just as terrified if the Far Right had complete control.

Anytime one extreme point of view has complete control, danger can not be far behind.

I think we are looking at:

- Wide open borders and a flood of illegals like this country has never seen before. Their numbers will add greatly to the National Debt. Far more in fact than the war.

- Tax increases on people making as little as $40,000 a year that will be hidden in Payroll taxes and renamed to hide them. Your take home will decrease, no matter what Obama said.

-New entitlements that will make the National Debt skyrocket.

-Unemployment approaching 8 to 9%.

-Double digit Home Mortgage rates unless we have another give away where the money is stolen from some to give to others.

-Medical care will be reduced to a nightmarish scene of waiting for many hours in lines, while tolerating abusive treatment from government employees, who don't care, just to see an assistant to make an appointment to wait in another line. I kid you not. Anyone who started in poverty knows I'm right. People will die sitting in chairs waiting for help.

-Doctors will be in short supply because nobody will want to be one. The Far Left always sides with ambulance chasers due to nearly all Democrats in government being attorneys themselves.

Obama will not be able to stop this unless he quits his Party, which is unlikely. He may think he can but Congress controls the government. Unless he is willing to veto Bills from his own Party, we are in trouble. The real President is now Pelosi / Reid / Dean. Just sit back and watch the money flow to their Friends. Instead of a "Bridge to Nowhere", we will have bridges to everywhere for any reason.

I voted for Barr.

Let's hope! It would do wonders for my income if they did, especially if there was direct military action by Russia against America on American soil.

The less seriously the Russians and the rest of the world take Obama, the more money I can expect to earn working for the Russians or for businesses that work with Russians.
