Yeah I heard he wanted to debate Bush and others but like children or annoyed ex-girlfriends they refused to talk to him. Pathetic. If Bush had a debate with him Bush would be destroyed. I'm hesitant to believe that he really wants death to America as I've never actually seen a clip of him saying that. From that Larry King interview and other things I have seen he doesn't seem to hate America at all but is, understandably, concerned about the current leadership and the way the US is headed.

his death to america and israel comments are a bit disturbing but i personally think its more for show and that hes actually quite harmless compared to what they make out. besides he doesnt even run iran its the supreme ayatollah i think that does. hes just a high up politician being president. im disgusted at mccains attitude to it aswell saying that there must be preconditions before talking. bushs policy of isolating then bombing countrys doesnt seem to have worked too well so i honestly believe dimplomacy is worth a shot. if it gets nowhere then fine but at least that card was played. i think a lot of # going on in this world could be avoided if everyone just sat down and talked.

But it's pathetic how the US won't have have diplomatic relations with Iran, just because it's not Shah-ran anymore - "tell Iran we're not talking to them anymore, hmph!"

Don't know if he's my favorite 'bad' guy though, that still goes to Putin for me followed by Chavez by a close second.

Which is ironic as it was the American government that supported the Islamic revolution and the installation of the current government that it wants to get rid of. Same applies for mr Hussain. Mad.

Uhhh...I don't think the US government supported that at ALL. They had a deal with the Shah, after he was kicked out (1950's?) the CIA arranged for him to become the leader once again in exchange for decades of oil rights.

The US gov was not thrilled when the Shah was overthrown, he was our boy, but after it happened they had to pretend they were okay (until things went bad).

Yeah a lot of arab/middle east countries are full of amazing buildings, trees, mountains, greenery, it's not all desert, desert type areas are more in country side and small towns from my experience.

Don't ever let an Iranian hear you refer to him as an Arab! They are Persian, they do not like Arabs (and the feeling is mutual). Their culture is ancient, the Persian kings ruled a huge empire. One of the Persian kings actually resettled poor displaced Jews back in Jerasulem and even made an effort to educate them about their (Jewish) religion because many of them had lost touch with their roots. They were very openminded regarding the customs and religions of various people in their domain.

And Iran has little or no desert, it has snow capped mountains and lots of grass lands. Some areas are desert like but most is not.

Slip of tongue, trust me I know how some hate to be called arab lol.

Oh yeah some may not like arabs much, but it's not that bad to me, they just don't like to be called arab, if they didn't like arab that much they would'nt have taken the religion from them. Also arabs have a rich culture too.

By the way I'm half Moroccan, and I know a lot Arabs and some Iranians.

We always hear about the "problem with muslims" in the UK. Do the Arabs and Iranians fully integrate?

Here we do not have many but they integrate very well. They frequently intermarry with Euro-Americans and assimilate completely in one generation.
