When I was a young teenager I ate McDonald's. I have never shopped at Wal-Mart (and they have always been in my area).

I didn't list them in my list because I was just listing ones that hadn't been listed. I definitely think Macdonald's and Wal-Mart should be on the list tho!!

You're right. Capitalism is very American. Without it, we wouldn't have grown to be the size we are. But eventually you reach a stagnant point, and the growth Capitalism relies on is no longer there, and a new system needs to come in. *Puts on his Socialists' gardening gloves*

I would not be proud of being a socialist. Socialism has been tried in numerous other countries and it never works for multiple reasons. One reason is socialism leads to marxism and communism. Another reason is in the philosophy itself. Think about it.......Socialism ideally distributes wealth so everyone is on the same page right.

One problem with socialism is that eventually there is no more money to distribute. Then you are # out of luck. Plus, it's just selfish to think that other people owe you there hard earned money.

Besides, since you admit capitalism has gotton us this far, why would you want to change a good thing?

I don't really like Microsoft because they impose what you can use or not use on your computer. People are so used to the Windows operating system that they don't know that there are other options out there. With open source and all. But they're saying that they're going to make Windows XP open source. Let's see what happens but yeah....
