Killing Americans Is Iran's Policy

www.cbsnews.com

(AP) CIA Director Michael Hayden said Wednesday that Iranian policy, at the highest government level, is to help kill Americans in Iraq, the boldest pronouncement of Iranian involvement by a U.S. official to date.

In recent weeks, U.S. officials have ratcheted up their complaints that Iran is increasing its efforts to supply weapons and training to militants in Iraq.

Its funny how all these claims are reported by US owned media. Has there been any 'official' responce by Iran to all the accusations?

The alarming thing I saw in the article is

Military commanders in Baghdad are expected to roll out evidence of that support soon

If they had the evidence, would they not present it when making the claim in the first place?

It's kinda like a bad cops show where the detective makes allegations against the suspect bluffing them with false information hoping they will slip up and confess thier crimes.....

Exactly!! The Government, if they wanted more people to believe them, they should have shown the evidence first then wasting people's time.

Shown what people? Who are you to see that kind of evidence? There isn't really room for civilian level involvment in these types of deals (so why should they release it to the public before they deem its safe) and they arent publicized until finalized because of security reasons (counter intelligence operations getting a head start). We're already at war with Iran, Iraq is just the proxy battlefront at the moment. It might shift into Iran itself if Iran keeps sticking its nose in Iraq's business.

Then why make the claims until the evidence is ready to be released?
That’s all I am saying.

when they said that iran was giving the weapons to iraqis'. thats when they should have shown the evidence to the public. why would that be a problem to show evidence?

They have released evidence of Iranian interference. Check this out. The Americans wouldn't be looking for another war unless they absolutely knew they could win it and benefit from it. My guess is nothing will happen, but Iran's interference is indisputable.

we shouldn't even start a war or go to war. The us government destroys peace and doesn't help it. how can we benafit from this. Iran is nice country that our crappy president wants to invade. it seems to me that the US is trying to take over the middle east.

America will NEVER stand down in the face of evil. We have become a great country because we are not afraid of going toe to toe with anyone. We have defeated Communism, Facism, Socialism, Nazism and a Monarchy to bring freedom to hundreds of millions of people from every race, creed, religion and nationality. And we WILL defeat Islamo-Facism! 'We may love life like they love death'..............But as Patrick Henry said, "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death"!

While I do agree that theres so much bogus bs from the bush admin,
I can see the logic in holding evidence.

you dont feed them tid bits , bit by bit allowing them time to slowly figure out a denial theme for each, you hit them with 10 pieces of intel in one hit, to overwhealm them!

Read that presentation by a qualified Major with a explosive ordanance disposal unit. Heres a brief exerpt;

" What you see here -- and again, Marty has brought some of these actual munitions to show you afterwards. On the bottom right are the 60-millimeter canisters that we found the Iranian-manufactured mortar rounds in. On the top left and on the top right are the canisters that we found the 81-millimeter mortar rounds in.

Next slide, please.

This is a further close-up of the 60-millimeter mortar round containers that we found.

Next slide, please.

These are the 81-millimeter mortar rounds that we found on site there at that house. And again, on the top right, if you look at that mortar round you'll see manufactured in 2006. And again, Marty can talk you through, as we have done once before, as to how we know where these rounds were manufactured.

Next slide, please.

These are the RPG-7 rounds that are only manufactured in Iran.

Next slide, please.

And again, you can see the year of date of manufacture there of this particular round. And again, Marty will be glad to show you some of these up close at the end of the briefing.

Next slide, please.

This is a 107 rocket, normally manufactured -- now, the country -- we know that Iran in fact does buy and import munitions such as this. And by the markings and some other things, we were able to ascertain that this one in fact did come from Iran, and it was also found on site at this house two days ago.

Next slide.

And that's an up front close view. That was 2005, when that one was made. "

If I were you I would study all wars the US has been in and why. Your blanket statements dont add up to anything my friend. Iran is the leading state supporter of islamic terrorism. I believe once they are dealt with (and seria) through a thorough air campaign Iraq will have a chance at governing themselves with the moderate democratically elected government. Israel will will be able to live free and the a new moderate palestinian state can be born. I think the time is now or never.

Islamic terrorism??? are you joking because thats just not true. Iran is a peaceful country. there are never any bombings theres because of Islamic terrorism. we don't need to bring "America" to middle eastern countries. what we need to do is mind our business just like other countries who try to live in peace until the US bothers them. The government is lying again! thats how i see it.

Iran is not a peaceful country. Iran is the worlds leader in state sponsored terror that advocates the destruction of a UN recognized sovriegn nation; I'll let you take a guess which one that is. Iran has a horrible track record on human rights, especially for women, and their ties to the Iraqi insugency are undeniable. Iran is contributing to Iraq's turmoil and many believe it to be seeking nuclear weapons. Nobody is trying to bring America to middle eastern countries, we're trying to stop terrorists from middle eastern countries bringing their terror to our home country and having another 9/11, or something like the 7/7 transit attacks in Britain. Or Madrid.

The website you referenced is terribly put together, and a terrible reference in any argument. The page itself is poorly sourced and I found many flaws within reading only for a few minutes. I stopped, because I can't really force myself to read too much bull# before it starts to bug me. This is a slanted, revisionist history. Isn't this site the same source that has been linked to anti semetic/holocaust denier websites in the past few years?
