they didnt strike a deal with the arab league. the arab league were the ones who invaded israel after they became a state. if anything, the "decision" was made without consideration of the arab league, thats part of the problem.

The 750,000 figure..that is the number of Palestinians expelled when Israel was created in 1948, not killed..but many of them wound up in Lebanon and for the next 4 decades suffered repeated massacres by the Israelis and their facist-christian clients-the Phalange and the haddads murderers in the south..the chritians would massacre, the israelis would bomb and shell.

I don't care what 'jews' went through throughout history, the Jews are the Jews and it is a religion, the Zionists are the mostly european people that came to Palestine sinnce 1890..but mostly from the 1930's-

their history is massexpulsion of the indeginous population and the most draconian aphartied in humna history..

lets identify what the problem is, not Jews but the fact that zionism is an inherently racist movement because it calls on the non-jewish inhabitants of Palestine to be removed so they(jews) can take their land and have a non-pluralistic jewish purity state..had Jews simply came there to live with the indeginous population i'm sure there would have been some tension as there always is, but you would have never had this catastrophic bloodletting that continues in the middle east today with the zionist americans murdering iraqi arabs everyday as part of the zionist terror-genocide movement..

racism is racism and you don't give special permission to a certain group to be racist..if christian white people do this is kukluxklan racism but it's ok for jewish white-people to do it?

Technically, Palestinians should be anyone who lived in Ottoman Palestine.
That means Jews, Arabs, Samaritans, Druze, Armenians, etc.

Now Arab-Palestinians have been attacked and killed by Israelis, but they have also been killed and exiled by other Arab countries.

Black September in Jordan was far worse than the Intifada has ever been and resulted in a mass expulsion of Arab Palestinians to Lebanon. Even today Arab-Palestinians are discriminated against by other Arabs.

Just earlier this year hundreds of Arab-Palestinians were killed by Lebanese forces but the world mostly ignored it. Had this been Israel in a similar operation in Gaza all manner of accusations and criticism would have fell upon the Israelis.

Please dont accuse the Americans being Zionists. If we were, there would be no peace process and the the Palestinian Authority would not exist.

Jews are not all white, Most Jews are Semitic and share 99% of their DNA with their Arab-Palestinian brothers. When the people there realize they are all technically Palestinian, including the Jews, it may help bring the people together. The Samaritans, Druze, Jews, Arabs, and any others who lived in Ottoman Palestine are Palestinians. Zionism, aka Jewish Nationalism and Arab-Palestinian Nationalism are core parts of the conflict. Both sides want their own country, but the problem is the land has never ever been ethnically and culturally homogenous. When both sides realize that it will help. It will help even more when the Arab-Palestinians realize they are being used as pawns in a much bigger game where they will be discarded in the end. Before this is over, the Arabs and Israelis will look back and realize the greater enemy was not each other, but outside forces manipulating them into conflict and ruin.

I retract all my statements in concerns with that statistic. I was up for far too long the past 2 days.

Though, we can see the the dangers and injustices from all angles of the situation, that doesn't mean we "compare" them as to who is better or worse. The land rightfully belongs to the surviving 750,000 or their family in case of death. This land does not belong to Israel. Simple and plain with no comparisons.

I agree that the people in an ideal world should be able to live there, but so should the Druze, Samaritans, Jews, Armenians, Greeks, Turks and others families who have lived there. Israel should not be a ethnically homogenous land, Jewish or Arab. Ideally they all should be able to live there and practice whatever faith and culture they want. The land should be a refuge to many peoples, not just Islamic fundamentalists or Zionists.

guess you can't get to caught up with whats fair and whats not fair and whats racist and who the country really belongs to..

only realistic solution is to now divide the country back along the 1967 border with no settlement blocks or anything like that, just a clean border and no paestinian refugees into Israel..

Palestinians are willing to do that now and Israel will not, if israel cannot do it then just make it 1vote per person and share govt in a bi-national state.. Israel-Palestine .. kind of like Czeck-Slovokia(former) Bosnia-Herzcovina(sic) .. Austria-Hungarian(former) ..

It is unlikely land alone will be enough.

Until the Palestinians and Israel share a common material economic interest, their chances for success remains small.

So lets not dirty our country by comparing it to a segregationist jimcrowe state.

Israel should extend, because they spread democracy over ignorance. Islam is backwards and they only spread with acts of terrorism, suicide bombers and lies. Israel is a nation that fought off many attacks by islamic nations, it is only inviting them now. Israel is going to destroy itself if it appeases to terrorists.

Arabs in Israel have more rights than Arabs in the surrounding Muslim countries.

Jerusalem to be divided, declares Israeli official

JERUSALEM – A top member of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government today announced Israel "must" give up sections of Jerusalem for a future Palestinian state, even conceding the Palestinians can rename Jerusalem "to whatever they want."

"We must come today and say, friends, the Jewish neighborhoods, including Har Homa, will remain under Israeli sovereignty, and the Arab neighborhoods will be the Palestinian capital, which they will call Jerusalem or whatever they want," said Israeli Vice Premier Haim Ramon.

(visit the link for the full news article)

The Jerusalem Post also reported a poll that said a majority in Israel would support allowing the Palestinians making East Jerusalem their capital, IF the Palestinians would allow the rebuilding of a Temple.

Interestingly enough there are some scholars who now believe that the location of the original Jewish Temples was not where the Dome of the Rock is now, but between the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsah (sp?) Mosque, where there is a small garden and fountain.

If they all want to get along, it could happen.

So, for our friends in this thread (and I do mean that seriously - you'll find no animosity from me) who think Israel has a great claim on its lands, what would the Israeli stance be if in a few thousand years the Palestinians are given Israel back by the, say, UN, and are given billions of dollars a year to buy weapons and erect checkpoints in Jewish neighbourhoods to control Jewish movements through what used to be a Jewish country? You'd be fine with that? Because if not, then you're taking a massively hypocritical stance. No-one likes to have their land taken, to be subjugated, to be treated as second-class citizens. The Brits learned that in Northern Ireland - the solution? To talk. To give people the representation they need to make their own communities, free from soldiers, free from "accidental" killings, free from car-bombs, snipers, and hatred. If Israel treated the Palestinians the same as it treats the Jewish people, then there would be no problem. It's when the artificial constructs of political borders are used to define "them" and "us" that people get hurt, and the longer it goes on for, the longer it takes for the pain to go away. Israel should be a state of mind, not a state on a map. The Jews were to be welcomed back to their homeland by the Muslims, but instead Europe waded in and used the international political machinery to carve out a swathe of land, and, well, I don't have to tell you what happened then.

Peace - it's what should be for dinner.

Nope - he called for a regime change, to one more accepting of the international community and the rights of subjugated people.

Oooops, couldn't resist the Monty Python's quote from "The Life of Brian"

Anyway, maybe it's worth taking a step back to look at how it all fits into the big picture. Yahn Goodey has given us the biblical? prophetic perspective. Since there is more than one side to every story and conflict, in the next post I'll provide the other side - so here's something to think about as to who, why and how the machinations of evil and man will mesh/compliment/complete it.

Now, when considering what follows - think not how all that is happening could deny or refute it - instead, think about how it all fits together, between the time that the following was said until now. If you don't take the time to understand this, you'll never understand what is going on in Israel or anywhere else. Now let me introduce you all to Albert Pike in the next post.

Albert Pike

Very few outsiders know about the intimate plans of Albert Pike and the architects of the New World Order. In the 19th Century Albert Pike established a framework for bringing about the One World Order. Based on a vision revealed to him, Albert Pike wrote a blueprint of events that would play themselves out in the 20th century, with even more of these events yet to come. It is this blueprint which we believe unseen leaders are following today, knowingly or not, to engineer the planned Third and Final World War.........more.....

Three World Wars

Albert Pike received a vision, which he described in a letter that he wrote to Mazzini, dated August 15, 1871. This letter graphically outlined plans for three world wars that were seen as necessary to bring about the One World Order, and we can marvel at how accurately it has predicted events that have already taken place...........

..........."The First World War must be brought about in order to permit the Illuminati to overthrow the power of the Czars in Russia and of making that country a fortress of atheistic Communism. The divergences caused by the "agentur" (agents) of the Illuminati between the British and Germanic Empires will be used to foment this war. At the end of the war, Communism will be built and used in order to destroy the other governments and in order to weaken the religions."..........

........"The Second World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences between the Fascists and the political Zionists. This war must be brought about so that Nazism is destroyed and that the political Zionism be strong enough to institute a sovereign state of Israel in Palestine. During the Second World War, International Communism must become strong enough in order to balance Christendom, which would be then restrained and held in check until the time when we would need it for the final social cataclysm."..........

"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion…We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time."
