Irish firm to put free-energy machine on display today

www.breakingnews.ie

The Irish company which claims to have designed a machine that creates energy from thin air is due to put the technology on display today.

Steorn claims its Orbo device uses the interaction of magnetic fields to generate a constant source of free and clean energy.

If true, the technology would defy the laws of physics.

It is currently being tested by 22 of the world's top scientists, who are expected to conclude their review sometime next year.

Is there a forum on ATS for free energy discussion? Did I miss it?

Interesting - thought this lot would of quietly slipped away by now like every other free energy claim.

ORBO website

The Claim!

Orbo produces free, clean and constant energy - that is our claim. By free we mean that the energy produced is done so without recourse to external source. By clean we mean that during operation the technology produces no emissions. By constant we mean that with the exception of mechanical failure the technology will continue to operate indefinitely.

The sum of these claims for our Orbo technology is a violation of the principle of conservation of energy, perhaps the most fundamental of scientific principles. The principle of the conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created or destroyed, it can only change form.

Because of the revolutionary nature of our claim, not only to the world of science but to the world in general, Steorn issued a challenge to the scientific community in August 2006 to test our technology and report their findings. The process of validation that has resulted from this challenge is currently underway, with results expected by the end of 2007.

From the article,

"If true, the technology would defy the laws of physics."

So if it defies the laws of physics then how could it possibly work?

well, theres a lot of people waiting to see this device and their claims. i hope that it turns out to be real and would shake up the world to stop fighting wars for oil and profit.

they did go about this in an unusual way to normal free energy claimants and also spent a lot of money doing so. not long to wait for an official verdict then....

Maybe because it is not breaking the laws of physics at all.. maybe our laws are either wrong or partially correct, which IMO is the case. A whole chunk of science has been delibrately washed over, specifically the work of one Nikola Tesla.

There is a devolopers forum where the tech will be made available after validation.

The forum is on trial and has several hundred users - I had a look on bugmenot.com see if a username and p/word was available - unsurprisingly it didn't!

Any one part of this forum? Any one able to join?

Edit to add: Well okay then!!

Edit again - decided just to post again, got carried away

Scientific 'laws' are created to explain scientific observations. When repeatable observations cannot be explained with current 'laws', the 'laws' are amended. Currently, most of astrophysics is being rewritten based upon what we've come to know about the universe in recent years. It's not a pleasant experience since the establishment fights change. Look back to when it was suggested that the earth wasn't the center of the solar system.

I remember when this was first released. There is a thread talking about it.

I registered to be on there mailing list. The web page has changed the the original link no longer works. If that is relevant.

For those that don't know (up until 2 mins ago I was one!) it works by magnetic viscosity don't you know?

The idea is to make a perpetual motion machine that also produces spare energy - hence free energy. As we all know conservation of energy says that you get out what you put in. Drop a ball it bounces back almost as high as the level you dropped it from, some of the energy is 'lost' to friction and stuff, if this energy was not lost the ball would bounce forever.

It does not matter how long it takes you to lift the ball (say 5 foot), 1 second or one minute the ball has the same potential energy for when you let go. Apparently that is called "temporal invariance"

Now you will know the term viscosity used to describe liquids, it is a measure of the liquids resistance to deforming when under stress. So if you think of liquid as temporally variant, it takes more energy to move through liquid quickly than slowly, the analogy I read was 'imagine diving into the sea from a boat - you feel the resistance from the water. Now imagine diving into the sea from an aeroplane - you’re much higher, you hit with more speed, you feel like you’ve hit concrete. That's the temporal variance of viscosity.'

They say the same is true with magnets, as two magnets come together (poles aligned so as to repel each other) there is a time lag as the force between the magnets increases - it's milliseconds. It means it takes less energy to bring the magnets together quickly than it does slowly. Bring the two magnets together quickly and let them repel more slowly - you supposedly get more energy out then you put in.

I've yet to watch these, but its a 5 part you tube on it.

part 2

q&a

I'm gonna take time to watch later, what I don't get is don't you lose any energy you may possibly make on one cycle by making sure the magnets repel more slowly next time??

This has just appeared on the www.steorn.com site:

"Due to technical difficulties we will now be live from the 5th July."

Looks like they are having difficulties with the web-stream.

I'm sure it's too early to mention the word "conspiracy," but it could have been delayed by the powers that be so they can concoct a huge news story to divert the public's attention away from the announcement.

Or possibly Steorn is having a slight difficulty getting their "Aerial Drones" in place for a massive public demonstration in the US. Maybe their demonstration was weather permitting. Hmmm.

Gee are you the only other Tesla supporter in this forum...lol.... screw Edison that kiniving bastard...Tesla was the true harbinger of a technological revolution... his ideas were too good for their time....

Apparently the machine will demonstrate lifting a weight instead of lighting a bulb as the developers we're wary that wires going to a lightbulb would create too much skepticism at the demonstration....lol as if there isn't enough...lol
