It was weird me and my mom were in her car coming home from my school at around 3 o clock and she said what is that and i looked and i saw this odd shaped aircraft, it was white and it was pretty to see in the clouds but it had its gear down and I drew a picture of it (not so good) because i didnt have a camera on hand...

I didnt hear any engine (the raido was on) and I didnt see a propeller so Im assuming it was a jet plane

It looked to be the size of a little cessna, wasnt a kite or little rc plane

Probably one of these - A Beechcraft Starship - designed by Burt Rutan, or one of the smaller "sporty" models that scaled composites came up with.

This is what a starship looks like

And this is a Varieze

Dude, don't feel stupid !!
You did what, sadly, many others avoid.
You told it like you saw it, and since you had no camera, you drew what you saw.
AWESOME !!!!
Thank you for posting you story, here.

Regards,
Lex

Nope not at all. Its not a common aircraft by any stretch and its a very cool one to boot. That one thing that great about the Aviation Forum. Someone almost always can ID it.

Actually for quite a while my uncle was really intent on buying one of these. He never got around to it, although if he can find one of them with small jets mounted rather than turboprops he'd be saving up pretty quick
. It's a strange-looking plane, but in a way it can be even better-looking than a military plane.

racerzeke,

Great post buddy!
It's people doing just what you did here that allows us to identify new aircraft types and study them. It just happened that what you saw was a known, but rarer aircraft type.

You're well on your way! Here at ATS, we try to work together and share what we know. This time, it was a known aircraft. Next time, it could be something we don't know of yet.

Thanks for your great post! Hope to see more from you in the future!

Tim
