You're most welcome DB!!

As you'll see, Spectre started a thread (quoted above), trying to encourage more people to join the team before SETI@home moves to BOINC. This will try to ensure we (ATS SETI@home team) achieve as high a position in the global teams list before it closes (results will be archived however, so will be a lasting testament for us! )

This initiative has born fruit, as witnessed by the "surge" in WU's produced. I couldn't believe the member - Pedro - had joined (I don't know if he is on the Discussion board yet?) - when I checked our stats this evening!

Good luck DB - nice to have you with us!

***Archive post - 138 478WU's***

Hi all!!

Well, the first thing to say is THANX to all new members for joining the ATS SETI@home team - and to Spectre as well for his recent "Final push" thread and "work around" that seems to make joining the team "easier"!! Thanx to all!!

Second thing is that SETI@home now has more than 5 000 000 users worldwide, according to my SETI Stats, users are now 5 000 600, which is quite remarkable, considering the programme is drawing to a close!!

SETI@work

79 active members: 227 inactive members, 177.4 WU's per day, total WU's 138 478WU's at Fri May 21 14:33:57 2004 UTC

The Global teams board still hasn't been updated, so no idea where we are here!! Time will tell!

ATS SETI@home team stats

Members 306, Results received 138 348WU's, Total CPU time 161.463 years at Thu May 20 18:05:29 2004 UTC

ATS BOINC Beta team

Members 40 (24 active), Total credit 24 231.11, Recent average credit 251.43

Global position 54th out of 1034!!

Well done everybody for a GREAT job!!

The thread is styled 46 000WU's, as you know, because this precise result for the ATS SETI@home team was achieved on the 12th Dec 2003. This was before the inception of the BOINC team, of course.

What I find amazing is that we've trebled this score since then - please give youreselves a "pat on the back"!!

Here's to a fantastic "number-crunching" future!!

***Archive post - 145 238WU's***

Hi all!!

Recent recruitement has seen a tremendous "leap" in our statistics, which I'm delighted to report here!!

SETI@work

85 active members: 229 inactive members, 237.0 WU's per day, Total WU's = 145 238WU's at Tue May 25 09:58:13 2004 UTC!!

Global position still has to be updated, as it "only" shows 664 th place for us, with 139 152WU's. Updates appear to be "random" but 145kWU's *should* place us around the 625th place in all teams - time will tell!!

ATS SETI@home team stats

Members 314, Results received 145 237WU's in Total CPU time 175.514 years at Tue May 25 09:50:45 2004 UTC!!

ATS BOINC beta team

Members 40 (24 active members), Total credit 25 937.52, Recent average credit 313.86

Global position 50th out of 1044!!

Well done to all ATS SETI@home and BOINC team members!! Thank you very much indeed for your sterling efforts!!

You'll notice that DirtyDevil has now achieved 5th position and is "threatening" Bob88's place!!

Let's keep up the great work folks!! (And don't forget pantha's conversation with SO a couple of days ago re Points for WU's )....

***Archive post - 149 608WU's!!***

Hi all!!

Well, we're *very* near to achieving 150kWU's with the ATS SETI@home team!!

SETI@work

96 active members: 231 inactive members, 279.6WU's average per day, 149 608 WU's total at Wed Jun 9 17:59:21 2004 UTC!!

Global position from SETI@work shows us in 626th place BUT this only credits us with 147 269WU's total, so is "lagging" by 2000-odd WU's - were probably nearer 614th position in reality!!

ATS SETI@home team stats

This shows Members 327, Results received 149 548WU's, in Total CPU time 179.447 years at Wed Jun 9 06:52:22 2004 UTC!

ATS Beta BOINC team

Members 41 (24 active members), Total credit 30 055.92, Recent average credit 249.19

74th position out of 1 111 teams!!

Well done to all of you for making ATS SETI "crunchers" a force to reckon with!!

Kudos to all!!

WOW, we are so close!
I'm nearly at my personal goal too, of 1000 WUs. Just another two weeks and a day and I'll be there.
The time has flown by , it doesn't really seem that long since I first joined the 100 club.
We were all so proud of our 46000 units at the start of this thread, and just look at us now.
What a team

Hi pantha!

First, congrats to come for the 1kWU certificate!!

And, yes, the *growth* in membership - and "crunching" power - is phenomenal really! Between us, we've added 100 000WU's in 6 months!

Let's go teams!!

Hi KC!!

Well, the best thing to do (I think) is to have a look through the Index I've referenced above and see what's "gone before". There's some interesting stuff in there which should clear up any questions you've got?

Also, please don't "ignore" the help and advice at SETI@home itself - for example the FAQ's page.

Happy "crunching"!!

When I checked the stats for today I saw that DiRtYDeViL has passed Bob88 to take 4th place on the ATS-SETI team with 6861 work units completed. Congratulations, DD! Nice work.
