Ave SO !!

You are doing a great job with ATS D[epeche]M[ode] refacing, and is not over
yet but is look great every day. I love it.

For the "put everything in the middle of the screen" request, i fund a simple workaround; just fit the size of my firefox, to the ats size, than i put the bronwser in the middle of my monitor... and i fell more confortable now!

I have a webdesign usability hint: at the end of each page could you put a
"footer navigation bar"? Something like this :

]TopPage¦AtsHome¦Btshome¦...¦...¦...[

So the user will not need to scroll every time at the top page with the mouse wheel

Thanks Ivan

I just upgraded to Firefox 2.0. I thought it was Firefox that gave me that feature. I don't remember if S.O. mentioned an imbedded spellchecker, maybe you are mistaken??

Or perhaps I am?

GothicDJ, the suggestion for a link back to the top of the page is a good one, imo.

It does'nt need to be a full navigation bar though, just a link to the top.

Oh, I see it now, too. It's waaaayyyy at the bottom.

It may be more visible if it was next to the "post reply" button area - a "back to top" button, that is; not necessarily the full navigation bar.

2 cents.

edit for clarity.

- look at "last post" on the top of the page across from subforum.
...its a light grey box in the middle of the nice dark grey background. (customize says light, so that means Im in dark mode with light text on dark background...for trouble shooting purposes.)

- Chat times out...
...this will NOT happen if the chat window stays on top and you DO NOT browse.
BUT, if you browse, you get time out errors left and right in Chat. That is the bug solved, or at least the cause.

- BTS..."Fait and Spirituality" the "h" is missing, so we now have essentially "fate"

- BTS...The chat will not load at all, the page cannot be found, or is invalid, etc.

Peace

Dalen

About 80% of all the cosmetic work is complete. I'll be getting to all the little minor issues on a page-by-page basis... including a few new surprises.

Overall, some preliminary data...

Theme choices
74% of all people picking a color combination stick with the dark matter.

Page views
Overall page-views of content pages have increased about 30%.

Click-through
Users who hit the home page first are now 83% likely to click through to a content page.

So far so good.

I've updated my Mozilla browser, that installed a spell check. After having it for a few days, I'm not sure how I ever went without it. Not that I have a problem with spelling, but it was always good to be able to check.

If this is in the future for ATS, I am sure members will love it.

I haven't seen the "thread tag" words in any threads yet.But SO will fix that.

I sure hope there are more new features.

Keep up the great work.

i would like to see more smileys,and subforums,plus more organization.But we'll see.

re: spell checker.

Exactly what I had thought, as I posted in my last post here.

I am glad that BTS and PTS finally have the Dark Matter theme.

At least now when I switch from one board to the other, the contrast change isn't blinding.

thehumbeone, do you have plain old "Mozilla", or is it "Mozilla Firefox"?

Now if I can just find a Firefox skin, or "theme" that goes well with ATS Dark Matter, I'll be one happy camper. I did find a couple of dark themes, but they didn't go to well. But I'm still looking at other alternatives.

"Windows Blinds", maybe. Does anyone else know?

Apparently, the page numbers, if you notice, start with a negative value. -3 -2 -1

Negative page numbers don't exist. Hence, no data on those pages.

if you click on a positive page number, it will take you to the corresponding page.

But it still is a little odd.

Thanks Mechanic. Not looking for a solution, just pointing out a problem.

Mine is the newest Mozilla Firefox.

Where do you get the skins at?
