OK, I've been thinking about this for awhile, and I thought I'd bring it
up to see what everyone thought about it.

Now, we have the Science & Technology forum which is one of my
favorite ATS forum sections.
Now the Science & Technology Forum is basically for everything about
the topic.
However with the increasing advancements in robotics and the threads
that are subsequently created about the innovations and creation in the
field the number of threads about it has started to increase and will
most likely furher increase in the near future.

So I've been thinking that it would be a good idea to have a Robotics
sub-forum within the existing Science & Technology forum.

So, what do you think?

Robotics sounds like a excellent topic for the proposed Automotive Forum.

Personally I don't see the need for a seperate sub forum for Robotics, it fits neatly into Science and Technology and still seems to be a good home for it.

Yeah, it would clutter this place up to no end if they kept on adding more forums for things that can just as easily slot into another pre-existing forum. I see no need.

Or, ATS can create a Transformers forum and kill two birds will one stone.

Are there enough topics on robotics to justify a separate forum for them? I personally love robotics and would be for it; I used to work at a plant that had robotic arms polish door levers. It was a simple process, but no less fascinating to watch. Though for a three million dollar machine, it seemed to require quite a bit of maintenance.

True enough right this second there is'nt a big need for one.

But one I'm saying is that in the next few years as robotics start
advancing even faster, there will be an influx of robotics related
threads.

I'm really just thinking ahead, to address the issue before it actually
has to be.

Anyways, I'm just curious what people think of having one anyways,
I don't think we should have one right this second, but rather for when
the time is right and one becomes more feasable to create.

You know to, there are quite a few robot threads this month,
which subsequebtly I've posted, so if that amount tirples,
obviously not from just myself, than I think the sub-forum
should be put into consideration.

Please add any further requests for new forums to the following thread.

ATS, BTS, What would you like to see in the future?
