Redid it yet again, and it won't take "brooklynbridge.html" as an answer...says incorrect. I wonder if it really is an incorrect answer, but an answer to another question, like that Rendlesham thing, again??? I'm soo tired of retyping all this...

whops, sorry... thx for straightening that out.

how is it even possible that dif. browsers show same page differently?
im no html expert, but i thought that was impossible... or at the very least a programming nightmare.

but what do i know?

i dont think so.

"not a battery, aside from manhatten, Linda"

battery park, near manhattan, near brooklyn bridge, Linda was the name of the woman abducted. No we are on the correct path I believe.

M- there seems to be some confusion as , those of us on Firefox have a ( u )
instead of ( . ) which those using Explorer have.

*U* is a serious 20 year UFO research effort to catalog, map, and do statistics on UFO reports worldwide.

That's exactly why I've cleared my cookies.

What versions of Firefox are members using that get the "u" ???

Mine is Firefox/1.5.0.6

I've gotten both the u and the . on firefox but only the . on IE.

Also, I only got the u once on firefox.

Has anyone cleared their cookies and reentered their answers in firefox in the last 20 min and gotten a "u"? Where's Springer when you need him?

Regarding the "." :

Given the John Keel theme of recent question, Point Pleasant would be an ideal answer...

Doesn't seem to work though.

Now my wife wants me to go to bed, and I've always considered it unwise to turn down such requests from attractive blondes.

Nighty Night.

I don't see it as a rendering issue ... both sources just show a period or U where the question usually is on the page.

If anything it's a server side issue ... either someone is hand coding it or they have something automatically producing the pages. However I don't think you could create a unique page for different browsers WITHOUT any type of code in the html on page.

Also I've gotten both the u and the period in firefox so it's not just a browser-dependent thing.

Very confusing.
