This is really confusing.

If there are these variations, how do we know which is correct??

I'm starting to think this is just like the background images, pseudorandomly generated.

It would explain the discrepancies at least.

Ok scratch that.

What are the similarities between the "." the ". " and the "u" ???

Maybe we should focus on that.

single charachters??

Hmmm...

I believe I may give up on this one altogether.

JBird, there's the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel.

In other news: Budd Hopkins is allegedly writing a book called "Eagel's End: The Brooklyn Bridge UFO Abduction". I tried "eaglesend.html" and got a pop-up ad. Now I get "answer incorrect" no matter how far back I go. Looks like I'll have to start over again again. Grrrr. Could someone else try "eaglesend" please?

What does seeker = now.

Never mind previous entry. The period is there. The space after the period or last character is there on every question.

I've got seeker = 37 here.

I just had a thought, since there are 72 questions, we are now at the half way point

In addition to "dot" "period" and "point" it could be "decimal" or something math related. Decimal also means relating to tens, like deciliter. Perhaps it's something to do with "tens".

Have we tried the zero point energy topic? or the first dimension, which is zero (a point)?

Too many threads to go back and read through

I wonder if we will be seeing a "ref" number pop up at the bottom of the screen, before this one is solved.

I'm thinking we need more referrals, before we can see the rest of the riddle....

Thoughts anyone........

I'm not bothering to go forward on this computer but I am checking your progress. springer had mentioned to me that this thing was going to get much, much harder. he wasn't kidding. remember the common thread theory and someone might want to ask sir springer if the u and the . are meant to be different for each browser. if so, the game would be unsolveable in my eyes. not everyone uses ff and not everyone playing is necessarily here on the boards.

so, there might be some poor shnook who only knows of the . and another who only knows of the u. that would make this a nightmare unless that little tidbit is in there so that only those active on the boards will catch the double clue.

this just came to me as well

explorer (space name) = .
firefox (craft name perhaps?) = u

might be something there. might not.

back to watching my son break stuff.

if we are on 37, if its halfway doesnt that make 74 questions? I thought there was 72, or do we count bonus questions aswell?

Here's a link from a google search of "deci" and "bridge".

It's a report about a "fatigue test on cracked sections of a railroad bridge"
www.deci.com...

May be something in there, if someone's willing to slog through it.

Here's a triple whammy google hit: bridge, point, and decimal:
www.durangobill.com...
It's Durango Bill's Bridge Probabilities and Combinatorics - a paper on the card game, Bridge.

Whew, we've got a long way to go, folks.
