How far will God go to protect those who serve his deepest interests?

My question:

I was raised christian and I believed in god. I abandoned my religion and I have denied god in prayer, in conversation, and to family after my sister was molested by my grandfather. There was no fathomable way for me, as a youth- to continue believing and having faith in someone supposedly so loving yet so cruel.. she was only a child and he was my hero.

Am I doomed in my after life to the hell that is defined in the bible or is what exists after death more accepting than the set of restrictions Christianity provides (I.E. Do this= Heaven, Do that=Hell) ?

I am sincerely concerned.
