Current price ( just went up last night) in Melbourne and in Sydney, Australia is approx. $1.39.9 per litre.

It's getting ridiculous.

I remember when $20 would bring me back to full. Now I'm lucky if it gets me to the end of the block.

Pricing is insane. My sister saw a sign posted in a store (she didn't take a picture) that had the gas prices as follows:

$3.05 LOL
$3.35 OMG
$3.99 WTF

She said it looked like it was taken from a real gas station sign.

Now, who can this american blame? I know, I shall blame Belgium. First waffles and now this.

what we really need to do is take our power back all together and make alternative fuel options a priority... lets take some responsibility let them have there gas because we would no longer be dependant, instead of fighting lets actually solve the problem its not that far fetched...

The price in our fair Ontario Town is 1.059 per litre, which is still a far cry from .49 per GALLON we paid in the seventies.

Someone is taking us for a ride. Things don't add up folks.

It's about 1.039 here in Toronto.
Better compared to Labor day weekend when it was 1.37 some places
but still too much.

Hmm interesting..

say.. 3 weeks ago before Katrina gas was 2.55 per gallon for cheap gas. After Katrina gas went to 3.20 to 3.49 for cheap gas. Now its where I get gas is 2.98 per gallon for cheap gas.

so to recap.

$2.55 Before Katrina
$3.20 to $3.49 after Katrina
$2.89 now.

By the way I live near Pittsburgh Pa.

Leesburg VA. back down to $2.79-$2.89 from a peak of $3.39

Fargo: $2.98/gallon average.

My sister's local petrol station in England: $7.04/gallon.

Methinks us in the US might want to stop and think for a second....

N/W Arizona, Chevron stations:

87 octane was $3.16 last Sunday-Monday.
Tuesday it was $2.98.

I saw a couple of independents at $2.90.
They had been at $3.09 when Chevron et al were also at $3.09.

So it looks like prices are coming down.

My wife and I drove down to Laughlin, Nevada for dinner and a show last Tuesday.
The high gas prices are affecting tourism.
Even though it was a weekday, there were about a third of the cars driving the main drag that are usually there.

Parking, another indicator.
Easily found and lots of it.

Restaurants were relatively uncrowded as well.
