goregrinder, good work. I've been bouncing between Fox News and CNN. The next time they take a break to change Larry King's Depends, I'll flip over there...to ABC

Everyone seems to only be concerned with New York, but Detroit and other places dont have power either. I can already tell you detroit will be hell tonight....

There part of the distraction. Everything focusing on New York. New York is not the only place hit.

What the hell is going on elsewhere in blackout zone?

Well, the focus is on new york because it's a metropolitan zone that dwarfs all the other ones hit. Also, the networks have their reporters there.

The story might move to Detroit if you have massive rioting and looting tonight.

As for the rest of the 'zone', what goes on in canada, anyways?

Please, let's figure out if this is, in fact, a conspiracy BEFORE we go scaring each other and over-reacting. It may just be an engineering problem, after all... and going nuts will just make the situation worse than it is.

All i have heard is that cleaveland water supply is now very low.....

Is the black out in Bagdad still out

No one is freakin out. Were trying to see whats going on, whats happening, and trying to catch things as they come out of the news before, if any tampering, takes place.

Were staying on top of it because this is of great concern, and something is going on.

People in cleaveland have even been told not to light a cigg as the may not be enough water to fight a fire.

Dunno, Uni. The Chcago fires were started by a cow who kicked over a lantern. Might be a good idea not to smoke. No word if gas lines ahve been affected.

Im smokin like mad now, because we had a power outage here. At first, i freaked out thinking, oh # not here too, i went outside to see what was going on, turned out to be a bunch of punk kids hitting the circuit breakers on apartment buildings thinking it would be funny. Power restored, and manager dragged the little bastards into the front office.

No blackout in Seattle, thankfully

Now we know.. that this conversation is out of place here in "War on terrorism" section.. as there have been nothing that indicates that this is work of terrs.. but then again.. we still not know what caused all this.. cause US gov. said it wasnt a lightning..

I doubt it was lightening all the local news weather guys are saying how ridiculous that is and showing their radar maps and what not.

You're right - here in Cleveland we're about to run out of water.

(sad being we live right on Lake Erie)

What's odd is I have power, but hardly anyone else in the great Cleveland area does. (I live a mile or so away from a power plant - don't know if that has anything to do with it)

We have a curfew here also - but, it's just for those under 18. (which is the case all the time, btw) No martial law yet, lol.

I'll tell you what is scary... If they are telling the truth!!!!

Look at us we are so powerful...oops... a single bolt of lightning now we have no power in the east... good thing we didn't have a strong storm... Please terrorists don't attack us we are too strong... just look at how we took on a single bolt of lightning!!!

One thing that will be interesting to see is when William comes back on, when he gets power back. perhaps he can shed a little light (no pun) on the situation.

Interesting.

And all I have done all morning is set up a garage sale for a local Hospice.

Is FEMA going to be invoked in some way?

Are Americans about to suffer another round of erosions of their basic rights through another corrupt incumbent administration plan?

What is 'Whispers' take on all this?

I heard it was a fire...but that don't make any sence at all either. Propaganda and mis-oops disinformation are wonerful tools. Also as another member said in the chit chat thread about this, need to know...

No one needs to know why the power is out in a KEY geographical location. It's too late to get any good info as thats only availiable from on the scene reports. And I'm certain anyone who was involved has been advised to remain hush about any truth of this matter.

...that there were rumours of a fire, then went to a news site which stated that the black smoke someone observed was from the powerplant shutting down it's boilers since there was no place for the power to go anyway, wonder how long it takes to fire up them boilers when the grid is opened back up?.

Whats really messed up is people have been kicked out of thier hotels and are on the streets right now, no place to go. The hotels kicked em out for security reasons. No place to take a crap, a piss, people who are tired have no where to sleep. If they want to antagonize people, they are doin a good job.

And masked, FEMA has been put on standby "ready to help". So, fEMA is awake, and NORAD has indeed dispatched jets over the east coast, they upped the patrols.

What it stands for? I know that NORAD is North American air-defense command.. but Of this FEMA i dont have a clue..
