Israel agrees to 4-hour daily pauses in Gaza fighting to allow civilians to flee

I picked up on the Yahoo! skyscraper because it lets me blend
in with the other mouth-breathers. I admit to being redeamed.

It seems Mr. Biden has Cajoled Bibi to hold off for four hours a
day from leveling everything AND everybody in the North Strip:
and allow the Palestinians to flee the previously unrelenting,
kosher hellfire and cup o' venom every second so they can be
properly destitute and homeless.

My take on one side or the other may be as pragmatic as Mr. Trump:
who didn't actually take sides other than intending to STOP the DEATH.

This setup, however viewed is probably better than nothing. And I'll
give sleepy Joe credit for trying to stop things for three or more days
re: hostage trades.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Israel has agreed to put in place
four-hour daily humanitarian pauses in its assault on Hamas
in northern Gaza starting on Thursday, the White House said,
as President Joe Biden pressed Israelis for a multi-day
stoppage in the fighting in a bid to release hostages held
by the militant group. Biden said Thursday that there was
“no possibility” of a formal cease-fire at the moment,
and said it had “taken a little longer" than he hoped for
Israel to agree to the humanitarian pauses. Biden had
asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to institute
the daily pauses during a Monday call and said he had also
asked the Israelis for a pause of at least three days to allow
for negotiations over the release of some hostages held by
Hamas.

“Yes,” Biden said, when asked whether he had asked Israel
for a three-day pause. “I’ve asked for even a longer pause

These guys and when allowed gals have been at this for a little
too long, for calling it sane one way or another. It's programmed in --

biblical mistake for US to get involved in it.

So, you support the long drawn out conflict that kills more on both sides including civilians instead of getting it over with? Do you think Hamas will not be using every hour of not being attacked to reorganize, reposition and resupply? Do you actually expect Hamas to let their propaganda shields leave?

I am not supporting the kill everyone mentality but why let the enemy have it easy every day to be able to fight back better?

I think that the west has deluded itself via the constant thoughts of WW2 that war can be humanitarian. War is brutal and horrible and innocent people will die. If not for the only purpose of vanquishing the "evil" temporarily of who the bad side is and who the good side is.

I say let Israel do what it may, without the help of the USA in actual human meat. If they win, they win, if they lose, they lose. Not my problem, and I wish most of us would realize it isnt theirs either.

For in fact, if Israel would have been allowed to keep its gains and standing after the 1967 and 1973 wars, I doubt any of this would have happened now. However since we in the "west" are enthralled with this idea that we can somehow make war positive, things will only get worse until we get involved in WW3.

Sad that we never learn to keep our noses out of other peoples business.

It seems that this is just another planned "migrant crisis".

The "great replacement" in action, although individually none of the players see it that way.

There will only be a permanent state of war if Benjamin Netanyahu allows it. There are only a handful of HAMAS officials who FUND/ORGANIZE/PLAN the significant attacks.

If you want the attacks and deaths to continue, let these officials live long, wealthy lives.

If you want them to slow to a trickle, saving thousands of lives on both sides, cut off the head of the dragon. When a replacement is named, kill him too.

THAT is how Trump caused ISIS to crumble. He was NOT AFRAID to kill the leaders as they were crowned, no matter what country gave them sanctuary.

It all boils down to PRIORITES. Netanyahu could demolish the HAMAS organization FAST, if...IF preserving the lives of beautiful innocent Israelis and Palestinians were a TOP PRIORITY of his.

So, a 4 hour ceasefire every day? What happens if Hamas attacks Israel during those four hours?

If Isreal stops shooting, what will the AST pro-Hamas crowd say if Hamas continues to attack? Will Israel FINALLY be justified in leveling Gaza and the West Bank?

This is a mistake.

You never pause in battle or you will lose the initiative and momentum. You never let the enemy breath or give them a chance to reog, as it will give them the time to set up ambushes etc and resupply.

Israel needs to keep going until hamas is utterly destroyed from the river to the sea.

I just want those ATS members who support Hamas (or, are yelling for a "ceasefire ") to say, right NOW whether they will continue to support Hamas (aka ceasefire) if Hamas attacks Irael during those four hours.

What happens when Hamas is openly moving supplies, moving positions, setting up traps etc.?

The IDF knows this as well as anyone, so very surprised they agreed to it. Either something very substantial got traded under the table. Or everyone knows the ceasefire won't survive the first day, and this is just a formality to keep Biden out of their business.
