There is a interesting video showing a ufo flying past bystanders at a beach. The object seems like its was flying at incredible speed well over 10 000mph or mach 13

Just for context this is what mach 10 looks like on the ground.

The object definitely couldn't be a missile or a meteorite because both objects would've left a trail, However since this happened during a thunderstorm this could perhaps be a rare case of ball lightning. , Other people have commented that it might just be reflections from one of the cars driving by. What ever that was it was fast that's for sure.

UFO? More like a bird.

That jet is not traveling at mach10, it may travel around mach 1-2.

And the light appears just as that car drives by in the opposite direction, could also be a lense reflection.

ahh I see it was mach 1 speed up 10x so it's mach10...

Birds aren’t shaped like long cylinders.

Nor can they move that fast.

Not sure where the OP got 10,000 MPH, but it’s definitely faster than a bird.

I agree, Birds are not shaped like long cylinders. Nor can they travel 10,000 MPH.

Depends on how close to the camera it was. Things can look like streaks or cylinder shapes etc. i.e. artifacts, due to the low shutter speed.

One streak of lightning traveling horizontally through the clouds .
This one was too easy .

So 670,000,000 mph

So 670,000,000 mph

That's 186,282 mp/s or 11,176,920 mp/h .
So , your speed would violate the Laws of Physics .

What is 186,282 X 60 = ? Then ? X 60 =

Definitely not a bird, lol. That's just silly. My guess is some weird electrical phenomenon related to the storm. Over the years, they are always discovering unknown stuff there. Nothing says craft from what I can see though and I am a firm believer.

I always find it funny when people state the velocity of an object they do not know at a distance they do not know as if they could know it.

The only thing we can know when looking at a video like this is how long the object stayed in the frame. Knowing the lens' characteristics it's possible to know the angular velocity, like 120º per second, for example.

IF we know the distance it's possible to know the velocity. IF we know the size of the object and the lens' charecteristics we can know the velocity.

Without knowing the size or distance of the object it's impossible to know the velocity at which it was traveling.

PS: to me it looks like an insect, like the supposed "rods". We can even see that there's some difference in the way it looks when after crossing the centre of the frame, like an insect flapping its wings against a darkish background while illuminated by a light source behind the camera.

I missed a ufo/uap/skyfish,rod in Braveheart???

Safe to say that wasn't a Chinese lantern, weather balloon, or temperature inversion.
COOL!!!

I keep forgetting there are a lot of UFO newbies on ATS. My first thought on seeing the video was, "Everyone knows that's a ROD ufo."
