A truly remarkable woman who deserves all the respect and recognition she is getting.

There are only a tiny handful of people throughout human history who have held so much power but acted with such grace, consistency and service. May she rest in piece.

Full credit to the security services for the job they've done so far under given all the potential threats.

Also no adverts are being shown in the UK on the majority of channels today as a mark of respect

Can you imagine the filthy company CEOs knowing full well this will be the most watched TV event in history and they cant put there crappy adverts on TV for the day, its the equvilant of the superbowl halftime show slots, that is just another reason to be grateful today.

Been watching for several hours now.

The history and tradition is remarkablely palpable; as if one is both in the present, the past of centuries ago, and glimpsing a hint of the future.

They should have waited another week to wrap it up, to keep pumping up the news lines with absurd platitudes / royalty cow toeing / vain accolades / etc etc bizarro sentiments.

They should bury with her that gold piano that she might as well have been playing in that public address video about global poverty.

What I find very disturbing is that 99% of the people who came there have their idiot mobile phones in front of their faces. None of them can say they were actually watching this live. Why are they filming this? Whatever happened to seeing and experiencing things with your own eyes and keeping it in memory with the knowledge you actually looked at things whilst they were happening?
They won't watch it over and over because there is better official footage of this, they can't make money with it later because there are thousands of these idiot little clips and it's nothing special.

And please those who hate the Queen, be adult and hold back your disdain because you must be aware that your opinion isn't actually the only one, nor the right one. I have enough emotions and respect, not get into the explanation here at this moment in time.

History , it's unlikely we will see another Monarch reign so long , it's a mix of history being made and history being lost at the same time.
