There isn't a single higher order animal in the world that contains that sequence and yet it magically formed at exactly the furin cleavage site which allowed it to infect humans.

A Formal Investigation needs to be held, followed by trials, while the perpetrators are still alive, and the before the statutes of limitations expire. (That's what's Durham is up against in his investigation/prosecutions)

The people who wrote those articles were wrong. Plain and simple.

There isn't really any room for doubt on this. What is described in those documents simply isn't gain of function. It's something that a person who doesn't understand what gain of function is might mistake for gain of function. Which demonstrates clearly that the people who wrote that simply don't understand what gain of function really means.

My evidence IS the fact that what is described simply isn't gain of function.

It's like me showing you a picture of a cat and telling you that it's not a dog. I don't need a signed affidavit from the Pope to say that it's a cat, it provides its own evidence.

Here are some other people explaining at length why this isn't gain of function.

There are currently 7 completely separate coronavirus pandemics going on right now. 6 of them have been going on for over a decade but you've never heard of them as they just give you the sniffles. You've probably had at least one of them, but you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it and a mild case of the flu.

SARS and MERS were both Coronavirus, and they both crossed the globe, both are much more deadly that SARS-Cov-2 but are less transmissible.
