Good point. I really hadn't included the gay factor in my thinking. In that case, it makes womanface more of a desire or fantasy -- something they want to be. As opposed to Blackface, which (historically) represented something no one would want to be.

Like the young boy dancing in drag at a gay bar...totally fine.. No pedo there...noop...

Safeguarding has gone out the proverbial window and it's reprehensible.

But the world is full of social double standards.

True. Intersectionality and Victim Olympics makes it all even worse. Too many vying for labels with special entitlements and privileges.

Because race isn't a choice. Dressing in drag is. It's not great to make fun of people for attributes they were born with. Silly life choices are fair game.

Exactly. It's not great to make fun of people born black and it's not great to make fun of people born female. Neither Black nor female have a choice. Only the performers do be it Blackface or womanface.
