5780 is the Hebrew version. Though there are issues with years missing in the Rabbinic version.

They generally divide time into First Temple (built by Solomon) and Second Temple (built by Herod the Great).

Because so many people made this racial, we have missed the bigger concern I have: militarization of police and polic overreach. Unionization. Protecting bad cops.

This is getting completely absurd. I wish someone would come up to me in the streets demanding something like that.

Bowing the knee can be seen as a sign of submission and/or worship. God had a group of prophets who did not bow the knee to Baal in Elijah’s day.

Ananias, Hananiah, and Mishael refuses to bow and we’re put into a fiery furnace.

I think it makes sense to make a personal decision not to bow to anyone unless you wish to serve them.

Like here , more so in the past, it seems when a nugget of information is revealed an avalanche of other news or spam inundates ... with MSM and Tech companies in cahoots finding older relevant info is getting difficult but not impossible ... Keep on Keeping on and spread the Word .... The Swamp is getting desperate to remain relevant.... Well logic says you can't prove a negative anyway so there is that.

What we can do is know that when something big was predicted it did or didn't come true.

The issue with proving one way or another should have ended for us with the Q post that i will paraphrase that "some misdirection required" line to say it is about what is right not what is wrong at this point. I hope what is wrong will be overshadowed by what is right. So far I along with Care and many like you are saying "where is the progress" and until a week or two ago it was nowhere in site.

And I humbly bow on bent knees at the alter in Church. I would bow in prayer as I see but I would stand up and admonish them to do good . Politely explain while I had their attention that they will go to jail or even prison if they tear up the city, destroying property and hurting individuals. I would remind them protest is allowed any day as long as it is peaceful. And that everyone has the right to protest but no one has the right to destroy property that doesn't belong to them.

A personal observation. I am also on bent knees when in church because I am humble before God.

Protesters are not divine. No matter whether they are calm or violent.

My view: CT is on the correct track with her take. The police interaction with protesters is not a matter of individuals interacting with each other. It is the interaction of groups, and a far different (and more primitive) psychology is afoot in such situations.

I've mentioned the problems with union rules several times on the forums here.

If police unions function like teachers' unions, then it's very, very hard to fire a bad cop just because of the employment protection rules built in. Once a teacher has tenure from the union, some districts will simply assign those teachers to what are called rubber rooms and pay them to sit there all day rather than try to fire them. It's less costly.

I have no reason to believe that the cop union is any different.

People want to blame police for defending each other and that's why bad cops stick around, but is it that or the union rules?

Re: Mattis.

Doubtlessly, he was an outstanding officer of Marines.

I suspect once he became immersed in national politics, he was no longer in his element.

I further suspect that he furiously resents President Trump for having relieved him of his duties.

He has amply served his country. I would not be one to want to curtail his freedom of speech.

However. His timing in this case is piss-poor, and his motivation is vindictive. With his comments, he served no one but himself.

The flag ranks in the military is its own can of worms, and has been an issue that has surfaced periodically since 1945. Too many of them have DS connections and become thereby beholden to agendas that are in direct conflict with the solemn oaths they took to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Mattis should either find a role to pursue that is in line with his qualifications, or, learn to gracefully hold his tongue on topics outside of his area of expertise. As it is, he has allowed himself to become a cudgel with which the MSM can once again assault the authority of the Executive Office.
