Statistics clearly show that 99% of those in the United States who have CoronaVirus-19, are not sick enough to warrant hospitalization.

Naturally, the number of U.S. deaths from CoronaVirus-19 are therefore, minimal.

Since the cancellations, panic, and hysteria in the U.S. are blown way out of proportion relative to what the statistics say, what entities are driving this overreaction? What do they have to gain?

Actually, the symptoms are so mild it doesn’t even justify not going to work — let alone the hospital.

Only a pansy would stay home from work with this crap.

Rudy Gobert, the basketball player that contracted it, which caused them to suspend the entire NBA season — was going to play in the freaking game last night.

It's pretty obvious to me, that MSM is the biggest beneficiary, on a couple of ways.

By continually fear mongering, they keep gullible ppl glued to their broadcasts.

It also gives them the opportunity to beat Trump over the head, no matter what he does, for something he really has no control over.

It's becomming a self fulfilling prophesy.

Don't misunderstand, I think any time there is a widespread, potentially deadly viral outbreak, ppl should be informed, and sensible actions taken to mitigate the damage.

I don't think it should become weaponized for partisan politics. That kind of nonsense is not in the best interests of the country.

But hey, it has been a long time since that mattered to politicians.

Well, like I stated on another thread the other day, CDC officials have stated the coronavirus is 10 times worse than the seasonal flu bug, which has a .1% fatality rate. That makes the fatality rate of the coronavirus to be 1%. And, yes it's true that older folks may have serious complications from it.

However, you have about the same chance (.97%) from dying in a car wreck. LINK

If an MRI or CATScan were given to most Americans, you'd find that the majority have "no symptom" cancer, or cardio-vascular disease.

There's obviously a Mainstream Media conspiracy driving the hysteria. If their past actions over the past 3 years are an indicator, the underlying desire is to hurt President Trump's re-election chances.

If an NBA player contracts the Flu virus, he is told to stay home.

For the NBA to cancel a season over CoronaVirus is another example of an irrational decision that's waaaaay out of proportion.

Eventually, this conspiracy and the reasons behind it, will be exposed. Before that, Americans will wake up to the realization that they're being snookered....and be pissed.

Exactly right. I was talking to a lady today who didn't believe the government statistics. The MSM has convinced her that "this deadly virus is sweeping the nation". She even Cancelled her trip to the Bahamas for next Friday.

1% of currently active cases are serious. This is not counting patients who have already died. And it does not account for mild caeses which will progress to serious condition. According to observers in china as many as 20% of cases will require extended hospitalization. This is the main cause for concern, because at the rate that the virus spreads, it has the potential to overwhelm the system's ability to provide treatment for all patients. out of that 20%, about a fourth will require artifical respiration. Certain parts of Italy have already exausted their ability to provide life saving treatment for all patients.

Also people with a lot of money that like to play the stock market. It's going to go back up, that's a given, so lots of people are buying now that it's down close to 21k. I don't have spare bucks to play like that or I would too. So those people are going to do very well when it goes back up. Also, the Saudis and Russians are trying to kill the US oil producers so there is that too.
