With 99% Percent of U.S. Covid-19 Victims Classified as Mild - What Entities Benefit From Hysteria?.

The medical supply chain will profit. Stores from corner market to big box are reaping profits. Hospital ER visits and doctors offices are pretty busy, and that brings in money.
States and cities around the nation are sticking their hand in the government cookie jar for emergency funds, as seen a few minutes ago on Facebook feed:

Pullman Mayor Glenn Johnson has declared a State of Emergency for the City of Pullman, effective today. The emergency declaration facilitates potential future assistance related to COVID-19, including business assistance from the Small Business Administration (SBA), as well as access to regional and State resources. This declaration is a means to ensure all necessary resources will be available if needed.

The states advertising for quarantine nurses are offering an unbelievably high salary.

The losers are the little guys- mom and pop businesses, restaurants and the like- so they'll have to apply for small business relief funds and loans.

It's a big ugly mess that will take decades and multiple organizations to untangle and figure out. In the mean time, I see a plethora of new laws being made, and new government branches being created that will enrich the family members of the ruling caste. Think Hunter Biden, and a whole hoard of others who have made their fortune just by being related to a politician, with little to no investment or qualifications necessary.

That's a start.

Big pharma can sit back and wait till everyone is desperate, and we look to the gods of science to save us.

We will let lord lab coat test us, get all our info and DNA, and then inject us with their solutions, The Final Solution. It will target the unwanted genes and slowly take out millions that don’t fit their mold.

During the great depression a lot of people lost everything, and those that were able brought property for pennies on the dollar, leaving them in a pretty good position in later years.
My grandmother's scrap book from that era still has some commodity vouchers for sugar and other staples.
The financial effect across the globe has the potential to do far more damage than this virus.

Or lazy people, my wife works in health care and the doctor is a specialist, so not just a regular care doctor who would write a note for you to stay home but there are a few patients who are asking for a note from the doctor to get out of going to work.

Their cooking the books by not testing people, took me 10 mins to find multiple news articles and social media post of health care people begging for tests.

There's obviously a Mainstream Media conspiracy driving the hysteria. If their past actions over the past 3 years are an indicator, the underlying desire is to hurt President Trump's re-election chances.

It's too bad they don't have a viable Democratic candidate...or they might stand a chance of taking back the White House.

I think some of it has to do with the people who have been following this since it was isolated to Wuhan. When that was going you had no clue about the virus because you were glued to "your" media about the bs impeachment hearings, the country aside from a handful of us here didn't know anything about it either. Those of us who were following it from the start then watched it spread throughout Asia and Europe. We watched what happened in Wuhan start to happen in Italy. We seen how South Korea has handled the situation better than anyone. We see what's happening here in the US and for those who have been watching the whole time we know it's not good. It certainly isn't close to what South Korea is doing.

I know this is a serious situation that in all honesty is being down played by the media, maybe not I don't waste my time watching the news I'd much rather read and find the truth than be told what to think. But with that said my opinion of this situation is based on the events that have taken place and the unprecedented measures taken by countries around the world. To think they are all collapsing their economies and health care systems to advance a political agenda for US Democrats is completely batt s#$@ crazy

The seasonal flu kills 0.14% of people per year. Covid 19 is currently at 3.5%. I have not seen one post from you in regards to this where you remotely touch on any factual information

I agree- but that doesn't explain why the whole world is failing financially over a virus that mainly affects the elderly, or why the US is making this out to be such a big threat to the age groups most likely not to have any serious problems from it.

I'm not the brightest cracker in the box, but I would think the highest concentration of efforts would be on protection the elderly- not wait until an entire nursing home is in jeopardy before implementing safety protocols.

It makes no sense, no matter how you look at it. When things just don't add up there's usually some not-so-benevolent motive.

There's also a difference between this particular delusion and the others humankind typically deal in - this one doesn't care if you believe in it or not, it will do its thing. And it's actually going to hurt you to be ignorant of the facts, unlike most of the time, when you can get away with it! So just be careful, don't underestimate this virus at your own peril.

We really don't know any solid info, the problem with a fatality rate is, we really have no idea how many are infected.
So, I'm not sure this is the end of it all, I also can't buy into the crap our sycophant OP is trying to sell.

You're correct! 50% is too high. I was just pointing out how statistics were being manipulated. Yeah, we don't know the death rate, but it is way more than 1% and the flu is only .1%

Yes it does. China is the world's second biggest economy and they aren't producing anything now. They make most of our pharmaceuticals among pretty much everything else. I think we can agree on that. When the global supply chain comes to halt it's going to ripple through the economy. Now the biggest economy in the world is facing the same issues, the airline and travel industry is in shambles businesses around the world are shutting down. How could that not impact the global financial markets.

All age groups can be carriers for the virus. I agree with you about the elderly more should be done and we finally started doing something about it. Had we done it earlier it may not have been as bad as it potential can be.

A fatality rate of 1% is roughly 10 times the fatality rate of seasonal flu. Also, COVID-19 is approximately twice as contagious as seasonal flu. If you can follow the math, that means that approximately 20 times as many people could die this year from COVID-19 as die from seasonal flu.
