Both conceptually and morally, Afghanistan is a "loser war." WaPo knows this because they have been writing about the Afghanistan Papers.

If what's written about the war is true, the Warhawks are liars and full of themselves. And, as it turns out, deep state "Yes" men playing a dangerous game.

While Trump isn't the most eloquent speaker, we know from many instances that he's nowhere near the "dummy" he's portrayed to be.

This TDS book du jour will go the way of the rest of them have---into the dumpster and quickly forgotten.

And you'd be OK with you dying while his family of privilege flies the other way to one of their estate/resorts/getaways?

This man would not die for even his own family....whereas...YOU? You would...and we thank you for your service.

God Bless

So, the Washington post is quoting from a book written by reporters from the Washington Post. I guess the post is rewarding anyone they can get false information from, this time by advertising a book that comes out to boost sales of the people who work for them.

Is this the new way to give bonuses now?

How many US soldiers and civilians were killed during Obama's presidency, and how many have been killed under Trump? Trump has been eliminating those who were responsible for many of the deaths under Obama. He must be doing something right, or at least less wrong.

This is a new book written by Philip Rucker and Carol D. Leonning (Washington Post reporters) who paint a picture of a US president who has no clue what he's doing and appears to be very disrespectful of those serving their country.

How very original of them

They will stop at nothing in an attempt to ridicule and bad mouth Trump.
We have seen it for 3+ years.
I don’t buy this story at all, especially the part about how Trump didn’t know what Pearl Harbor was.
Do I believe he could have called out the Generals?...absolutely and that’s his prerogative, he is their boss as the CiC.

from the very first line in the article.

This article is adapted from “A Very Stable Genius: Donald J. Trump’s Testing of America,” which will be published on Jan. 21 by Penguin Press.

In poker there's a term called "pot commited". Pot commited means when a player has already invested so many chips in the pot that he can no longer fold if he is raised all-in
That's how pro Trump folks on ATS are.
Every piece of evidence that exposes Trumps corruption or incompetence is met with denial because these people have invested so much time in defending him and portraying him to be this great genius patriotic leader.

Tillerson had grown alarmed by gaping holes in Trump’s knowledge of history,

In his books and on the campaign trail. Trump has no made no effort to hide the fact that he’s a decision-maker . He doesn’t need to know all the details. He hires people from both sides listens to them and makes his call. Kind a like a vice President of a construction company coming on a job site where he’s out of touch about about what’s going on. Then one style is to raise hell and piss everybody off to get them working harder .

In 2017 a reporter asked trump how long he concentrates on an issue. His reply was “ as long as I have to “. Lol

calling Afghanistan a “loser war.”

I’m sure no military officer likes hearing that. But it’s 100% true .

This was a president who had been labeled a “draft dodger” for avoiding service in the Vietnam War under questionable circumstances.

Yup questionable was right. So are the allegation . I can’t think of once where Trump defended himself against a accusation. He hits back because of aggressiveness which is a good trait when dealing with people . Not going to debate this but “Nice guys finish last”

He’s sure of himself so he doesn’t feel the need to doesn’t defend himself . .

Defending yourself sounds to much like an excuse.

It’s a motto to I live by too “ never let anybody put you on the defensive “

So I’ll stand in for Trump here.

Nobody knows whether he has one of these or not. But if he did it sure as hell would make it counterintuitive to marching.

Trump has a different style of doing things. Win or loose it’s served him well in life .

People shouldn’t whine about how things get done.

Just concentrate on the results and remember nobody’s perfect .

Not so much that. We're totally against the moonbat looneytunes that are running the DNC currently. Lesser of two evils. Socialism has always failed where it's tried out and it killed billions along the way. And yet they think it will work here?

Just LOL.
And you anti-Trump people have so much derangement invested because he won that you can’t stop and switch to the winning side now.
What are you going to do for an encore when he wins again?

I wore a uniform, and one of the Presidents I served under came into the office after working as a performer from Hollywood. Not very much different than the President we have today.

I was not crazy about Reagan and I am not crazy about Trump, but I did and I still respect the office of the Presidency.

My greatest pet peeve is that Americans have not learned you vote for the man, not the party, and that we don't have a system that will support the right person for the job, because we put people in office for all the wrong reasons.

The whole process is rigged, and as long as we keep following the script we are handed, we become the actors, or should I say puppets.

Wash rinse repeat.

The media is about pushing an agenda, and it has nothing to do with telling the truth or benefiting the American people. The media is owned by the same people we say we want change from. Yet we still salivate every time they ring that bell.

Please, show us the evidence....all you're presenting is hearsay, rumors, hate-filled bias, liberal talking points. Do you see a pattern !? The Mueller report and the impeachment should give you a clue. TDS is flourishing , while denying ignorance is no where to be found.

So the gist of the article is 'Trump talks to other people like an asshole'? Who didn't know that already.

the sad thing is the DNC lost to him... and with the current crop of whack jobs they have fighting to run against him there is a good chance he wins again.

if the Democrats would offer something different than what they have and offer a platform that appealed to the majority of independent/middle ground voters they would have won 2016 in a walk, and would have won in 2020 as well.

Instead of people trying to tell me how horrible mean, nasty, juvenile trump is, give me a change I can accept to encourage me to vote against him.

But the economy is doing well, unemployment is down, (in record numbers for some groups) he appears to be fighting china for the economic benefit of America...

I didnt vote for Donald, wont in 2020 either, but no way will I vote for a democrat either.

The DNC needs a platform that cant be distilled into SJW talking points... higher taxes, more illegals, more infringement on our rights, bigger nanny state, they have forgotten how to speak to the blue collar worker that doesn't live on social media and scream in outrage over a tasteless joke.

Actually several Dem candidates are probably OK, it's just that team Trump has no qualms about character assasination and has control over several media outlets.

The Dems talk about political issues. Team Trump talk about sniffing hair, or clulessness, or make unfounded criminal allegations. It doesn't matter if it is true or not, is it damaging?
