The Shed 24

Night was deep in the enchanted forest when the colorful swirling mist appeared indicating that it was time to move. The Elvin Queen had sensed it earlier and searched for a portal, one that actually worked. When she arrived, the Shed Castle was already there. A light snow fell gently upon the earthen floor, glittering beneath the silver moon. This would be an early Christmas gift to everyone. She smiled contentedly.

I just spent ages typing out a detailed reply about where all of the adopted animals came from...
And lost it when I tried to reply in the old shed!! (I should've checked that it was still open for business before composing a reply!!)

So, short version:
Rabbit came from an elderly neighbour who passed away.
Tortoise was found in a field by my dad with a hole in it's shell (probably shot with a pellet gun).
Jackie the Jackdaw flew in my bedroom window one morning and basically stayed for the summer!
