Hubby's been dropping some major hints at wanting a pair of house slippers the past few weeks,
so on behalf of the
kids, I got him these bad boys:
They're faux shearling lined, which means holy gawd, are they soft and warm in there. I tried on one slipper when they arrived yesterday afternoon
while hubs was napping, I was very tempted to say screw it & keep them for me, lol.
I didn't want to get him any ol' cheap slipper with poor grips, or that would fall apart ASAP, etc. I figured if I'm going to get some, they might as
well be good ones. For pretty much the first time ever regarding a dad gift, the kids were in unanimous agreement that these are perfect, so we went
with them.
Although, the older kid almost blew it in the store yesterday evening, hubs was eyeballing slippers again. Her whispers aren't whisper
enough,
"
Hey! Don't let dad b--" That was quickly cut off my me clapping a hand over her mouth to shush her mid-sentence. He did noticed that, so I
fake-scolded her for using swears in public, kid just gave me a dirty "He's not going to fall for that" look, except he did buy it, so that worked
out, lol.
Between the book from me, and the slippers from the kids, I don't think he's going to be disappointed at all. He never asks for anything, thus never
expects much, but what we do get for him always is a home run.
