If China had real sci-fi space technology like movie/tv.

Do you think they will build them way faster than us?

I mean the speed that they build cities is already amazing. Roads and going through mountains is even more insane.

What if they were given space battleships, destroyers and fighters to build?

If they offer you a job to join the space force would you join them?

Remember when they say we would have flying cars in the future?

We all know they don't have the tech because, if they do. US companies profiting in China would be releasing them already and we would see them in their military parades / by satellite picture.

They would build them fast from ripped off patents and sub par materials. Then paint the inside using lead.
The factory would also employ slave labour and have suicide nets to stop jumpers off the roof. You can only work there if your social score is high enough.

They got too much to worry about, they cannot afford to build sci-fi fantasies. They have an aging population of 1.5billion people, a transformation from a manufacturing to a service economy and financial woes up the ying-yang.

China can build so fast because they cut corners in very bad ways, like cheap materials and even cardboard walls and stuff like that. For serious things like space travel they will never grow so fast because you can't just cut corners like they do for roads and buildings

In general they build cities as disposable, only to last a few years then they have to rebuild because the houses/buildings start falling apart

You can't have that for spaceships or anything serious like space travel or flying cars

They are quickly expending their resources .

Their whole society is shaped around group conformity, the opposite of innovative/rebellious thinking we have in the West.

This Chinese group conformity is great for mass production, large factories and megaprojects.
For innovative thinking, not so much...

There are plenty of plausible explanations for why China has caught up with the west so fast and the most obvious is that they have been used by our corporations whom have trained there workers in our technology to produce our good's, the Chinese knowingly sold cheap labor to the stupid westerners like a carrot on a string in front of a donkey in order to get those idiot western government's ruled by there short term profit minded soulless corporation's to get them to build up china and to manufacture everything from toasters to top secret military grade technology there in China were the Chinese could then cherry pick it, learn it's secrets, cultivate there own crop of scientific expert's mostly trained by those western corporations for there own benefit.

Oh that and they supposedly have there own UFO crash sites (But even if they had the technology they could not analyze it until they got western Expertise or rather there own scientists TRAINED up and educated by Western expert's, these Chinese UFO sites if they are real include the Dropa site and also they have shown a vast interest - more even than the Indian authority's did - in ancient Sanskrit descriptions of technology, that and they steal what they can not invent themselves remember the US spy plane they stripped bare a decade or so ago now.

Another way to look at it is that the Chinese have been VERY CLEVER indeed and have earned there place through hard work as much as the stupidity of others and of course historically they can argue that they had blast furnace technology - and then forgot it - as early as 700 ad, clockwork invention's, a world exploring fleet of giant junk's that got to the america's maybe a century before Columbus but did not then use there discovery - because a new emperor ordered all records destroyed and the fleet burned to the waterline as he was heavily influenced by Confucius - a bit like the US protectionists in fact almost exactly like the US protectionists, making his nation look inward and close off the outside world as it was a danger to them which resulted in China which at that time was technologically and militarily ahead of EVERYONE to go backward and be left behind as the world sped on and developed without them.

Funny how they had 5G comms implemented before any other country. Of course they probably stole the not yet developed tech. They probably have time travel technology that they stole from the Back to the Future movies.

No , I never said "only America has human ingenuity". Innovation mostly comes from the West though - cultural difference are there.

5G is an international standard created by the ITU - and yes China mostly stole what they have and ramps up factories faster, as large components of American or Western equipment is actually built in China.

Items that require innovation not tied to quick factory turnaround are still lagging in China compared to the West, for example China is struggling to produce competitive jetliners or jet engines, military jet engines in particular.

Basically, if China cannot easily access the information to copy something, it is unable/struggling to create it on its' own.

Well, China WILL either steal it or have it handed to them.

Yes, once given to them, I am quite sure they would be able to build knockoffs faster than anyone, with lead paint, out of spec tolerances, bad welds and underspec steel.

I doubt that is going to happen when people can't breathe in space though. Its not like building a boat. But, I can see them building fake ships and selling it in the black market to anyone who wants. 300 million dollar for space destroyer? I got one for 50 million dollars. You want it?

In all seriousness. No one is going to build space ships that break apart instantly in space. You lose a lot of customers lost in space.
